  5. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED THAT CHILDREN OPERATE THIS APPLIANCE. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.
  6. Do not leave the product unattended while it is in use.
  7. Always wait until the blades have stopped spinning before unplugging the product from the electrical outlet.
  8. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of your counter or table or touch hot surfaces.
  9. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
  10. Do not use this product to process hot liquids or ingredients.
  11. Do not use the product for other than its intended use.
  12. Always place the product on a flat, level, stable surface.
  13. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may damage the appliance and/or lead to personal injury.
  14. THE CUTTING BLADES ARE EXTREMELY SHARP, HANDLE THEM WITH CAUTION!
  15. KEEP THE CUTTING BLADES AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
  16. Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in the appliance as they may cause a fire or risk of an electrical shock.
  17. Avoid contact with moving parts (e.g. the cutting blades) while the product is in use. Keep all body parts and utensils out of jar while blending or while the power cord is plugged into the electrical outlet to reduce the risk of severe injury to person or damaged to the blender. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the blender is not running.
  18. Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off of the pad and touch electrical parts, which causes a risk of electrical shock.
  19. To disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet, pull directly from the plug; do not pull from the cord.
  20. Do not attempt to examine or repair this product yourself. Only authorized service personnel should perform servicing.
  21. Do not operate outdoors.
  22. Always operate blender with the lid firmly in place.
  23. Do not attempt to bypass the safety mechanism integrated into this appliance.
  24. Do not place any part of this appliance in a microwave, over a stove, or into a heated oven.
  25. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
  26. To disconnect, turn the control to OFF, then remove plug from wall outlet.
  27. Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the blender. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the blender is not running.
  28. The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended by the manufacturer may cause a risk of injury to persons.
  29. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of expe-rience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. SHORT CORD PURPOSE

Note: A short power cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord.

Longer power-supply cords or extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.

If an extension cord is used:

  1. the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the product;
  2. the extension cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can unintentionally be pulled on or tripped over by children or pets.

POLARIZED PLUG

If this appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other), please follow the below instructions:

  • To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If you are unable to fit the plug into the electrical outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use the plug with an extension cord unless
  • the plug can be fully inserted into the extension cord. Do not alter the plug of the product or any extension cord being used with this product. Do not attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Carefully unpack the personal blender and all parts. Remove all packaging materials, including any stickers or labels.
  2. Wash the cups, lids and blade in warm soapy water.  DO NOT IMMERSE THE BASE (MOTOR HOUSING) IN WATER.
  3. Care should be taken when cleaning the blades, as the blades are sharp.
  4. Position the personal blender base on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface and assemble according to instructions.
  5. It is recommended to operate this appliance on a separate outlet and circuit from other appliances to avoid overloading the circuit.

CAUTION: Handle the blade assembly with caution as the blades are extremely sharp. Also, use caution cleaning the Blade assembly.

PARTS IDENTIFICATION

NOTE:

  • Never use hot liquids or run the appliance when empty.
  • The cup assembly must be locked in order to operate. Locking the assembly activates a safety switch built into the base.
  • Do not operate the blender for more than 60 seconds at a time. Let it rest for at least 60 seconds between each operation.

HOW TO USE

ALWAYS unplug the personal blender before assembling, disassembling, cleaning or storing.

  1. Place the ingredients into blender cup. DO NOT OVERFILL.
  2. Place the blade assembly onto the blender cup and turn clockwise to lock into place.
  3. Turn the cup upside down so that the blade assembly is on the bottom. Attach the assembled cup by turning it clockwise to lock into place.
  4. Insert the plug into power socket, then press down the power switch to operate the blender. Hold for continuous operation or press and release to “Pulse”. Hold the base while blending to stabilize. The glass cup can be heavy and cause slight shaking depending on the ingredients.
  5. To stop precessing, simply let go of the power switch. Unplug power cord from outlet. Wait until the blades stop completely before removing the cup assembly by turning it counter-clockwise to unlock it from the base.
  6. Remove the blade assembly then place the spill-proof lid or drinking lid on the cup to serve.

CAUTION: To prevent severe personal injury, never insert hands or utensils into the blender while it is in operation.

CAUTION: The product is not intended for blending hot liquids. This product is not intended for blending frozen solid ingredients. It is recommended to chop ingredients into smaller portions before freezing, and then allowing the ingredients to thaw slightly before mixing. Large frozen solid ingredients may damage the glass cup. Crushed ice is recommended instead of solid ice cubes. For liquid ingredients, do not fill the cup pass the maximum capacity. Overfilling the cups could result in spillage, causing burns and/or property/product damage. A maximum of 3/4 of the capacity is recommended.

BLENDING TIPS

  1. When blending ice cubes, use up to five cubes at a time. Pulse to break up the ice into small pieces before continu-ing.
  2. Do not use the blender for mashing or grinding heavy foods (e.g., potatoes or meats) or to stir thick mixtures (e.g., dough). It cannot whip egg whites or substitute dairy toppings.
  3. Pour liquid ingredients into the blending cup first unless a particular recipe says otherwise.
  4. Cut all fruits or vegetables into smaller pieces that are approximately 3/4-inch to 1-inch.
  5. Do not overfill the blending cup.
  6. If the blades are not operating smoothly, stop the blender and add some liquid, or reduce the solid contents in the cup.
  7. Do not process hard foods such as crackers or meat.
  8. A maximum of 12 tablespoons (180ml) of coffee beans can be ground at a time.
  9. If blending action stops during blending or ingredients stick to sides of the jar, turn blender OFF, remove the lid from the jar, and use a rubber spatula to push mixture toward blades.
  10. Do not process hot foods or liquids in blender.
  11. Do not store food or liquids in the blender jar.
  12. Avoid bumping or dropping the blender.
  13. ALWAYS TURN THE BLENDER OFF, WAIT UNTIL THE BLADES HAVE STOPPED SPINNING, AND UNPLUG THE POWER CORD FROM THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET BEFORE DISLODGING ANY FOOD THAT MAY HAVE GOTTEN STUCK.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

WARNING: To avoid the risk of electrical shock, always ensure the product is unplugged from the electrical outlet before assembling, disassembling, relocating, servicing, or cleaning it.

WARNING: Handle the blade assembly with care as the blades are extremely sharp. Use caution when attaching, detaching, cleaning, or storing blade assembly.

  • Always clean the product immediately after each use.
  • Wash all parts except the Blender Base in warm, soapy water; rinse, and dry thoroughly.
  • Clean the Base by wiping it with a damp cloth. To avoid damage to the product, DO NOT immerse the Base into water or any other liquids.
  • To avoid damage to the product, do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the product parts.
  • Make sure product is thoroughly dry before storing in a cool, dry place.

Auto Clean Feature for jar and blade assembly:

  • Pour a little warm dishwashing liquid into the cup with 1/4 cup water and press the power switch in a pulsing action.
  • Remove the cup and rinse under running water.
  • Wipe the outer surface of the Base with a damp cloth, do not use abrasive cleansers. Never immerse Blender Base in water for cleaning.
  • Dry all parts and then replace them.

RECIPES – DRINKS

Banana Strawberry Shake

  • ½ lb. chopped semi-frozen strawberries
  • 1 frozen chopped banana
  • 1-2 cups fresh apple juice

Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth.

Black Cow

  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 10 oz root beer
  • 1 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • 1 ½ oz whipped cream
  • Maraschino cherries

Instructions: Pour root beer over ice cream and chocolate syrup in a large tumbler glass. Garnish with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. Serve with a straw and a long spoon.

Hawaiian Island Surfer

  • 4 oz orange sherbet
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz coconut cream

Instructions: Blend with half a glassful of crushed ice in a wine goblet. Garnish with fruit and serve.

Pink Panther Shake

  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 tbsp. raspberry jam
  • 3-4 scoops vanilla ice cream

Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth. Garnish with berries.

Kiwi & Papaya Tropical Shake

  • 3 kiwis
  • ½ seeded and sliced papaya
  • 1 cup mango yogurt
  • ½ cup orange juice

Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth.

Avocado Shake

  • 1 liter milk
  • 2-3 halved and peeled avocados
  • ½ cup sugar

Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth.

Magic Island

  • 3 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz grapefruit juice
  • 1 oz coconut cream
  • ½ oz whipping cream
  • 1 tsp grenadine syrup

Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth.

Orange Julius

  • 6 oz frozen orange juice
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup crushed ice
  • 4 tbsp. sugar
  • ½ tbsp. vanilla extract

Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth.

RECIPES – DRESSINGS

Citrus Poppy Seed Dressing (Two identical recipes)

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp half & half
  • 1 tsp poppy seed
  • 1 tsp grated lime or orange peel

Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth. Cover and refrigerate before serving.

Apple Vinaigrette

  • ½ cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • ¼ cup cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup apple juice
  • 3 whole fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp dry mustard
  • ⅛ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.

Creamy Asian Salad Dressing

  • 3 cups mayonnaise
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 1 ½ tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp sesame seed oil

Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth. Cover and refrigerate before serving.

Honey Dijon Mustard Vinaigrette

  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ¼ tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil

Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth. Cover and refrigerate before serving.

Green Chili & Cilantro Dressing

  • 1 (4-ounce) can diced green chiles
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro
  • ½ tsp honey
  • 4 drops hot pepper sauce
  • ⅛ tsp coarsely ground black pepper

Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth. Cover and refrigerate before serving.

RECIPES – SAUCES

Pesto Sauce

  • 4 ½ cups packed basil leaves, stems removed
  • 1 cup packed fresh parsley leaves
  • 3 tbsp pine nuts, toasted
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 3 tbsp freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  • 3 tbsp freshly grated pecorino Romano cheese

Instructions: Blend all ingredients except cheese until smooth. Then fold in cheese.

Herbed Mustard Sauce

  • ¼ cup evaporated milk (chilled in freezer for 10 min.)
  • ¼ cup tarragon vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp grainy Dijon mustard
  • ½ cup vegetable or olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh tarragon
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth.

Mango Salsa

  • 1 ripe mango, diced
  • ¼ cup diced red onion
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice or white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander or parsley
  • Salt & pepper
  • Pinch hot pepper flakes

Instructions: Chop all ingredients in a blender until coarsely chopped.

Carolina’s Honey BBQ Sauce

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • ½ cup molasses
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp Tabasco pepper sauce

Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth. Then transfer to a saucepan and heat until sauce thickens. Do not transfer back to blender.

  1. Your small kitchen appliance is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from any manufacturing defects under normal use and conditions for one (1) year, cord excluded. This Warranty applies only to the original purchaser of this product.
  2. Retail stores/merchants selling this product do not have the right to alter, modify, or in any way revise the terms and conditions of the warranty.
  3. If you use your appliance for household use and according to instructions, it should give you years of satisfactory service.
  4. At its sole discretion, Maxi-Matic USA will either repair or replace the product found to be defective during the warranty period.
  5. The repaired or replacement product will be in warranty for the remaining balance of the one-year warranty period and an additional one-month period.
  6. Consumer’s remorse is not an acceptable reason to return a product to our Service Center.
  7. This limited warranty covers appliances purchased and used within the 50 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia and does NOT cover normal wear of parts or:
    • Damages caused by unreasonable use, neglect, normal wear and tear, commercial use, improper assembly or installation of product.
    • Damages caused in shipping.
    • Damages caused by replacement or resetting of house fuses or circuit breakers.
    • Defects other than manufacturing defects.
    • Breakage caused by misuse, abuse, accident, alteration, lack of proper care and maintenance, or incorrect current or voltage.
    • Lost or missing parts of the product. Parts will need to be purchased separately.
    • Damages of parts that are not electrical; i.e. cracked or broken plastic/glass, scratched/dented inner pots.
    • Damage from service or repair by unauthorized personnel.
    • Extended warranties purchased via a separate company or reseller.
    • Acts of nature such as fire, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.
  8. This warranty does not apply to re-manufactured merchandise.

Maxi-Matic, USA shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express or implied warranty. Apart from the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in time to the duration of the warranty.

RETURN INSTRUCTIONS

RETURNS:

  • Any return of defective merchandise to the manufacturer must be processed accordingly by first contacting customer service to obtain an RA # (Return Authorization Number). We will not accept any returns of merchandise without an applicable RA #.
  • IMPORTANT RETURN INSTRUCTIONS. Your Warranty depends on your following these instructions if you are returning the unit to Maxi-Matic, USA:
  1. Carefully pack the item in its original carton or other suitable box with sufficient cushioning to avoid damage in shipping.
  2. Before packing your unit for return, be sure to enclose:
    • Your name, full address with zip code, daytime tele phone number, and RA#,
    • A dated sales receipt or PROOF OF PURCHASE,
    • The model number of the unit and the problem you are having (Enclose in an envelope and tape directly to the unit before the box is sealed,) and
    • Any parts or accessories related to the problem.
  3. Maxi-Matic, USA recommends that you ship the package via UPS ground service for tracking purposes. We cannot assume responsibility for lost or damaged products returned to us during incoming shipment. For your protection, always carefully package the product for shipment and insure it with the carrier. C. O.D shipments cannot be accepted.
  4. All return shipping charges must be prepaid by you.
  5. Once your return has been received by our warehouse, Maxi-Matic, USA will repair or replace the product if it is defective in material or workmanship, subject to the conditions in paragraph B.
  6. Maxi-Matic will pay the shipping charges to ship the repaired or replacement product back to you.
