Controls
A Control-LED (lights up on
use of buttons)
B Keypad for switching channels 1 to 4 (left column “ON” = on, right column
“OFF” = off)
C Coding switch I, II, III, IV for one of the four address codes
D Battery compartment for a 12 V battery of type “23A”
E Control-LED (lights up when the mains socket on the front is activated)
F Front socket for connecting of a consumer load, with child-proof lock
G Coding switch I, II, III, IV for one of the four address codes
H Coding switch for switch channel selection 1, 2, 3, 4
I Safety plug for connection to the mains socket
Inserting/replacing the Battery
Open the battery compartment (D) on the back of the hand-held radio
transmitter and insert a 12V-battery (type “23A”) with the correct polarity
(observe imprint in the battery compartment or the figure). Close the battery
compartment again.
The batteries need to be replaced if the range of the hand-held radio
transmitter is significantly reduced or the control-LED (A) no longer lights
when the buttons are used.
Setting the Address Codes
One of the four address codes (I, II, III, IV) can be set on both the hand-
held radio transmitter and the radio-controlled switch socket. Therefore, up
to four identical radio-controlled switch sets can be operated without
influencing each other.
Select one of the address codes (I, II, III, IV) on the hand-held radio
transmitter via the sliding switch (C). Set exactly the same address code on
the related radio-controlled switch socket(s); use a flat screwdriver for
turning the coding switch (G).
If you set a different code on the hand-held radio transmitter and the
radiocontrolled switch socket, the switch socket will not react to the
switching commands on the hand-held radio transmitter!
Setting the Switching Channel of the Radio-Controlled Switch Socket
On the back of the radio-controlled switch socket there is a further coding
switch (H) that is marked by the numbers “1”, “2”, “3” and “4”. It is used to
select one of the four switching channels (the hand-held radio transmitter has
also imprinted the number “1”, “2”, “3” and “4”) if more than one radio
controlled switch socket is operated.
It is of course possible to set the same switching channel for two or more
radio controlled switch sockets. By means of this, the two radio-controlled
switch sockets are activated or deactivated by one keystroke.
Start-up, Function Test
Plug the radio-controlled switch socket (without the consumer load connected!)
into the designated earthed mains socket.
You can now test the function of the radio-controlled switch socket, by
briefly pressing the respective “ON” button for the corresponding switching
channel (1, 2, 3 or 4). The red control-LED (E) on the radio-controlled switch
socket lights up. The mains socket
(F) on the front is now activated; mains voltage is available and a connected
consumer load is turned on.
Briefly press the “OFF” button of the switching channel and the control-LED
(E) is turned off; mains voltage at the mains socket (F) and therefore the
connected consumer load is turned off.
Operation
Connect the consumer load to the mains socket (F).
**** Please consult the section “Technical Information” for the permissible
maximum power of the consumer load.
By using the respective “ON” or “OFF” buttons of the switching channel at the
handheld radio transmitter, the radio-controlled switch socket is turned
on/off again with the same set switching channel (control-LED (E) lights up or
turns off).
Maintenance and Care
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be opened or
dissembled for any reason.
Remove connected consumer loads from the radio-controlled switch socket and
remove it from the mains socket, before cleaning the product.
Only clean the product with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Never use aggressive
cleansing agents or chemical solutions, since they might damage the housing or
impair the function of the device.
Handling
-
The product is only to be used in closed, dry indoor locations. The product must not get damp or wet.
-
Avoid the following unfavourable environmental conditions at the installation location and during transportation:
– Excessive humidity or dampness

Ensure that the insulation for the entire product is neither damaged nor destroyed. Never dissemble the product! There are no serviceable parts inside.
-
Check the product for damage before each use!
Discontinue product usage if you detect damages! There is danger to life through an electric shock!
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible:
– if the device is visibly damaged
– if the device no longer works
– if the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time
– following considerable stress during transportation
Range
The transmission range of the radio signals, between the hand-held transmitter
and the radio-controlled switch sockets, is up to 30m under optimal
conditions.
This value, however, is the so-called “open space range” (the range when
transmitter and receiver are visible to each other, without interfering
influences).
In practice, however, there may be walls, room ceilings etc. between the
transmitter and the receiver, which reduce the range accordingly.
Due to the different influences on the wireless transmission, no specific
range can be guaranteed.
Nevertheless, trouble-free operation in a single-family home is usually
possible.
Sometimes the range can be considerably reduced due to:
- Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
- Coated/metallised insulated glass
- Proximity to metallic & conductive objects (e.g., heating elements)
- Proximity to human bodies
- Broadband interferences, e.g. in residential areas (DECT telephones, mobiles, radio- controlled headphones, radio-controlled speakers, other radio-controlled weather stations, baby phones etc.)
- Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power-supply units, computers
- Proximity to computers or other electrical devices that are improperly shielded or operated without any cover
