Intended use
This product is only intended for household use indoors. Any other use may
result in malfunction and the warranty will be void.
General safety
DANGER!
Risk of serious injury or death!
- Do not dismantle the product or remove the protective covers of the product. There is risk of electric shock, physical injury and/or damage to the product.
- Keep the product away from water and other liquids to prevent the risk of death or serious injury.
- Do not install the product near fire or water.
- Do not use the product in an industrial environment or outdoors.
- Do not insert any objects into the inputs except the supplied or recommended product accessories.
- Do not insert any conductive objects into the connectors or inputs of the product.
- Do not use the product during a thunderstorm, there is a risk of malfunction and electric shock.
DANGER!
Do not attempt to perform any repairs yourself. Tampering with the product and
non-professional repair may cause electric shock, injury or damage to the
product. It also makes the warranty invalid.
There are no user-serviceable parts in the product. Maintenance and repairs
shall only be carried out by qualified personnel. Contact Elvita support if
the product needs reparation or in any of these cases:
- The product has been exposed to rain or moisture.
- The product has been dropped and damaged.
- The product does not function properly or its operation is affected.

Do not expose the product to direct sunlight and keep the product away from

- Before connecting the product to the mains, make sure the connection parameters of the product (fuse rating, voltage and frequency) match the mains power supply. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
- Do not use the product in humid conditions, in the rain or near water.
- Make sure that the power cord does not come into contact with any sharp objects.
WARNING!
Risk of physical injury!
- In situations where attention is required, always monitor your surroundings carefully to avoid causing injury to yourself or others. This product is associated with a changed and/or reduced perception of surrounding sounds.
- Do not submerge the product in water or any other liquids.
- Adjust the volume to recommended decibel (dBA) levels, exposure to loud noise can cause hearing impairment and hearing loss. The maximum dBA level of this product is 93 dBA when measured at a distance of 1 meter.
- Disconnect the power source if the product has been exposed to water or any other liquids.
- Do not place the product near electromagnetic radiation or products such as amplifiers.
- Do not expose the product, not even when it is turned off, to temperatures above 45 °C or below 0 °C. It can damage the internal components of the product.
- Do not cover the product with any material, insufficient ventilation can cause overheating and/or shorten the life of the product.
- Do not place the product in places where dust accumulates.

- Do not open the housing of the remote control, except to open the battery compartment. The remote control is a Class 1 laser product.
- Incorrect use of the batteries may cause electrolyte leakage or an explosion.
- Chemicals leaking from the batteries can cause corrosion. If there is a chemical spillage, remove it from the product with a cloth.
- Do not use different types of batteries with different characteristics.
- Do not use old and new batteries together, there is a risk of electrolyte leakage from the old battery.
- Remove the batteries as soon as they are discharged.
CAUTION!
- Make sure that all cord connections are securely and correctly connected.
- Do not turn the product on and off too frequently.
- Turn off the product and disconnect it from the power mains if it is not to be used for a longer time.
- Do not pull the cords, instead pull by the connectors when disconnecting them from the product and/or mains.
- Do not tie the cords in bundles or wind them together.
- Do not subject the cords to any mechanical stress or damage.
- Install the product on a flat, stable surface.
- Avoid dropping or hitting the product.
CAUTION!
- Insert 1.5 V, AAA batteries into the remote control so that they correspond with the polarities, + and –, on the product.
- If the range of the remote control decreases, replace the batteries with new ones.
- Remove the batteries from the remote control if it is not being used for a long period.
NOTE!
The batteries supplied with the product may have a shorter life due to storage
conditions.
Safety for children and people with disabilities
DANGER!
Risk of serious injury or death!
- Keep children younger than 8 years old away from the product unless continuously supervised.
- Do not let any cords hang freely accessible to children when using the product or in storage. There is a risk of strangulation and children pulling the cords of the product causing physical injuries.
- Make sure children do not insert any objects into the product, there is a risk of electrocution.
- Keep all packaging material away from children, there is a risk of suffocation.

- Cleaning and operation that can be performed by the user must not be performed by children without supervision.
- Do not let children be exposed to loud noise and be close of the product. Loud noise can cause hearing impairment and hearing loss.
Disposal
WARNING!
- The battery must only be removed by a qualified electrician.
- The product may only be opened to dispose of the battery.
This product includes a built-in lithium-ion battery 7.4 V, 4000 mAh, and 1.5
V, AAA batteries. Remove the batteries before disposing of the product.
The European Directive for Batteries 2006/66/EC states that it is not
permitted to throw away batteries with household waste. They may contain
substances that are harmful to the environment. Empty batteries can be handed
over to a local, public collection point or a local recycling centre. To avoid
overheating as a result of a short circuit, lithium batteries must be removed
from the product and the poles must be protected using insulation tape or some
other means against short-circuiting.
Dispose of packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. Recycling
packaging, while observing national and local regulations, can reduce the
consumption of raw materials and the amount of waste in landfill sites.
This product is marked in compliance with European Directive 2012/19/EU, Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The symbol on the product or on
its packaging indicates that this product should not be treated as household
waste. Instead, it shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for
the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent
potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which
could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of the product. For
more detailed information about recycling of this product, please contact the
relevant municipal body in charge of waste management, your household waste
disposal service or the store where you purchased the product.
Remove the batteries for disposal

Remove the battery from the speaker
- Turn off and disconnect the speaker from the mains.
- Unscrew the four screws on the top panel and lift up the top panel.
- Unscrew the two screws that hold the battery in place.
- Disconnect the cables from the battery.
- Dispose of the battery at a local, public collection point or a local recycling centre. See the section “Disposal”,
Remove the batteries from the remote control
- Turn off and disconnect the speaker from the mains.
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Remove the batteries from the battery compartment.
- Dispose of the battery at a local, public collection point or a local recycling centre. See section “Disposal”
Unpack the party box speaker
DANGER!
Keep all packaging material away from children, there is a risk of
suffocation.
Check the packaging and product for any damage. If the packaging or product is
damaged, contact the transport operator and the retailer where the product was
purchased.

USING THE PARTYBOX SPEAKER
Controls
Use the remote control or the top panel to control the speaker.

Basic operation
Charge the Partybox speaker
Charge the Partybox speaker before first use.
DANGER!
Do not insert any objects into the power input except the supplied power cord.
WARNING!
Before connecting the product to the mains, make sure the connection
parameters of the product (fuse rating, voltage and frequency) match the mains
power supply.
If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
- The usage voltage of the product is 230 V, 50 Hz.
- The battery is fully charged after 6 hours.
Connect the AC adapter to the mains and to the power input on the top panel.
- The speaker charges.
- The LED indicator turns green when the speaker is fully charged.
- The battery is fully charged after 6 hours.
- NOTE! Charge the speaker when:
- the LED indicator is red
- the sound is distorted
- the sound is weak
- the speaker turns off
NOTE! When running on battery power, the playback time is about 2 – 8 hours, depending on the set volume.
Turn on and turn off the speaker
DANGER!
Before connecting the product to the mains, make sure the connection

Turn off the product and disconnect it from the power mains if it is not to be
used for a longer time.
Turn on and turn off the speaker

Connect the speaker to the mains or disconnect the AC adapter from the speaker and use the power from the built-in battery.
NOTE! The LED display and LED indicator light up when the speaker turns on. -
Press – on the top panel to turn on the speaker.
Use the volume rotary knob to adjust the volume. -
Press o on the top panel to turn off the speaker.
NOTE! During a longer period of non-use, press OFF turn off the speaker and disconnect the AC adapter from the electrical socket.
Enter Standby mode
- Press and hold on the remote control to enter Standby mode.
- Press on the remote control to cancel Standby mode.
Use the Bluetooth mode
The speaker can connect to another device via Bluetooth within a 10-meter
range.

Press MODE and select Blue on the speaker to turn on Bluetooth mode. Blue flashes slowly on the display and the device is ready for pairing.

Turn on the Bluetooth mode on the other device.
-
Select the name of the speaker on the device to connect with the speaker.
The connection is stable when Blue is no longer flashing.
NOTE! If a password is required on the device that wants to connect with the speaker, enter 0000. -
Start playback on the paired device and set the volume on it or adjust the volume on the
speaker.
The sound from the paired device will be reproduced by the speaker.
NOTE!- Use the volume rotary knob on the top panel or press the remote control to adjust the volume during playback. The set volume is shown on the display.
- Press MENU on the top panel to cycle through the available modes; Treble, Bass, Echo. Use the volume rotary knob on the top panel or press on the remote control to adjust the level of the mode.
- Press EQ on the remote control to select the desired equaliser preset; Pop, Rock, Jazz, classical, Flat.
NOTE! Once the speaker is connected via Bluetooth to another device, it will automatically reconnect when music playback is restarted.

Turn off the Bluetooth mode on the device or on the speaker to stop playback using the Bluetooth mode.
Use the TWS connection function
True wireless stereo (TWS) Bluetooth connection, can only be used between two
identical speakers. Use the function to reproduce real stereo sound with the
speakers and a paired Bluetooth device.

Turn on Bluetooth on the device selected to pair with the speakers.
-
Turn on both speakers, see section “Turn on and turn off the speaker”, page 18.

Press MODE and select Blue on the speaker.
Bluetooth mode is turned on. Blue flashes slowly on the display and the device is ready for pairing. -
Press and hold for 2 seconds on one of the speakers.
The search for the other speaker starts. SLAV flashes on the display.
Both speakers automatically pair with each other. SLAV is displayed.
One speaker will reproduce the left channel and the other speaker the right channel.
NOTE! Blue is displayed on the master speaker. SLAV is displayed on the slave speaker. -
If no speaker is connected via Bluetooth to an external device, connect the selected external device and turn on music, see section “Use the Bluetooth mode”, page 18.
Music plays simultaneously from both speakers in real stereo sound via Bluetooth. -
Press and hold to cancel the TWS pairing mode.
NOTE! If one of the two speakers is already paired with another speaker, the TWS pairing mode must be cancelled first. Otherwise, the two speakers cannot be successfully paired.
Use the USB playback function
Play files from a USB drive with a capacity of up to 16 GB.
The speaker can play MP3/WMA format in audio quality comparable to a CD.

Insert a USB drive to the USB port on the top panel.
The USB drive must contain audio files in MP3/WMA format.
The speaker automatically switches to the USB drive input even if another input has been previously selected.
NOTE!- Playback from the selected media starts automatically from the first audio file. If playback does not start automatically, press to start.
- The speaker automatically switches to the USB drive input even if another input has been previously selected.

Short press on the remote control to skip to the previous or next track.
Playback using a USB drive is the same as playback from microSD.
NOTE! Long press on the speaker or remote control to fast forward or rewind the current track.
NOTE!- Use the volume rotary knob on the top panel or press on the remote control to adjust the volume during playback. The set volume is shown on the display.
- Press MENU on the top panel to cycle through the available modes; Treble, Bass, Echo. Use the volume rotary knob on the top panel or press on the remote control to adjust the level of the mode.
- Press EQ on the remote control to select the desired equaliser preset; Pop, Rock, Jazz, classical, Flat.
Use the microphone playback function
Connect one or two microphones to the Partybox speaker.
- Insert a microphone cord (not supplied) to the MIC 1 and/or MIC 2 input on the top panel.
- Press M.VOL +/- on the remote control to adjust the volume.
NOTE!
- Press ECHO-/ECHO+ to adjust the level of echo.
- Press M-PRI to mute the playback music and instead hear the sound from the microphone. Press M-PRI again to turn on the playback music.
Record to USB drive or microSD card from connected microphone
Record audio in MP3 format from a microphone to a connected USB drive or a
microSD card.
There must be free space on the USB drive and on the microSD card.

Insert a microSD card into the TF card input on the top panel or a USB drive to the USB input on the top panel.
NOTE! Insert the microSD card in the correct direction. -
Connect a microphone to MIC 1 or MIC 2.

Turn on the speaker, see section “Turn on and turn off the speaker”, page 18.

Short press MODE to select microSD or USB drive source.
-
Press REC on the remote control to speak or sing into the microphone.
The recording of the sound from the microphone to the audio file on the microSD or USB drive starts. -
Press REC PLAY on the remote control to play the recorded sound.

- Use the volume rotary knob on the top panel or press on the remote control to adjust the volume during playback.The set volume is shown on the display.
- Press MENU on the top panel to cycle through the available modes; Treble, Bass, Echo. Use the volume rotary knob on the top panel or press on the remote control to adjust the level of the mode.
- Press EQ on the remote control to select the desired equaliser preset; Pop, Rock, Jazz, Clasical, Flat.
To delete a recording from the microSD or the USB drive, press R-DEL on the remote control.
Use the FM radio
Turn on the FM radio
- Turn on the speaker, see section “Turn on and turn off the speaker”, page 18.
- Press MODE on the top panel and select FM radio audio source.
A FM indicator and frequency number is lit on the display.
Extend the FM antenna as much as possible for best radio reception.
Tune and store radio channels
- Press on the top panel or on the remote control to automatically tune in and store all available radio channel in the speakers memory.
- Short press on the remote control to change the radio channel.
One short press switches one radio channel at a time.
NOTE! Long press or on the unit or remote control to use continuous
manual tuning. Tuning stops when a radio channel is tuned in with a good
signal.

- Use the volume rotary knob on the top panel or press on the remote control to adjust the volume during playback. The set volume is shown on the display.
- Press MENU on the top panel to cycle through the available modes; Treble, Bass, Echo. Use the volume rotary knob on the top panel or press on the remote control to adjust the level of the mode.
- Press EQ on the remote control to select the desired equaliser preset; Pop, Rock, Jazz, Clasical, Flat.
When the FM mode is switched off and on, the last radio channel listened to is tuned in.
Use microSD card playback
Play files from a microSD card with a capacity of up to 16 GB.
The speaker can play MP3/WMA format in audio quality comparable to a CD.

Insert a microSD card into the TF input.
The media must contain audio files.
The speaker automatically switches to the microSD input even if another input has been previously selected.
NOTE!- Insert the card in the correct direction.
- Playback from the selected media starts automatically from the first audio file. If playback does not start automatically, press to start.

Short press on the remote control to change track forward or rewind.
Playback using microSD is the same as playback from USB media.
NOTE! Long press or on the speaker or remote control to fast forward or rewind the current track.
NOTE!-
Use the volume rotary knob on the top panel or press on the remote control to adjust the volume during playback. The set volume is shown on the display.

Press MENU on the top panel to cycle through the available modes; Treble, Bass,

Connect an external sound source
Connect for example a TV or another another audio device to your speaker.
- Insert the audio cord to the speaker’s AUX IN input.
- Insert the other side of the cord to the output of the device to be connected.
- Short press MODE on the top panel or on the remote control and select LINE.
- Start playback and adjust the volume on the paired device or on the speaker.
NOTE!
- Use the volume rotary knob on the top panel or press on the remote control to adjust the volume during playback.The set volume is displayed.
- Press MENU on the top panel to cycle through the available modes; Treble, Bass, Echo. Use the volume rotary knob on the top panel or press on the remote control to adjust the level of the mode. Press ECHO-/ECHO+ on the remote control to adjust the level of echo.
- Press EQ on the remote control to select the desired equalizer preset; Pop, Rock, Jazz, Clasical, Flat.
Connect other external devices
- Insert an audio cord to the 3.5 mm AUX IN input or to the 6.3 mm MIC 1 or MIC 2 input.
- Press MODE to select the preferred audio source.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Use this table to solve problems with your Partybox speaker.
DANGER!
- Do not attempt to perform any repairs yourself. Tampering with the product and non-professional repair may cause injury or damage to the product. It also makes the warranty invalid. Instead, contact a service technician.
- Do not open the housing of the product, there is a risk of personal injury or damage to the product.

- The product has been exposed to rain or moisture.
- The product has been dropped and damaged.
- The product does not function properly or its operation is affected.
Problem Solution
The power is on, but there is no sound coming from the speaker| Check that the
speaker is connected properly
Ensure that the volume is not set to the lowest volume level
Ensure that the audio file is supported by the speaker
Connect the speaker to another device with a different audio cord
The speaker does not switch on| Check that the power cord is plugged in and
that the power is working
Check that the power switch is turned to ON
Bluetooth signal is interrupted| The distance between the Bluetooth device and
the speakers is more than 10 m
During the search, the Bluetooth device will find several other Bluetooth
devices| To avoid echo (feedback), do not hold the Bluetooth device too close
to the speaker. Wait for the search to complete and select the speaker to pair
There is no sound from the microphone| Connect the microphone to the MIC 1
or MIC 2 input properly
Check that the microphone switch is on
The microphone volume is at its lowest level, press
M.VOL and + to increase the microphone volume
Problem Solution
Problems with FM radio| Switch to the next radio channel
Radio channels cannot be found. Extend the FM antenna
Install the antenna at a different angle
No sound when playing USB/SD media| Error in the track format. Check the track
format. The compatible track formats are MP3 and WMA
Insert the USB/SD card properly
Error in the audio file| Check and modify the audio file
