Product Usage Instructions
Mounting the Ball Head
- Screw the ball head clockwise onto the tripod and tighten it by hand. Do not overtighten.
- Raise the center column, and tighten the setscrew with the included 3mm hex key to prevent the ball head from slipping while panning.
Mounting the Quick-Release Plate to the Camera
- Loosen the quick-release knob and remove the quick-release plate from the ball head.
- Use the supplied hex key or the D-ring to tighten the screw into the camera.
- Place the camera and quick-release plate onto the ball head, and tighten the quick-release knob.
Ball Head Controls
- Ball Head Lock: Turn the ball headlock clockwise to loosen the ball head. Position the camera, and tighten the ball head lock. Use the bubble level to align your camera with the horizon. Note: The ball head lock is a ratchet-style handle. When a camera or the quick-release plate is blocking the handle’s motion, pull the handle out until it disengages, and reposition it. Release it, and it will reengage.
- Pan Knob: Loosen the pan knob to rotate the ball head. Use the degree markings on the ball head’s base to accurately set up panoramic photographs. Tighten the pan knob to lock the ball head in position.
Tripod Operation
Leg Length Adjustment
- Twist the tripod’s foot counterclockwise to unlock the first section, and pull it out. Continue to twist the foot counterclockwise to unlock the next sections.
- Once the leg is at the desired length, twist the foot clockwise to lock the sections into place.
Leg Angle Adjustment
- Press and hold the leg angle lock.
- Set the leg to one of the three preset angles.
- Release the lock to secure the leg at the desired angle.
Center-Column Adjustment
To fine-tune the camera’s position, adjust the center column height once the leg lengths have been set.
- Loosen the center column lock to unlock the center column.
- Adjust the center column to the desired height, and tighten the locking collar.
Low-Angle Setup
Reverse the center column to mount the camera upside down and close to the ground.
- Unscrew the weight hook from the bottom of the center column.
- Loosen the center column lock, and remove the center column from the tripod.
- Slide the center column into the tripod from underneath so the ball head is facing down toward the ground.
- Tighten the locking collar, and screw the weight hook into the center column.
- Adjust the leg angle and height to make sure there’s enough space to mount the camera.
- Mount the camera to the quick-release plate and attach the quick-release plate to the ball head.
Using the Short Center Column
- Remove the ball head from the tripod.

Constructed with lightweight 8X carbon fiber, the tripod has a weight capacity of 13 pounds. This 5-section tripod features internal twist locks for fast opening and closing. Each leg can be positioned independently at three locking angles to ensure stable support when shooting on uneven terrain. A separate short center column allows camera positioning close to the ground. The 2-way ball head features inde-pendent adjustment of the ball and panoramic base, along with a 90° notch for instantly switching from portrait to landscape orientation. An Arca-type quick-release plate allows for mounting and dismounting the camera quickly and effortlessly.

OPERATION
Ball Head Operation
MOUNTING THE BALL HEAD
- Screw the ball head clockwise onto the tripod and tighten it by hand. Do not overtighten.
- Raise the center column, and tighten the setscrew with the included 3mm hex key to prevent the ball head from slipping while panning.
MOUNTING THE QUICK-RELEASE PLATE TO THE CAMERA
The quick-release plate has a 1/4-20 screw that fits most cameras.
- Loosen the quick-release knob and remove the quick-release plate from the ball head.
- Use the supplied hex key or the D- ring to tighten the screw into the camera.
- Place the camera and quick-release plate onto the ball head, and tighten the quick-release knob
Ball Head Controls
BALL HEADLOCK
- Turn the ball headlock clockwise to loosen the ball head. Position the camera, and tighten the ball head lock.
- Use the bubble level to align your camera with the horizon.
- Use the 90° notch to instantly tilt your camera 90° to portrait orientation.

USING THE SHORT CENTER COLUMN
Capture low-angle shots with the short center column. Use it when setting the leg angle to 82°.
- Remove the ball head from the tripod.
- Unscrew the weight hook from the bottom of the center column.
- Loosen the center column lock, and remove the center column from the tripod.
- Insert the low-angle center column into the hole, and tighten the center column lock.
- Screw the ball head onto the baseplate, and attach the camera.
WEIGHT HOOK
Use the spring-loaded hook at the bottom of the center column to hang a counterweight, such as a sandbag (not included), to stabilize the tripod in windy conditions or when using a telephoto lens.
