Before Using Your Dryer

Please read this booklet to ensure that your dryer is installed and used properly. It will help you get the best results and longest life from your dryer. Follow these guidelines:

  1. Your dryer must be installed by a qualified installer.
  2. Ensure that your dryer is installed in an area protected from the weather.
  3. Make sure your dryer is located in an area where the temperature is above 45°F (7°C).
  4. Connect your dryer to a proper electrical supply.
  5. Ensure proper ventilation by using exhaust systems.
  6. Remove the Consumer Buy Guide label before using your dryer.
  7. Clean the lint filter before each use.
  8. Keep colorfast items away from non-colorfast fabrics.
  9. Allow room for items to tumble freely for faster drying.
  10. Dry smaller-than-normal loads for the best wrinkle removal when drying permanent press items.
  11. Use a mesh bag to hold small items such as baby socks.

Suggested Loads

Follow these suggestions for different fabric types:

Using Your Dryer

  1. Put the sorted load in the dryer and close the door tightly.
  2. Turn the Cycle Control Knob to select a cycle and time.
    • Use the NORMAL Cycle for regular family loads such as towels, sheets, and clothes.
    • Use the PERMANENT PRESS Cycle for permanent press fabrics and synthetics.
    • Use the AIR Cycle to fluff or damp dry items that must not be heated.
  3. Push the Start Button to start the drying process.

  • Q: Where can I find the model and serial numbers of my dryer?
    • A: The model and serial numbers are located on a plate behind the dryer door. Please refer to the user manual for more information.
  • Q: How do I clean the lint filter?
    • A: Clean the lint filter before each use. Remove any lint by hand or with a damp cloth.
  • Q: Can I dry plastic or rubber items in the dryer?
    • A: No, drying plastic or rubber items with heat may damage the items or pose a fire hazard. Use the AIR Cycle to fluff or damp dry such items.

OPTIONAL INSTALLATION ACCESSORIES

The Window Exhaust Kit (Part No. LCK 3000) is a convenient way to exhaust your dryer through a window to the outside
An Exhaust Deflector Part No. LCK4000; moves dryer exhaust to a side up or down be used in mobile homes. Have an eye-level dryer with floor space under it for the washer.
The dryer can be mounted on a stand at eye level with the Stack Rack Kit (Part No. LCK 1100). A compact washer can be permanently installed and operated under the dryer
Another Stack Rack Kit (Part NO iCK 1000) is available for washers that vi. only be stored under the arver.

The diver can be mounted on a wail with the Dryer Wall Mount Kit (Part No LOK 2001) the wai must be strong enough to support the weight notte
