Introduction
The infrared heater contains a carbon fiber formed reflector heating system
that provides even heat distribution.
The infrared heater saves 30%-40% of electricity in comparison to traditional
heaters. The infrared heater is commonly used for outdoor heating.
Warning
READ CAREFULLY – The infrared heater is designed for safe operation.
Nevertheless, installation, maintenance and operation of the heater can be
dangerous. Observing the following procedures will reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock, injury to person and keep installation time to a minimums.
Save these instructions for future use:
- Read all instructions before using this heater.
- Remove the unit from its package and check to make sure it is in good condition before using.
- Do not let children play with parts of package (such as plastic bags).
- Check the household voltage to ensure it matches the heater’s rated specification.
- Check the power cord and plug carefully before use to make sure that they are not damaged.
- Before unplugging the power cord, make sure to turn off the power. When energizing the unit, make sure your hands are dry to prevent form electric shock.
- Do not put flammable objects at places near or be pointed by the heater, such as furniture and pillows. Bedding, paper, cloths and curtains must be at least 3 feet (1meter ) from the front of the heater and always kept at the sides and rear of the heater.
- Do not use the heater near or in the immediate vicinity of a bath or swimming pool or any source of liquid.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening, as this may cause an electric shock, fire or damage to the heater.
- Always unplug the heater when not in use.
- Do not allow cord to overhang the counter top where it can be easily pulled by children.
- Do not put fingers or foreign objects into the grill while in operation.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.
- This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry and similar indoor locations. never locate the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
- No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non compliance with these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children and vulnerable people should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged in any way, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- To prevent overheating of this appliance, keep the heater clean and free of anything that may cause blockage. Check the heater from time to time to ensure it is clear of any dirt or dust accumulation.
- Parts of the heater may exceed 392°F(200°C). Contact with the heating tube, reflector, or metal parts near the heating tube may cause severe BURNS. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surface.
- ALWAYS allow heating element to cool at least 10 minutes before touching the heating tube or adjacent part.
- This product contains recyclable materials. Do not dispose this product as unsorted municipal waste. Please contact your local municipality for the nearest collection location.

Note: Indoor or well-protected environments will generally exceed average
coverage areas.
Heaters can provide less than average coverage in extremely cold/windy
conditions.

Note: Heater should be wall or ceiling mounted under well protected environments, at least keep 3 feet (0.9m) away from any combustible objects.

Caution: Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, curtains
at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from
the sides and rear.
Caution: Do NOT use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (out-
let/power strip).
Caution: Hot surface, do NOT touch.
Caution: Do Not cover with any objects such as blanket on the heater.
Assembly Instructions

Tools Needed:
- Pencil Hammer Level Screw Driver *Power Drill and drill bit.
A wall mounting bracket is provided with the heater which has been specifically designed to allow this product to be fitted to a wall or ceiling. Before drilling the holes on the wall/ceiling, make sure they are solid and that there are no hidden water pipes or electric wires. The heater must be installed no less than 13 form side walls and no less than 94.5″ off the floor.
Important: Ensure that the supply cables is well mounted and that it does not come into contact with reflector of the heater or that is does not trail into heated area. The supply cable can be fixed to the metal mounting bracket behind heater with plastic zip ties.
The heater must be installed at least 94.5″ above the floor.
Attention: cable should not passing through the heater.
Attention: Digital display position should be on left for correct installation direction.
Connect the power supply
Function & Operation
- When hardwiring, make sure the power supply is the same as rated.
- PRESS the power button on the left side of heater.
- TURN ON the heater by remote control, or pressing the button on the heater.
- DOWN & UP BUTTON, setting the power level.
OPERATION BY REMOTE CONTROLLER:
The heater is operated from the remote control supplied. Insert 2 x AAA
Alkaline batteries into the remote control.

- POWER BUTTON: Turns heater on or off.
- UP BUTTON: Increases the temperature and timer level.
- DOWN BUTTON: Decreases temperature and timer level.
- LEVEL BUTTON: Use to adjust heat levels (L 1-L2). Press the Level button then use the up and down buttons (2 and 3) to increase or decrease the heating level.
- TIMER BUTTON: Use to set the timer from 0H-24H(0-24 hours). Adjust using buttons 2 & 3 to the number of hours you would like to set.
The heater remote controls have the same frequency, so it is possible to control several heaters with just one remote.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular and careful cleaning helps your infrared heater operate efficiently
for many trouble free years. To clean your heater follow steps below.
Disconnect the power cord for your safety before cleaning your appliance.
- Make sure the heater is cool before continuing
- To keep the heater clean, the outer shell maybe cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. You may use a mild detergent if necessary. After cleaning, dry the unit with a soft cloth. (CAUTION: DO NOT let liquids enter the heater)
- DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, abrasive powders, furniture polish or rough brushes to clean the heater. This may cause damage or deterioration to the surface of the heater.
- DO NOT immerse the heater in water
- Wait until the heater is completely dry before use.
Storage: Store the heater in a cool, dry location when not in use to prevent dust and dirt build up. Use packaging carton to store.
Troubleshooting
If the heater does not work:
- Check whether the power cord is connected correctly. Incorrect power cord connection will lead to incorrect input voltage.
- Check if electricity to the main fuse is working.
- Check if the thermostat knob turned to the ON position.
- Check the thermostat setting. The heater may be off because it has reached the desired temperature setting.
Product Warranty
thermomate warrants this heater to the original retail purchaser only, to be
free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year
from the date of initial purchase. This product must be properly installed,
maintained and operated in accordance with the instructions provided.
thermomate requires reasonable proof of your date of purchase from an
authorized retailer or distributor. Therefore, you should keep your sales
slip, invoice or cancelled check from the original purchase.
This Limited Warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement of parts,
which proven defective under normal use and service within the warranty
period, and which thermomate shall determine at its reasonable discretion.
This warranty does not apply to products purchased for rental use.
This Limited Warranty does not cover any failures or operating difficulties
due to normal wear and tear, accident, abuse, misuse, alteration,
misapplication, improper installation or improper maintenance and service by
you or any third party. Failure to perform normal and routine maintenance on
the heater, shipping damage, damage related to insects, birds or animals of
any kind, and damage due to weather conditions are also not covered. In
addition, the Limited Warranty does not cover damage to the finish, such as
scratches, dents, discoloration, rust or other weather damage, after purchase.
All transportation costs for the return of damaged product or parts will be
the responsibility of the purchaser. Upon receipt of damaged item, thermomate
will examine the item and determine if defective. thermomate will repair or
replace and return the item, freight pre-paid.
If thermomate finds the item to be in normal operating condition, or not
defective the item will be returned freight collect. This Limited Warranty is
in lieu of all other express warranties. thermomate disclaims all warranties
for products that are purchased from sellers other than authorized dealers or
distributors.
After the period of the one (1) year express warranty expires, thermomate
disclaims any and all implied warranties, including without limitation the
implied Warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular
application. Further, thermomate shall have no liability whatsoever to
purchaser or any third party for any special, indirect, punitive incidental,
or consequential damages. thermomate assumes no responsibility for any defects
caused by third parties. This Limited Warranty gives the purchaser specific
legal rights; a purchaser may have other rights depending upon where he or she
lives. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of special,
incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on how long a warranty
lasts, so the above exclusion and limitations may not apply to you.
thermomate does not authorize any person or company to assume for it any other
obligation or liability in connection with the sale, installation, use,
removal, return or replacement of its equipment, and no such representations
are binding on thermomate.
