What is Covered?

For 12 months from the date of purchase, Cosmo Appliances will cover the following:

  1. Factory Specified Replacement Parts to correct defects in functional parts or workmanship that existed at the time of purchase.
  2. Product replacement is at the sole discretion of Cosmo Appliances.

What is Not Covered?

The following are not covered under warranty:

  • Damage to appliance finishes unless caused by defects in materials and workmanship, reported within 30 days.
  • Discoloration, rust, or oxidation of surfaces due to caustic or corrosive environments.
  • Food or medicine loss due to product failure.
  • Pick up or delivery expenses for repairs under warranty.
  • Damage during transportation (insurance is recommended).
  • Service in remote areas.
  • Transportation and shipping costs outside of the continental USA.
  • Discontinued versions of the unit (no guarantee of replacement with a newer version).

This limited warranty is valid only in the United States or Canada and applies to the original consumer who purchased the appliance for use in the country of purchase.

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

WHAT IS COVERED?

  • For 12 months from the date of purchase, when this major appliance is installed, operated, and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, Cosmo Appliances will pay for Factory Specified Replacement Parts to correct defects in functional parts or workmanship that existed when this appliance was purchased, or at its sole discretion replace the product.
  • In the event of product replacement, your appliance will be warranted for the remaining term of the original unit’s warranty period.
  • All repairs under warranty are to be carried out at an authorized Cosmo facility.
  • Pick-up and shipping expenses are to be paid by the consumer.
  • Functional parts are those components/parts that are critical to the performance of the product’s essential function.
  • Non-functional parts are those that are cosmetic features of the product such as knobs, grates, other metal bodies/surfaces, etc.
  • In the event of product replacement, your appliance will be warranted for the remaining term of the original unit’s warranty period.

WHO IS COVERED?

  • This limited warranty is valid only in the United States or Canada and applies only when the appliance is used in the country in which it was purchased. This limited warranty is effective from the date of the original consumer purchase.
  • Proof of the original purchase date is required to obtain service under this limited warranty.
  • This Warranty runs solely to the party that originally purchases a Cosmo product from Cosmo or an authorized Cosmo distributor or reseller, and, unless and except to the extent.
  • Cosmo may expressly agree otherwise in writing, that no person or entity other than the original purchaser from Cosmo or an authorized Cosmo distributor or reseller shall have or may be assigned any right or remedy under this Warranty.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED?

  1. Commercial, non-residential, multiple-family use, or use inconsistent with published user, operator, or installation instructions.
  2. In-home instruction on how to use your product.
  3. Service to correct improper product maintenance or installation, installation not by electrical or plumbing codes, or correction of household electrical or plumbing (i.e. house wiring, fuses, or water inlet hoses).
  4. Defects or damage caused by the use of non-genuine Cosmo Appliances parts or accessories.
  5. Damage from accident, misuse, abuse, fire, floods, shipping, acts of God, or use with products not approved by Cosmo Appliances. Repairs to parts or systems to correct product damage or defects caused by unauthorized service, alteration, or modification of the appliance.
  6. Cosmetic damage including scratches, dents, chips, and other damage to the appliance finishes unless such damage results from defects in materials and workmanship and is reported to Cosmo Appliances within 30 days.
  7. Discoloration, rust or oxidation of surfaces resulting from caustic or corrosive environments including but not limited to high salt concentrations, high moisture or humidity, or exposure to chemicals.
  8. Food or medicine loss due to product failure.
  9. Pick up or delivery. All repairs under warranty are to be carried out at an authorized Cosmo facility. Pick-up and shipping expenses. These expenses are to be paid by the consumer. Cosmo is not responsible for any damage that happens during transportation, and it is recommended that insurance is purchased for shipments to and from repair facilities.
  10. Service in remote areas is not guaranteed under this warranty.
  11. Transportation and Shipping costs to anywhere outside of the continental USA (49 states including Alaska, but excluding Hawaii). These costs shall be borne by the customer.
  12. Discontinued versions. In the event repair is unsuccessful on a discontinued version of a unit, this warranty does not guarantee the replacement of that unit to a newer version. Settlement would be offered at the current fair market value of the unit at the time of the last unsuccessful repair date.
  13. Shipping damage is not covered by this warranty.
    THE COST OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT UNDER THESE EXCLUDED CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL BE BORNE BY THE CUSTOMER. IF A WARRANTY CLAIM IS MADE AND ANY COSTS ARE INCURRED BY COSMO TO CORRECT INSTALLATION OR USER ERRORS, THOSE TECHNICIAN VISIT COSTS MUST BE PAID BY THE CONSUMER BEFORE ANY FUTURE CLAIMS WILL BE WARRANTED.

DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES

  • IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO ONE YEAR OR THE SHORTEST PERIOD ALLOWED BY LAW.
  • Some states and provinces do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties of merchantability or fitness, so this limitation may not apply to you.
  • This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you also may have other rights that vary from state to state or province to province.

DISCLAIMER OF REPRESENTATIONS OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY

  • Cosmo Appliances makes no representations about the quality, durability, or need for service or repair of this major appliance other than the representations contained in this warranty.
  • If you want a longer or more comprehensive warranty than the limited warranty that comes with this major appliance, you should ask Cosmo Appliances or your retailer about buying an extended warranty.
  • LIMITATION OF REMEDIES; EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE PRODUCT REPAIR AS PROVIDED HEREIN.
  • COSMO APPLIANCES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
  • Some states and provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.
  • This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you also may have other rights that vary from state to state or province to province.

NON-RESIDENTIAL USE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY

  • Normal residential settings exclude but are not limited to: schools, churches, hotels, restaurants, vacation rentals such as Airbnb, daycare centers, private clubs, fire stations, common areas in multi-family dwellings, nursing homes, food service locations, and institutional food services locations such as hospitals or correctional facilities.
