SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS

FOR ASSEMBLY AND USE OF LIGHTING FITTINGS

• The producer (supplier) is not liable for damages and injuries caused by incorrect assembly and starting up.
• The installation and connection of the fitting may only be done by a person with a licence for work on electrical equipment.
• During the installation, comply with the effective regulations and standards.
• Before the installation, check whether the place intended for the installation of the fitting (the wall, the ceiling) is free from any earlier electric, gas or waterline installation.
• Note! Before starting assembly works, switch off the voltage in the supply line – remove (switch off) the fuse.
• The fittings are only intended for use in residential units. Do not install fittings on the base that are humid or of good conductivity.
• The fitting wires should be connected with a connector compliant with the EN 60998 standard.
• The connector (the block) should have safety attestations effective in Poland and the European Union.
• The Class I fitting should be connected to the earthing terminal with the earth conductor (green/yellow).
• Class I fitting has double wire insulation and may not be connected to the earth conductor.
• Make sure that the wires were not damaged during the installation work.
• Damaged fittings should only be replaced with fittings of the same design, power rating and voltage.
• Blown bulbs should be replaced only with bulbs of the same type, voltage and power rating (see the label).
• Halogen sources of light must not be used in the fittings with E27 and E14 threads offered by us.
• The bulb’s glass may reach very high temperatures, so it should be left to cool down before replacement.
• The bulbs provided with the fitting are not subject to complaints because they are added as decorative and advertising items.
• Clean only the enclosure of the fitting. Do not allow water or moisture penetrate to the contacts or the parts running electricity.
• If the fittings are installed in the room with a bathtub or a shower, follow the regulations applicable to construction electrical installations.
• The fittings are provided with non-replaceable Z-type wires. Unauthorised replacement of the wire (the external one, flexible, or the internal one) is forbidden.
• It always causes irreversible changes in the functional premises, thus it may cause defective operational use and hazard for users.
• If any wire is damaged, the fitting should be withdrawn from use and destroyed.
• Cleaning may only be done with a dry cloth when the power supply is disconnected.
• Class I protection (with insulation) – the earth conductor (the green/yellow wire) may not be connected.
• Class I protection – the lighting fitting must be connected with the earth conductor (the green/yellow wire) to the earth wire end.

The materials used in the production of lighting fittings are of natural origin, thus attention should be paid to the following features specific for the material:

• In the case of blown glass, air bubbles may originate, which is a sign of a high-grade product manufacturing process.
• Wooden ornaments may occasionally feature other shades or small dots.
• Wood is a natural material of unchanging properties, so deviations of this type may always appear, but they are not grounds for complaints, rather, they render the quality of naturalness to wood material in all its forms.
• Elements of fittings of brushed or transparently enamelled steel or iron may feature the top coat with inclusions, discoloured- tion, soldering spots, welding traces or scratches, which are characteristic of non-machined steel, so they do not impair its value.

Information on the protection of the environmen:

• Worn-out electrical appliances are recyclable materials that must not be disposed of in household waste containers (see the marking in the text), as they may contain substances hazardous to human health, life, and the environment.
• According to the WEEE directive (Directive 2012/19/EU) applicable in the European Union, separate disposal methods should be used for used electrical and electronic equipment.
• The user who intends to dispose of such products is obliged to deliver it to a collection point for used equipment, eg a seller of that equipment, or another entity that collects waste of this type.
• The above obligations result from the Act of 11 September 2015 on waste electrical and electronic equipment (Dz.U. nr 0, poz. 1688) and are aimed at ensuring the appropriate level of collection, recovery, and recycling of used equipment, thus contributing to the environmental protection.
• The producer (supplier) is not liable for injuries and damages that may result from improper use of the fitting.
