Read the instruction manual and the separately enclosed safety instructions
very carefully before using this appliance. Keep these documents, including
the warranty certificate, receipt and, if possible, the box with the inner
packaging in a safe place. If you pass the appliance on to a third party,
always include all the relevant documents.

It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents
and prevent damage to the appliance:

Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
- Check the scope of delivery for completeness.
- If the contents of the packaging are incomplete or if damage can be detected, do not operate the appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.
- There may still be dust or production residues on the appliance. We recommend that you clean the appliance as described under “Cleaning”.
Warnings for the Use of the Appliance
WARNING: Risk of Burns!
- Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
- Always make sure that the lid is firmly closed.
- The appliance housing becomes hot during operation, do not touch it and allow the appliance to cool down before putting it away.
CAUTION: Overload!
- If you use extension cables, they should have a cable cross-section of at least 1.5mm².
- Do not use a multiple socket as this appliance is too powerful.
CAUTION:
- Always switch off the appliance before removing it from the base! The contacts on the base are not suitable for disconnecting the power supply.
- Make sure that the appliance is switched off when you put it back on the base!
Notes for Use
Mains Cable
Unwind the required mains cable completely from the base part of the base.
Please pay attention to the routing of the mains cable.
Connected Load
In total, the appliance can handle a power of 2200W. With this connected load,
a separate supply line with a fuse protection via a 16A household circuit
breaker is recommended.
Electrical Connection
- Check that the mains voltage you want to use matches that of the appliance. You will find the information on the type plate.
- Only connect the appliance to a properly installed protective contact socket
Switching the Appliance On/Off

Switch on (switch position: I):
Switch on the appliance with the switch. The lighting in the water tank and in the switch lights up. -
Switching off (switch position: 0):
Switch off the appliance with the switch. The light in the water tank and in the switch goes out.
Preparation
Before using the appliance for the first time, boil it 3 times with fresh
water. Use only clear water without additives.
Operation
- Place the appliance on a flat surface.
- Close the appliance with the lid. It must audibly click into place. Always make sure that the lid is firmly closed.
- Fill in clear water through the filler opening (max. 1.7 litres). You can read the fill level on the appliance’s water level indicator.
- Always use fresh, cold water.
- The water level must be between the MIN and MAX marks.
- You do not need to remove the lid in order to fill in water. The lid is equipped with a self closing filler opening. The flap opens automatically at water pressure.
- Place the kettle flush on the base.
- Switch on the appliance with the switch. The lighting in the water tank and in the switch lights up.
Interrupting/Ending Operation
There are two ways to interrupt or end the cooking process:
- The appliance switches off automatically after the cooking process. The light in the water tank and in the switch goes out.
- To end or interrupt the cooking cycle prematurely, set the switch to the 0 position.
- Always switch off the appliance before removing it from the base! The contacts on the base are not suitable for disconnecting the power supply.
- Make sure that the appliance is switched off when you put it back on the base!
- Unplug the mains plug from the socket.
- Empty the water container.
- Only hold the appliance by the handle.
- Keep the lid closed when pouring out.
- Open and close the lid by using the handle on the lid.
- The appliance becomes hot during operation, do not touch it and allow the appliance to cool down before putting it away
Cleaning
WARNING:
- Always switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the socket before cleaning. Wait until the appliance has cooled down.
- Do not immerse the appliance or the base in water or other liquids. It could cause an electric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
- Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Use a nylon brush to clean the filter insert at the spout opening.
- Rinse the water reservoir with clean water. Dry it with a cloth.
- After use, clean the lid and housing with a slightly damp cloth.
Descaling
- The intervals for descaling depend on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use.
- If the appliance switches off before the water boils, descaling is necessary.
- Do not use vinegar, but a commercially available descaling agent based on citric acid. Dose according to the instructions.
- After descaling, boil fresh water several times (approx. 3 to 4 times) to remove residues. Do not use this water for consumption.
Storage
- Clean the appliance as described and allow it to dry completely.
- We recommend storing the appliance in its original packaging if you do not intend to use it for a long period of time.
- Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a well-ventilated and dry place.
Winding Device for Mains Cable
You can wind up the mains cable at the bottom part.
Troubleshooting
