Product Usage Instructions

Installation Precautions:

Before starting the installation process, please read and follow these precautions:

  • Disconnect power at the main fuse box before installation.
  • This fixture is intended for installation following the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. If you are not familiar with code requirements, installation by a certified electrician is recommended.

Assembly :

Please follow the steps below to assemble the product:  Position the mounting bracket (A) so that the threaded ends of the attached fixture mounting screws (E) are facing out.

  1. Carefully pull the house wires through the center hole in the mounting bracket (A). Align the holes in the mounting bracket (A) with the holes in the junction box. Ensure that the fixture mounting screws (E) are level. Thread each junction box screw (B) into the appropriate holes in the mounting bracket (A) and into the holes in the junction box. Tighten the junction box screws (B) to secure the mounting bracket (A) to the junction box. Caution: Make sure the house wires are pulled completely through the hole in the mounting bracket. Do not pinch wires between the mounting bracket and the wall.

Wire Connections:

Follow the steps below to make the correct wire connections:

  1. Strip 3/4 of the insulation from the ends of the fixture wires.
  2. Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw. Wrap the house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to the fixture ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire (copper) together. Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten the wire nut (C).
  3. Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten the wire nut (C). Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten the wire nut (C).
  4. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around the wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure that the wires are securely fastened into the wire nuts.
  5. Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.

Mounting :

Follow the steps below to mount the fixture:

  1. Place the backplate (D) over the mounting bracket (A). Pass the holes in the backplate (D) over the ends of the fixture mounting screws (E). Caution: Do not pinch the wires between the backplate and the mounting bracket.

  1. Position mounting bracket (A) so threaded ends of attached fixture mounting screws (E) are facing out.

    Connect Supply (House) Ground Copper Wire to:

    Bare Copper Wire or,
    Bare Silver Wire or,
    Green Insulated Wire.

  4. Strip 3/4” of insulation from the ends of fixture wires.
  5. Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw. Wrap house ground wire (copper) around a ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to the fixture ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire (copper) together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference the chart below for correct wire connections.
    Connect Black Lead Supply (House) Wire to:| Connect White Neutral Supply (House) Wire to:

    Black Wire or,| White Wire or,
    Parallel Cord (Round and Smooth) or,| Parallel Cord (Square and Ridged) or,
    No printed words on wire insulation or,| Printed words on wire insulation or,
    Insulated Wire (other than green)

with Copper Conductor.

with Silver Conductor.

*When parallel wire (SPT 1 & SPT 2) is used: The lead wire is round in shape or smooth. The neutral wire is square in shape or ridged.

  1. Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart to the right for correct wire connections.
  2. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure wires are securely fastened into wire nuts.
  3. Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.
  4. Place backplate (D) over the mounting bracket (A). Pass holes in the backplate (D) over the ends of fixture mounting screws (E). CAUTION: Do not pinch wires between the backplate and the wall.
  5. Screw one threaded cap (F) onto the end of each fixture mounting screw (E). Tighten threaded caps (F) to secure fixture (D) to the wall. DO NOT over-tighten.
  6. Raise shade (K) up to the fixture. Pass hole in shade (K) over the socket. Thread socket ring (L) onto socket. Tighten socket ring (L) to secure shade (K) in place. DO NOT over-tighten.
  7. Screw recommended bulb (E26 Edison bulb type, not included) into the socket. Verify the correct bulb wattage marked on the socket of the fixture.
    • WARNING :DO NOT exceed maximum bulb wattage.
  8. To adjust shade and/or arm, turn the key at each point. Carefully move the shade/arm into the desired position. Carefully tighten key to secure shade/ arm in place.DO NOT over-tighten.
