SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING APPLIANCE AND KEEP IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
  • Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
  • CAUTION — Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • The heater must not be located immediately below a socket-outlet
  • WARNINGS : In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
  • The device must be powered by a Residual Current Device (RCD) with a rated operating differential current of not more than 30 mA.
  • Warning: if this appliance is installed in a bathroom, it must be installed at least 60 cm from a bath or shower (volume 2), in accordance with the requirements of the French electrical installation standard NFC 15 -100.
  • The device must be connected to a circuit independent electric protected by a bipolar circuit breaker according to the standard electrical installation NF C 15-100.
  • WARNING: The heater must not be used if the glass panels are damaged.
  • Means for disconnection from the supply mains having a contact separation in all poles must be incorporated in the fixed wiring in accordance with the wiring rules.
  • With respect to the details of how to install the appliance onto the wall, refer to the “INSTALLATION” section.
  • Regarding the detailed information on the connection of the electric cable, refer to the section “ELECTRICAL CONNECTION”.

INSTALLATION

RECOMMENDATIONS IMPORTANT READ BEFORE INSTALLATION
  • Do not install the unit directly below a socket.
  • Do not use the appliance outdoors.
  • Do not install the unit in an air current that could disrupt its regulation.
  • Do not place the unit near a barrier limiting the airflow around it.
  • Attach the heater vertically to the wall as described below.
  • Choose screws and plugs suitable for the wall material and weight of the unit.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WALL MOUNTING

Do not make any changes to the unit or its mounting bracket on the wall! Before installing the device, check the condition of the wall on which it will be fixed: the wall must be in good condition, it must not show any damage (cracks, sagging, humidity, …). Do not drill holes near old holes, even when they are closed. It is imperative that you consult a building professional to use the anchoring system (screws, dowels, etc.) appropriate for the material that constitutes your wall, as well as the weight of the appliance. Observe the diameter of the fixing screws indicated in this manual. Do not modify the holes for securing the unit or its mounting bracket to the wall. Drill the wall with a drill of the appropriate size for the anchoring system. Remove debris and dust. Regularly check the mounting points of the device on the wall. Tighten them if necessary.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

CAUTION: Before working, turn off the electricity at the main circuit breaker.

  • The installation must be carried out in the rules of the art and meet the standards in force in the country (NF C 15-100 in France).
  • The unit must be connected to a standard wall box placed at least 25 cm from the floor.
  • The appliance must not be connected to an outlet with a power plug.
  • The appliance must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
  • The appliance must not be connected to the earth wire (yellow and green wire).
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

Blue or light gray wire connect to Neutral (230V) Brown or red wire connect to Phase (230V) Black wire connect to pilot wire. (Optional function to use in case of control by pilot wire box)
WARNING! (Do not connect the black wire to the ground).

  • In the absence of pilot wire, insulate the bare end of the black wire to prevent electrical contact with the other wires or ground.

INSTALLATION

To hang the heater on the wall:

Choose a suitable location for the radiator (respect the minimum distances)

Heateroceanic-05| Loosen the bracket fixing screw without unscrewing it completely.
Slide the metal latch out of the hole.
Remove the bracket by pulling down.

Heateroceanic-06| Position the wall bracket where you want it. Make sure the spirit level is horizontal.
Mark the location of the 4 wall fixing screws. Drill the wall to fix the appropriate anchoring system. Fix the bracket to the wall.
Place the heater against its wall mount bracket:
A: Position the radiator so that its lower holes align with the hooks on the mounting bracket.
B: Push the heater down until the hooks fit into the holes.
C: Position the radiator so that its upper holes align with the hooks on the mounting bracket.
D: Pull the unit down.

Tighten the screw to lock the radiator on the bracket.

  1. For the first time you use the device, please set the time after connection to the power supply:
    • To set the hour when is flashing: press /to adjust it among 00 00-23
    • To confirm the hour and move to set the minute: press OK
    • To set the minute when is flashing: press /to adjust it among 00 00-59
    • To confirm the minute and move to set the day of the week : press OK
    • To set the day of the week when is flashing: press /to adjust it among 1 1-7
    • To complete the time setting: press OK or wait 30 seconds without action, the appliance will return to Standby mode.
  2. If the device is in operation and you want to reset the time:
    • To enter the time setting: press MENU to enter setting menu interface, press /to choose the time setting , press OK when it is flashing.
    • To set the hour when is flashing: press /to adjust it among 00 00-23
    • To confirm the hour and move to set the minute: press OK
    • To set the minute when is flashing: press /to adju st it among 00 00-59
    • To confirm the minute and move to set the day of the week: press OK
    • To set the day of the week when is flashing: press /to adjust it among 1 1-7
    • To complete the time setting: press OK or wait 30 seconds without action, the appliance will return to Standby mode.
Mode selection ( button)
  • Press /to toggle among the modes:

  • Program modes and Pilot wire mode share the same icon And these 2 modes are mutually exclusive. When the device is working on Program mode, press and hold OK button for 3 seconds, it will shift from Program mode to Pilot wire mode mode. When the device is working on Pilot wire mode mode, press and hold OK button for 3 seconds, it will shift from Pilot wire mode to Program mode.
    The interface of program mode and Pilot wire mode are as below:

  • Under Pilot wire mode mode, choose the mode via the external control (for France only). For other countries except France, if you choose Pilot wire mode mode, the appliance will work at comfort mode as default.

  • Pre Pre-set P1 P1-P7, each P represents 24 hours:

  • Default setting for day 1 to 7 of the week:
    Day 1 to day 5: device operates with P1 (table above) each day
    Day 6 to day 7: device operates with P3 (table above) each day

Personalized setting
  1. You can apply any of the P1-P7 to any day of the week as per your habit:

    • To enter Program mode setting: press MENU and then press / until Program mode setting flashes, then press OK .
    • To choose from P1 to P7 for day 1 (Monday): press / to choose from P1 to P7
    • To confirm the chosen program for day 1 (Monday) and enter day 2 (Tuesday): press OK
    • To choose from P1 to P7 for day 2 (Tuesday): press / to choose from P1 to P7
    • To confirm the chosen program for day 2 (Tuesday) and enter day 3 (Wednesday): press OK
    • To finish the setting to day 7 (Sunday): repeat the operation.
    • After pressing the OK on day 7, it will go back to the working interface.

  2. The P1 P7 mentioned in above table are programmable, each of the P1 P7 represents 24 hours and for each hour, you can choose between comfort mode and economic mode as per your habit.

  3. To enter the programmable interface of the Program mode: press MENU and then press / until Program mode setting flashes, then press OK .

  4. Press / to choose the program from P1 to P7 which you want to program, regardless of which day, and then hold OK for three seconds to start the personalized setting.

  5. To choose mode for each hour: press to choose comfort mode , to choose ECO mode , or OK to keep previous setting. After each click, it will automatically go for next hour setting. Repeat the operation for each hour.

  6. To finish the setting and go back to the previous setting interface: press / , or OK at the last hour.
    Remark:
    After you finish program mode setting, it will be saved but will not automatically start working at program mode. You need to press OK to choose program mode to make the heater work at this mode.

Temperature setting

  • Temperature setting is available under Comfort mode / ECO mode / Pilot wire mode P. Temperature setting is not available u nder Anti freeze mode
  • To select the desired set temperature: press or , each click is 0.5°C.
  • Temperature range for Comfort mode and Pilot wire mode: 5°C 29°C.
  • Temperature range for ECO mode: 1.5°C 25.5°C, 3.5°C less than Comfort mode.
  • Temperature setting will be saved automatically after 5 seconds without action.
    Remark:
    When the room temperature is higher than the selected temperature, the heater will stop heating.
Window detector function

  • To enter the setting of window detector function: press MENU and then press / until window detector function icon flashes, then press OK .
  • Activate/Deactivate the function: press / to choose “ON” or “OFF”. Icon will show on the screen when the function is ON.
  • When the function is ON, if the temperature decrease is detected, the appliance will automatically enter anti freeze mode with icon flashing. If the temperature rises up, the appliance will go back to previous mode with icon on.
    Remark:
    the window detector function is not available under anti freeze mode.
Keyboard lock
  • To activate the keyboard lock function : press MENU for three seconds.

  • To unlock: press MENU for three seconds.

    Remark:

    1.   1. The standby button  

      is still available even keyboard is locked.

    2. The keyboard lock will automatically be deactivated under below circumstances:

    3. The appliance is put into standby mode by pressing standby button

    4. The appliance suffers power disconnection.

In case of power failure

The device always keeps in memory the temperature, operating mode and weekly personalized program. In case of power failure, after recovery, set the time again, then the device resumes back to the mode and temperature before the power failure.

WARRANTY TERMS

Your device is guaranteed by the manufacturer for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase (Use the dated invoice as proof).

EXCLUSIONS:
The warranty does not cover wear parts of the product, or problems or damage resulting from:

  1. surface damage due to normal product wear
  2. defects or deterioration due to contact of the product with food or liquids and due to corrosion caused by rust
  3. any incident, abuse, misuse, unauthorized modification, disassembly or repair
  4. improper maintenance, use not in accordance with product instructions, or connection to incorrect voltage
  5. any use of accessories not supplied or approved by the manufacturer.

Information: The warranty will be invalidated if the nameplate and/or the serial number of the product are missing.

REPAIR SERVICES
In the event of a malfunction during the period of the manufacturer’s warranty: any request for support must be made to the professional retailer from whom you purchased your product. It is therefore guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase. Keep your receipt which will serve as proof of purchase.
In the event of a malfunction, you must return your product to your point of sale.

IN CASE OF PROBLEMS

Problem Solution
The appliance does not heat Ensure that the circuit breakers are switched on

the installation, or the shedder did not cut the power supply (if the installation has one).
Select the COMFORT mode.
Increase the temperature setting.
The device heats permanently| Ensure that the device is not in a draft.
Reduce the temperature setting.

CARE AND CLEANING

  1. Before cleaning the appliance, switch off the appliance supply and wait until it is completely cooled.
  2. Use a damp cloth to clean the housing of the device.
  3. Clean grilles and air outlet regularly. Never immerse the appliance in water or allow water to enter the appliance.
