Introduction to the Product

Load the Batter

*This machine uses 3AA batteries or BL-5C lithium batteries:**

  1. When using AA batteries, please use alkaline 1.5V batteries; please do not use 1.2V rechargeable batteries. This device requires more than 3.3V (1.1V three batteries). When using 1.2V rechargeable batteries, the power symbol will only show 2 bars of electricity, and soon after it drops to 1.1V, the radio will not work properly.
  2. When using a BL-5C battery, please pay attention to the orientation. If the battery is loose, place a piece of paper, foam, double-sided tape, etc. at the back. Batteries from different manufacturers may vary in size and if too large may not fit, or of too small may not make reliable contact and cause the radio to power off unexpectedly. Please pay attention to the battery fit.
  3. This device has a memory function, used to save a search and saved stations, favourite stations, last listened to radio programs, etc. in the memory. However, when the battery is removed, memory will be lost after 3 seconds, so when changing the battery, try to do it within 3 seconds.
  4. Use only DC 5V chargers with this machine, and avoid using cell phone fast charging devices that may provide 9V or 12V. After charging is finished, please disconnect the charging cable to prevent overcharging and reduction of battery life.
  5. When you need to play songs at high volume, please use a BL-5C lithium battery and avoid using AA batteries. AA batteries generally have a large internal resistance and a small power supply current. AA batteries can’t provide the required high power and can lead to an early shutdown, sound lag and screen flicker. AA batteries are a backup emergency solution. Reducing the volume can extend the life of the AA batteries

Special Note
Please use LIion battery (BL-5C) first, AA batteries can also be used, but the battery should be used only as an emergency backup plan. When using an AA battery, please turn down the volume or use headphones. To avoid early shutdown, reduced screen brightness, flicker, sound lag, power drop and other problems. Because AA battery power is small, it can not provide the high current required for loud volume. Turn down the volume for more normal operation with AA batteries

Warning
Please do not use inferior batteries; the power requirements of this device are high, and the maximum output power of the speaker is 3W. It requires a higher current power supply. When an inferior battery can not provide the required power, the radio will shut down prematurely, the screen will flicker, the sound will freeze, etc. When there is only one bar left in the battery indicator, or when using a low-quality battery, if the sound is turned up to the maximum, it will shut down in advance. If you reinsert the battery, you will find that the battery still has 1 bar of power or even 2 bars of power. In this case, the quality of the battery is not good enough; the voltage shows that there is still power, but the battery cannot provide sufficient power for the radio. Please turn down the volume or use headphones. It can still be used for a while. This is a great way to save electricity

Detailed specification

Antenna-How to us

  1. Built-in magnetic rod antenna, only used for AM radio. We need to be parallel to the ground and oriented. When the electromagnetic wave direction is perpendicular to the magnetic rod, better signals can be received.
  2. Telescopic antenna, used in FM/VHF/SW/WB/AIR bands. When using it, we need to adjust the antenna direction and antenna length. Especially the SW/AIR band. It’s not that the longer the antenna is, the better. Sometimes by shortening the antenna and changing its direction, you can receive more and clearer stations. Because the antenna needs to adapt to the direction and wavelength of electromagnetic waves.
  3. ANT antenna access port, using 3.5 standard port. Introducing an external antenna, only suitable for FM/VHF/SW/WB/AIR bands

External interface

  1. 1, TYPE-C input.

    • a , TYPE-C data cable, will only charge BL-5C batteries, it will not charge AA batteries, Please connect the 5V charger, computer interface, standard USB output port, etc. Please do not connect the phone’s fast charger, the phone’s fast charger output has 9V or 12V. It may burn the machine. This machine has done this protection, but the risk still exists.
    • b, TYPE-C cable can be connected to a computer, as a computer speaker, and TF card read and write function. Only supports the WINDOWS system, this function is not stable compatibility, if you can not read the TF card, please replace the computer, and check whether the wire is a data line (inside the 4 cores, can read data), the machine distribution 4 cores data cable. Please do not use the 2-core charging cable.
It only has a charging function, and can not read and write a TF card. The cheap charging cable sold on the market, it is only 2 cores, can only be used for charging, it is not a data line, can not read TF card, and can not do for the computer speaker connection.
  2. 5 headphone jack.

  3. 5 AUX IN input interface

  4. 5 ANT:
External antenna input interface. Provide antenna extension for FM/SW/VHF/WB/AIR.

  5. The flashlight uses a 2-speed switch, which can turn on the high beam and low beam

Notes For Attention

  1. Make sure to take out the batteries when the device is not used for a long time. Otherwise , the batteries may leak fluid.
  2. Do not use this product in an over-humid place, which may shorten its service life.
  3. Unauthorized dismantling or repair of this product may result in electronic breakdown or even damage, which is not within the scope of warranty repair.
  4. When inserting the TF card, please confirm whether the direction is correct. Do not use too much force to avoid breaking the TF card.
  5. When the screen displays ERR, it means that the TF card cannot be found. Please check the TF card or replace it with a new one

Weather Alarm
Press the BAND key until the WB band appears, we can press the up and down keys to listen to the 7 weather frequencies (WB signal is only available in North America), long press the SCAN key to scan the weather alarm signal when a 1050KHZ alarm signal enters, the radio will start the alarm and flash the backlight to alert us of aweather anomaly. Long Press the SCAN key again to end the weather alert function. (For use in North America only, no information will be received elsewhere

Trouble Shooting

Radio signals are not clear or received radio stations are few :

  1. Buildings of concrete structures, fluorescent lamps and electromagnetic waves interfere with radio signals.
  2. Try to use manual tuning in the place where signals are weak.
  3. While listening to AM broadcasting, to ensure a broadcasting effect, place the device forward and make it perpendicular to the ground, and the AM antenna needs to keep parallel to the ground

Failure to switch on
When the charge level in the batteries is not sufficient or the elastic piece for the battery is rusted due to fluid leakage, change the batteries or Clean away the rust on the elastic place in time

The radio turns itself off during use
Generally, the battery power supply is insufficient, resulting in a natural shutdown, please replace the battery. You can also re-insert the battery, and check the battery power, if there is still 1 cell of electricity or 2 cells of electricity, you can turn down the volume of the radio, or use headphones to listen to the radio, which can also be used for some time, you can squeeze the last drop of energy in the battery. This is because the battery quality is not good enough to provide enough current to the radio when the radio uses headphones, the current consumption is minim

The flashlight will dim after a period of use:
This is a normal phenomenon because the new battery voltage is higher, after using a period, the power consumption part of the battery voltage will become lower, then it gives the electric flashlight power will become lowe

The TYPE-C interface cannot connect to the computer

  1. Check the TYPE-C data cable first, please use the original data cable delivered, and make sure you are using a 4-core data cable instead of a 2-core charging cable.
  2. When the TF card cannot be read and written, please replace the computer.
This machine only supports Windows system computers. Other devices may not be able to read and write the TF card in the radio, you need to take out the TF card, please use other settings to read and write the TF car
