Parking Sensor Troubleshooting
Does the Sensor have sufficient power?****
– Have you tried changing the batteries with fresh out-of-the-pack ones? We
have found that the sensor does not like previously used batteries.
Double-check that there is no corrosion interfering with the Sensor receiving
power when using batteries
A Micro-USB can be used instead of batteries. These can be found where phone
charging cables are sold.
Something in the way?****
– Another thing to keep in mind is sensor placement. If you can imagine the
sensor comes out in a cone shape, the farther you get from the sensor, the
wider it becomes. What can happen is a box, shelf, trashcan, something on a
shelf poking out, or something similar could be getting in the way, catching
the sensor, and causing it not to work properly.
Be sure to clear space on both sides of the sensor up to your car.
Damaged Mesh on the Sensor?****
– If the mesh on the bottom portion of the sensor is pushed in or damaged in any way, this could be causing an issue with effectiveness of the sensor.
