Safe and Correct

Safe and correct use of lithium-ion secondary batteries

  1. Do not leave batteries near infants. Please keep the equipment and batteries out of reach of children. Careless handling can be dangerous.
  2. Do not leave batteries near pets. Do not leave batteries near animals or pets. Chewing may damage the battery, causing it to overheat, explode, or catch fire.
  3. If the battery leaks, keep it away from fire. If the lithium-ion secondary battery leaks or emits a strange odour, immediately move it away from fire. Leaking electrolytes may ignite, causing an explosion or fire.
  4. Do not short-circuit the battery. Do not carry or store batteries together with metal items such as necklaces, pins, coins, keys, etc. Metals conduct electricity, so if a metal object such as a key comes into contact with the positive and negative terminals of a battery, a short circuit will occur, causing a large current to flow, causing heat generation, rupture, or fire, or causing these metals to generate heat.
  5. Do not puncture the battery with nails or step on it. Do not puncture the lithium-ion secondary battery with nails, hit it with a hammer, or step on it. Doing so may deform the lithium-ion secondary battery and damage its protective mechanism, causing overheating, rupture, or fire.
  6. Do not throw batteries into the fire. If batteries are thrown into a fire, they may explode or catch fire, which is extremely dangerous. Also, heating batteries are dangerous as they may leak, explode, or catch fire.
  7. Do not put batteries in microwave ovens etc. Do not put batteries in the microwave or on top of an induction cooktop. It may heat up incorrectly, causing overheating, explosion, or fire.
  8. Do not subject the battery or battery pack to strong impact. Do not subject the battery to strong impact, such as dropping it from a height, or throwing it. This may deform the lithium-ion secondary battery or destroy the protection mechanism built into the lithium-ion secondary battery, causing heat generation, explosion, or fire.
  9. Do not leave batteries in high-temperature places. Do not leave the product in high-temperature locations such as near a stop or inside a car under the scorching sun. This may cause fluid leakage, heat generation, explosion, or fire.
  10. If you notice any abnormality with the battery, stop using it. If you notice a strange odour, heat generation, discolouration, deformation, or any other abnormality in the battery, please stop using it immediately.
