Important Instruction

  • For use with electric fuel pumps & gravity feed applications
  • All metal construction with the body, discharge spout, trigger & guard made from aluminum
  • Available with a swivel or with a hose barb at the inlet
  • Hose swivel at the inlet offers increased maneuverability & convenience in use
  • Manual control. Also includes a continuous flow switch for unattended dispensing
  • Designed for minimal back pressure & reduction in flow
  • 6-5/16” (160 mm) long Spout
  • Available in 3/4” or 1” outlet with an option of BSP or NPT threads: 3/4” version for diesel/ unleaded gasoline and 1” version for diesel fuel

INSTALLATION & OPERATION

  1. Connect one end of the fuel hose to the electric fuel pump & the other end to the hose swivel/ hose barbs of the fuel control nozzle. Use adapters if the threads do not match.
    Note: Use a thread sealant such as PTFE tape to ensure a leakproof joint.

  2. Switch on the power supply to the electric fuel pump. Start dispensing by pressing the trigger of the fuel control nozzle. Note: For Continuous unattended dispensing press the continuous flow switch, such that the trigger gets activated in the dispensing position.

  3. When dispensing is over, carefully store the fuel control nozzle using the nozzle hanger.

  4. Switch off the power supply to the electric fuel pump.

MAINTENANCE

The fuel control nozzle does not require any special maintenance when used correctly

WARNING

  • Never operate the gun near fire or a source of spark. Some media may be explosive & dangerous.
  • Fuels containing ethanol will cause more frequent replacement of rubber parts.
  • Use extreme care when using the gun with continuous flow switch in unattended mode ensuring that the container in which media is being transferred has a capacity much larger than the container being emptied.
  • Do not drop the gun to avoid any damage.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
Nozzle won’t dispense fuel This may be due to blockage at the inlet Clean

the inlet. Unscrew spout (15), inspect and clean valve as required
Low flow rate| Air is drawn in by a loose hose connection or loose spout| Tighten the hose connections & the spout (15)
Possible that a piece of debris gets lodged at the inlet| Remove the nozzle from the hose, straighten the hose, and drain into a bucket. Check for debris
Fuel leaking from swivel inlet| Damaged O-ring or swivel| Replace the O-ring or swivel
