Power On/Off the Smoke Alarm

Smoke Alarm

Power On: Long press the power button, the center of the front cover, for about 10 seconds until alarm beeps once, red LED indicator flashes once.

Power Off: Long press the power button for about 10 seconds until the device beeps twice along with the red LED indicator flashes twice.

Manual-Test:

Press the power button once. The smoke alarm beeps 6 times, red indicator flashes 6 times. That means the detector works properly.

Please test the alarms manually once a week to make sure the device works well (Buzzer test).

Smoke-Test for Smoke Alarm:

Spread smoke to the detector through the smog entrance. Few seconds later, the device beeps once every second until smoke disappear or manual operation. That means the alarm works properly.

Heat-Test for Heat Alarm:

You can use hair drier or heat gun to blow the heat sensor, the alarm will go off when the temperature up to about 54C. Every second, the alarm beeps once, red indicator beeps once.
Caution:

  • DO NOT use an open flame to test the device. It may damage the smoke alarm and its sensor, or start a fire.
  • DO NOT disassemble the device privately. It contains high-capacity lithium battery. It may cause a short circuit of the battery and cause a fire.
  • DO NOT stand close to the alarm when it is sounding. It may be harmful to your hearing, Please step away when testing.

LED Indicator

Normal Status: Every 60 seconds, Green LED indicator flashes once. Silence Mode: Every 8 seconds, Red LED indicator flashes once.

Low Battery: Every 60 seconds, alarm beeps once, red indicator flashes once.
Fault Status: Every 40 seconds, Red LED indicator blinking once, alarm beeps once.

Interlinked Alarms

The smoke alarms are interlinked through radio-frequency signals, No matter which alarm detects fire, all of the linked detectors will alarm,

Linked the Alarms:

  • Step 1: Power on all the smoke alarms, select one of the alarms to press the power button four times rapidly. Then the green LED will flash continuously. The device is in transmitting mode and lasts for about 60s.
  • Step 2: Press the power button of the other smoke alarms twice. Green LED slowly flash, The devices are in signal receiving mode.
    If these smoke alarms link successfully, the green LED will stop flashing. If failed, the green LED continue flashing 60s, the the red light will be on for

Linked by Remote

  • Step 1: Press power button of all alarms twice. The green LED will flash continuously, indicating alarms are entered pairing mode.
  • Step 2: Press button on the remote, The green LED on each alarm will flash in sync and then stop flashing after a few seconds. Then the alarms are interlinked.

The alarms you received are already interlinked in factory, just test whether the network is well.

Network Test

Manual Test : Select one of the linked alarm, press the power button. The detector alarms. Then the other linked detectors will alarm too (beeps 6 times, red indicator flashes 6 times). That means the detectors are linked successfully.

Test by Remote:

Press Test/Silent button of the remote, few seconds later, all alarms beep 6 times, red indicator flashes 6 times.

Smoke-Test:

Select one of the linked alarm, spread smoke to the detector through the smog entrance. Few seconds later, the alarm beeps once every second. The other alarms beeps once every 0.2 second. It means all the detectors are linked successfully. If one or more alarms has no reaction, please reconnect it (Refer to ‘F. Interlinked Alarms’)

Silence Mode

This function helps you to mute the alarm when alarming.

Press power button of the device once, the alarm of smoke detector will become inactive for 10 minutes. The red LED flashes once every 8 seconds. After 10 minutes, the Smoke Detector resets. If there is still smoke, the alarm will go off again, Before silent the alarm, please identify the reason to cause alarming and make sure a safe surrounding.

Silent Alarms Interlinked

If the smoke alarm detect fire, it will be source alarm (beeps once every seconds) and emits signal. The other detectors will alarm (beep once every 0.2 sceond) when receive the signal. Find out the source alarm, press the power button of the source alarm once or use the remote control to pause the source alarm, Then all the alarms will stop alarming

Disconnect the Interlink Function

Press power button twice quickly, green LED flash slowly for about 60s. Then the detector will disconnect with other devices,

Recommended locations:

  • Required by law in most countries: At least one on every floor where people live

  • Highly recommended:
    All bedrooms, hallways and remote rooms

DO NOT place the Smoke Detector here:

  • Next to air vents, fans and central heating
  • Dusty, dirty areas, areas with insects and easily polluted places
  •  Places with difficult access (making it difficult to operate the test function)
  • Next to doors or windows
  • Close to a fireplace or a wood-burning stove Areas with high humidity

Note:

  • If installed on the ceiling, The smoke alarm should be more than 30cm away from corner. Installed on the wall, 10cm away from ceiling at least.
  • The smoke alarm should be more than 50cm away from the top ceiling when installed in the house with triangle roof.

Ways To Install

Two installation ways: Drill and Non- Drill.

Mounting with screw kits

Step 1: Twist off the bracket, Mark the location of screw hole on the wall or ceiling according to the screw hole on mounting bracket.
Step 2: Drill the hole with 5 mm drill, Insert the dowel to the hole
Step 3: Screw the bracket on the wall or ceiling.
Step 4 : Attach the detector to the bracket (Align three rotary buckles to the holes) and twist about 5 degree counterclockwise to lock

Mounting with double-sided tape.

Step 1: Peel off the protective film of the tape one side, paste on the bracket
Step 2: Clean the mounting place.
Step 3: Peel off the protective film of the tape of the other side, paste to the location of installation

NOTE :

If the surface has a rough texture, Please install the device with screw kits on Rough walls, plaster ceilings etc.

Attentions

  1. Please clean the smoke detector once a month at least with vacuum,
  2. You can use stick or broom to press the switch button on the center of the smoke detector.
  3. DO NOT paint the detector which can influence the accurate of the alarm,

M. FAQ

Q: Why doesn't the alarm ring when testing?

A: 1. Please check whether the device is powered on. 2. The device is in silence mode. Please test it again after 10 minutes. 3.Please check whether it is linked to the network with other devices.

Q: The smoke detector beeps every 40 seconds.

A: There is something wrong with the device. Please turn of the device and clean it with vacuum. Then restart it. If it still rings, contact us by email. We will solve the problemfor you.

Q: Why does smoke alarms often givefalse alarms?

A: The false alarms can caused by many reasons, such as cooking, smoking, insects, dust and so on. Don't install in kitchen, bathroom, places near to the door window and air condition. Please select the proper place to install the device to reduce the false alarm (Refer to K-1).
