  1. Always charge indoors. Because the charger and battery heat slightly during charging, charge the battery in a place not exposed to direct sunlight; where the humidity is low and the ventilation is good.
  2. This charger is not intended for use by children or persons with physical, sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience or knowledge. This charger can be used by children aged 8 or older and by persons who have physical, sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience or knowledge if a person responsible for their safety supervises them or has instructed them in the safe operation of the charger and they understand the associated dangers. Otherwise, there is a risk of operating errors and injuries.
  3. Supervise children during use, cleaning and maintenance. This will ensure that children do not play with the charger.
  4. Use R20 series lithium-ion batteries for charging. The battery voltage must match the battery charging voltage of the charger. Do not charge any non- rechargeable batteries. Otherwise there is a risk of fire and explosion.
  5. Do not expose the charger to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
  6. Keep the charger clean. Dirt poses a risk of electric shock.
  7. Always check the charger, cable and plug before use. Stop using the charger if you discover any damage. Do not open the charger yourself, and have it repaired only by a qualified specialist using only original replacement parts. Damaged chargers, cables and plugs increase the risk of electric shock.
  8. Make absolutely sure that the terminal area of the charger is free of any adhering foreign material or liquid. If there is any foreign material or liquid, remove before use.
  9. Do not operate the charger on an easily ignited surface (e.g. paper, textiles, etc.) or in a flammable environment. There is a risk of fire due to the charger heating up during operation.
  10. In case of damage and improper use of the battery, vapours may also be emitted.
Ensure the area is well ventilated and seek medical attention should you experience any adverse effects. The vapours may irritate the respiratory system.

GENERAL OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Always charge the battery at an ambient temperature of 5–45°C. A temperature of less than 5°C will result in over charging which is dangerous.

REGARDING ELECTRIC DISCHARGE IN CASE OF NEW BATTERIES, ETC
As the internal chemical substance of new batteries and batteries that have not been used for an extended period is not activated, the electric discharge might be low when using them the first and second time. This is a temporary phenomenon, and normal time required for recharging will be restored by recharging the batteries 2 – 3 times.

HOW TO MAKE THE BATTERIES PERFORM LONGER
Recharge the batteries before they become completely exhausted. When you feel that the power of the tool becomes weaker, stop using the tool and recharge its battery. If you continue to use the tool and exhaust the electric current, the battery may be damaged and its life will become shorter.
Avoid recharging at hightemperatures. A rechargeable battery will be hot immediately after use. If such a battery is recharged immediately after use, its internal chemical substance will deteriorate, and the battery life will be shortened. Leave the battery and recharge it after it has cooled for a while.
CAUTION: When the battery charger has been continuously used, the battery charger will be heated, thus constituting the cause of the failures. Once the charging has been completed, give 15 minutes rest until the next charging.

MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION

CAUTION: Pull out battery before doing any inspection ormaintenance.

  1. Check the Screws
Loose screws are dangerous. Regularly inspect them and make sure they are tight.
CAUTION: Using this battery charger with loosened screws is extremely dangerous.

  2. Check for Dust
Dust may be removed with a soft cloth or a cloth dampened with soapy water. Do not use bleach, chlorine, gasoline or thinner, for they may damage the plastics.

CAUTION: Repair, modification and inspection of the charger must only be carried out by an authorized service center of Euromaster Import Export LTD
