Suitable for greasing bearings with a minimum inner diameter of 1/2 (12 mm) to a maximum outer diameter of 6 (150 mm) and a height from 3/8 (10 mm) to 2 (50 mm)

Bearing packer has a non-threaded cone for fast placement of bearings and comes complete with a dust cover to prevent contaminants from entering the bearing

Instructions

Attach the base to a bench or any surface.
Open the dust cover.
Press the metal tab on top of the smaller cone, connecting the cone to the center shaft. This will instantly disconnect the smaller cone from the center shaft. Remove the smaller cone.
Place the bearing on the lower large cone.
Insert the small cone back on the center shaft and press it down. The small cone should seal the bearing completely.
Using a hand or air grease gun, grease the fitting installed below the large cone on the lower shaft.
Once the bearing is fully greased, grease will start flowing out of the bearing, which can be seen between the two cones.
Stop the greasing action and disconnect the grease gun from the fitting.
Press the metal tab on top of the smaller cone, connecting the
cone to the center shaft. This will instantly disconnect the smaller cone from the center shaft. Remove the smaller cone and then remove the bearing which is now fully and evenly greased.

Useful Tips

Always use the recommended grade of grease. Some grades of grease cannot handle temperatures of wheel bearing applications.
Do not use compressed air to clean the bearing prior to use with the bearing packer. This is unsafe and could damage the race.
