FMVSS 110 Compliance Information
All dealers must determine if the Net weight they have added in the form of
all options or accessories, when added to the weight of all Port/Dealer
Installed options or accessories, exceeds the lesser of 1.5% of GVWR or 100
lbs. If the additional weight does exceed the lesser of the indicated
thresholds, a
“Load Carrying Capacity Reduced” label must be installed. A black, fine-point,
indelible marker must be used to write by hand onto the label, the reduced
carrying capacity in kilograms or pounds, which is the total weight of all
added options and accessories.

Notes to the installer:
1. Read the entire Installation Instructions prior to beginning the
installation of this accessory.
2. If applicable, scan the barcode label located on the accessory part or
packaging prior to installing, to register the part. If this accessory is
installed as a replacement, register the removal of the old part before
registering the new part. Old and new parts will have different barcode data,
and the old registration cannot be reused.
3. Make sure the vehicle is completely clean and dry in the area(s) the part
is to be installed.
4. Ensure the vehicle is properly protected in the area(s) that the accessory
is to be installed.
5. NEVER place tools on painted surfaces, seating surfaces, dash pad, console
or floor carpet/mats.
6. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves,
safety glasses, etc., when required.
7. Roll down the driver’s window and adjust the power seats (if applicable)
prior to disconnecting battery power, if needed.

Wire Colors
When a two-color wire is listed, the first color indicates the base color of the wire, the second color indicates the color of the stripe. For example: Black/White.
Installations Steps
Steps-1
Note:
A. Engage the Parking Brake.
NOTE: The parking brake switch is located on the shifter lever trim panel
on vehicle’s equipped with electronic parking brake.
B. Record any pre-set radio stations (if applicable).
Caution: Make sure the parking brake is fully engaged.
Steps-2: Ratchet and 10mm Socket
Non-Hybrid Models
Note:
A. Open hood.
Non-Hybrid Models Only
B. Remove negative (-) battery terminal cover, if applicable and disconnect & isolate vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
Hybrid Models Only
B. Disconnect and isolate the 12V Circuit Connector located on the driver’s side near the firewall between the engine and the brake fluid reservoir as shown.
WARNING! Shock Hazard. Do not touch vehicle’s negative battery terminal to vehicle’s positive battery terminal. Serious injury and damage to the vehicle may occur.
Steps-3: 2 Phillips Screwdriver or Trim Removal Tool
Passenger’s Side Center Console Side Panel
Note:
A. Remove one (1) plastic retainer from the passenger side center console side
panel and discard.
NOTE: Depending on the vehicle trim, the center portion of the plastic
retainer may or may not have a phillips screw.
Caution: Do not damage the center console side panel.
Steps-4: #2 Phillips Screwdriver or Trim Removal Tool
Driver’s Side Center Console Side Panel
Note:
A. Remove one (1) plastic retainer from the driver side center console side
panel and discard.
NOTE: Depending on the vehicle trim, the center portion of the plastic
retainer may or may not have a phillips screw.
Caution: Do not damage the center console side panel.
Steps-5: Trim Removal Tool
Note:
A. Carefully insert a trim removal tool between the shift lever boot and shift
pattern panel to disengage the boot clips from the shift pattern panel.
IMPORTANT: It is critical that the shift lever boot has disengaged from the
shift pattern panel before moving forward with this step. Use care not to
scratch or damage the shift lever boot or shift pattern panel.
B. Once the shift lever boot has disengaged from the shift pattern panel, pull
up on the shift lever knob to disengage the knob and boot from the shifter
lever shaft.
C. Place the shift lever knob and boot in a safe location for reinstallation.
D. Reach through the shift pattern panel opening, press and hold down the
shift lock release button and move the shift lever from Park (P) position to
Neutral (N) position.
Caution: Do not damage any vehicle components.
Steps-6: Trim Removal Tool and #2 Phillips Screwdriver
Note:
A. Lift open center console armrest.
B. Starting from the rear portion (near armrest), carefully dislodge the side
panel trim shown above.
C. Remove the one (1) screw as shown.
D. Place the side panel trim and screw in a safe location for reinstallation.
Caution: Do not damage the side trim panel.
Steps-7: Trim Removal Tool
Note:
A. Carefully dislodge the shift lever trim panel.
NOTE: Start dislodging form the rear center console armrest area.
B. Disconnect the two (2) connectors from the shift lever trim panel.
C. Remove the shift lever trim panel and store in a safe location for
reinstallation.
Caution: Do not damage the shift lever trim panel, connectors or center console.
Steps-8: #2 Phillips Screwdriver
Note:
A. Remove the four (4) screws as shown from the center console.
B. Store the screws in a safe location for reinstallation.
Caution: Do not damage the center console.
Steps-9: Ratchet, Extension, 10mm Socket and Trim Removal Tool
Note:
A. Lift open the center console armrest and remove the felt pad.
B. Remove the two (2) bolts shown above.
C. Store the removed bolts and felt pad in a safe location for reinstallation.
Caution: Do not damage any vehicle components.
Steps-10
Note:
A. Carefully disengage the one (1) pressure clip on the driver’s side center console side panel as shown.
Caution: Do not damage any vehicle components.
Steps-11: Large Drop Cloth
Note:
A. Carefully separate the driver’s and passenger’s side center console side
panels from the rear portion of the center console by lifting the rear portion
of the center console and sliding it rearward.
B. Carefully disengage and remove the driver’s and passenger’s side center
console side panels from vehicle, move to a clean workbench and place them on
a large drop cloth to protect them from any scratches.
Caution: Do not damage any vehicle components.
Steps-12: Center Punch and Large Drop Cloth
Note:
A. Ensure both center console side panels are placed on a drop cloth to
protect them from any scratches.
B. Remove the adhesive backing strips from the three (3) provided templates
and place them on the driver’s and passenger’s side center console side panels
as shown above.
NOTE: Place the templates flat on the panels. Do not fold over the
templates in places where the panel ends curve.
C. Using a Center Punch, mark the center of the three (3) crosshairs as shown.
D. Remove the templates and discard.
Caution: Do not damage any vehicle components.
Steps-13: Electric Drill, Drill Bit 3mm (1/8″), Hole Saw 23mm (29/32″)
and Deburring Tool
Note:
A. Check the inner of the driver’s side center console side panel at the
Switch mark area for insulation pad and pull back insulation pad as needed for
the following Switch hole drilling procedure.
B. Drill a pilot hole at the Switch hole center punch mark using a 3mm (1/8″)
Drill Bit.
C. Enlarge the pilot hole using a 23mm (29/32″) Hole Saw.
D. Carefully Deburr the drilled hole. Do NOT enlarge the hole.
WARNING! Take precautions when using the drill to help avoid injury or damage to the panels.
Steps-14: Electric Drill, Drill Bit 3mm (1/8″), Hole Saw 23mm (29/32″),
Hole Saw 26mm (1-1/32″) and Deburring Tool
Note:
A. Check the inner of the driver’s side center console side panel at the Foot
Lamp mark area for insulation pad and pull back insulation pad as needed for
the following Foot Lamp hole drilling procedure.
B. Drill a pilot hole at the Foot Lamp hole center punch mark using a 3mm
(1/8″) Drill Bit.
C. Enlarge the pilot hole using a 26mm (1 1/32″) Hole Saw.
D. Carefully Deburr the drilled hole. Do NOT enlarge the hole.
E. Repeat this step on the passenger’s side center console side panel.
WARNING! Take precautions when using the drill to help avoid injury or damage to the panels.
Steps-15: Pliers
Note:
A. Using Pliers, remove the ribs located near the drilled holes on both side panels to allow the Foot Lamps and Switch threaded Locknuts to sit flush without interference.
Steps-16: Locknuts
Note:
A. Install the Foot Lamps into both center console side panel holes with
connector facing rearwards towards the rear of the vehicle.
B. Install threaded Locknuts onto the backs of both Foot Lamps to secure them
in place. Do NOT over-tighten the Locknuts.
C. Install the Switch in the driver’s side center console side panel with the
connector facing down.
D. Install threaded Locknut on the back of the Switch to secure it in place.
Do NOT over-tighten the Locknut.
Steps-17: Foam Pads
Note:
A. Using up to four (4) Foam Pads, secure any loose areas of the insulation pad on the driver’s and passenger’s side center console side panels, as needed.
Steps-18: Wire Cutters
Note:
A. Connect the provided Wiring Assembly into the ECU Module and make sure it
is locked in place.
B. Remove the adhesive backing liner from the ECU Module.
C. Adhere the ECU Module to the underside of the shifter housing with Wiring
Assembly facing forward as shown.
IMPORTANT: Ensure the ECU Module and Wiring Assembly does not interfere
with the shifter cable.
D. Secure the ECU Module with one (1) Cable Tie as shown.
E. Trim excess cable tie material.
F. Route the two (2) Foot Lamp harnesses forward towards the driver’s and
passenger’s foot wells.
Caution: Ensure the ECU Module and Wiring Assembly does not interfere with the shifter cable.
Steps-19: Front Lamp
Note:
A. Carefully reinstall the driver’s and passenger’s side center console side
panels back to the rear portion of the center console.
B. Carefully place the center console back into the vehicle and connect the
corresponding interior light kit harness connectors into the interior light
kit switch and foot lamps. Make sure all three (3) connectors are locked in
place.
Ensure the Switch and both Foot Lamp connectors are locked in place.
Steps-20: Driver’s Side
Note:
A. Carefully reengage the one (1) pressure clip on the driver’s and
passenger’s side center console side panels.
B. Pay attention to the C-Clip plastic retainers in the middle of the center
console and ensure they are secured onto the corresponding protruding vehicle
studs as shown.
Caution: Do not damage any vehicle components.
Steps-21: Wire Cutters
Note:
IMPORTANT: For trims equipped WITHOUT Wireless Phone Charger, skip to step 22. For trims equipped WITH Wireless Phone Charger, follow notes below and illustrations above.
A. Connect the male end of the Interior Light Kit T-Harness connector to the
36-Pin vehicle connector and wrap the connectors using one (1) Foam Pad.
B. Wrap one (1) Foam Pad around the two (2) male spade terminals as shown.
C. Route and bundle excess harnesses including the wrapped male spade
terminals towards the front, driver’s side and using one (1) cable tie, secure
the harnesses to the large vertical factory wire harness as shown.
D. Trim excess cable tie material.
Ensure connectors are locked in place.
Steps-22: Pliers and Wire Cutters
Note:
IMPORTANT: For trims equipped WITHOUT Wireless Phone Charger, follow notes below and illustrations above. For trims equipped WITH Wireless Phone Charger, skip to step 23.
A. Identify the 16-Pin shift lever trim panel connector.
NOTE: The connector image above is the wire side view, NOT pin side view.
Numbered in order from upper left to lower right.
B. Using a T-Tap, connect the RED wire of the Interior Light Kit Power Harness
to the PINK or RED wire in Pin # 1 of the 16-Pin shift lever trim panel
connector.
– Reference page 3, “T-Tap Installation Procedure,” for detailed instructions.
C. Using a T-Tap, connect the BLACK wire of the Interior Light Kit Power
Harness to the BLACK wire in Pin # 8 of the 16-Pin shift lever trim panel
connector.
– Reference page 3, “T-Tap Installation Procedure,” for detailed instructions.
D. Wrap one (1) Foam Pad around the power harness and the 16-Pin shift lever
trim panel harness as shown.
E. Wrap two (2) Foam Pads around the two (2) Interior Light Kit T-Harness
36-Pin connectors as shown.
F. Route and bundle excess harnesses including the wrapped T-Harness towards
the front, driver’s side and using one (1) cable tie, secure the harnesses to
the large vertical factory wire harness as shown.
G. Trim excess cable tie material.
Ensure male spade connector is fully inserted into wire T-Tap. Check to see that the spade connector did not miss the slot. Check to see that it is not visible on either side of female connector.
Steps-23: Ratchet, Extension, 10mm Socket and #2 Phillips Screwdriver
Note:
A. Reinstall the two (2) bolts and the Felt Pad under the Console Armrest.
B. Reinstall the six (4) screws securing the Center Console as shown.
Caution: Do not damage any vehicle components
Steps-24: Shift Lever Trim Panel
Note:
A. Connect the harness connectors on the shift lever trim panel
B. For trims equipped WITH Wireless Phone Charger: Wrap one (1) Foam Pad
around the 36-Pin connectors.
C. Reinstall the shift lever trim panel.
Caution: Do not damage any vehicle components.
Steps-25: #2 Phillips Screwdriver
Note:
A. Reinstall the one (1) screw as shown.
B. Carefully reinstall the side trim panel.
Caution: Do not damage any vehicle components.
Steps-26: Plastic Retainers
Note:
A. Install the provided plastic retainers on the driver’s and passenger’s side center console side panels.
Caution: Do not damage any vehicle components.
Steps-27:
Note:
A. Reinstall the shift knob and boot.
B. Move the Shift Lever to Park (P) position.
Caution: Do not damage any vehicle components.
Steps-28: Ratchet, 10mm Socket and Torque Wrench
Note:
Non-Hybrid Models Only
A. Reconnect the negative (-) battery cable, and torque to:
5.0 ~ 6.0 N.m (0.50 ~ 0.60 kgf.m, 45 ~ 52 lb-in).
B. Reinstall the negative (-) battery terminal cover, if applicable.
C. Close hood.
D. Perform Function Check.
E. Place the provided Quick Reference Guide into vehicle’s glove box. Hybrid
Models Only
A. Reconnect the 12V Circuit Connector.
B. Close hood.
C. Perform Function Check.
D. Place the provided Quick Reference Guide into vehicle’s glove box.
WARNING! Shock Hazard. Do not touch vehicle’s negative battery terminal to vehicle’s positive battery terminal. Serious injury and damage to the vehicle may occur.

→ Check the connection of the T-Harness or T-Taps.
→ Check the 10A Fuse in the vehicle’s illumination circuit. Replace the fuse
if blown.
