SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT
Do not propel yourself or have anyone push you whilst you are seated on the
Ellipse 2-way when using it as a Rollator. In this mode it is a walking aid
only and is not to be used as a transportation device or to be used to assist
the user to rise from a sitting position.
IMPORTANT
Do not attempt to stand while you are seated on the Ellipse 2-way when
using it as a wheelchair as it could cause the wheelchair to tip forward. When
dismounting while in wheelchair mode, first fold the footrest to reduce the
risk of trip hazard and ensure both feet are firmly placed on the ground.
- Use only on even and solid surfaces.
- Maximum user weight: 130 Kg.
- Regularly check the screws and fasteners on the Ellipse 2-way Lite Rollator and retighten if necessary.
- Use bag only for transport of objects and do not overload. Maximum load: 5 Kg
- Do not expose the product to temperatures above 40 °C for an extended period of time, as this can cause the Ellipse 2-way Lite Rollator parts to overheat and burn the user.
- Make sure the Ellipse 2-way Lite Rollator is fully opened, seat is down and the folding bar under seat is locked in the down position when used as either a rollator or wheelchair.
- Ensure the handgrips are adjusted to a comfortable height before use.
- Ensure that both knobs used to adjust the backstrap height are fully tightened and are at equal heights. Test the rollator for stability before applying full weight to the hand grips.
- Test the brake lever before operating the rollator. When wheels are locked, the lock bar on the rear wheels should prevent wheels from turning. When locks are released, the wheels should turn freely.
- Always lock the brake lever before sitting and do not use the seat when rollator is on an incline or uneven ground.
- Replace castors when tyres are significantly worn or damaged.
