HOW TO CARE AND CLEAN TIPS

Keeping your foam-cutting tool clean is mandatory if you want to reach a good result and make the process of cutting easier. Here are the most effective ways to clean the tips:

  • Clean the blade by just gently wiping it against a cloth or paper towel while the foam is in a melted state.
  • You can clean the blades with acetone, but do it when the blades are cold.
  • Steel wool – an easy way to clean the knife of your kit without any difficulties.
  • Sandpaper – it can be used to remove the remains of melted foam from the blades. This method is pretty easy and can be done frequently. We recommend using 320 grit paper to avoid damaging the tips.
  • Knife Method – another simple method to clean the tips and remove carbon buildup is using a knife.
  • Jeweler’s Rouge – this is not as quick and easy as the other methods, but it’s safer and effective.
  • Polishing Burr – it is one of the best ways to reach a deep clean result. But in this case, you need to be extremely careful in order not to overpolish the knife as this may cause thinning over time.
