Product Usage Instructions
Installation
- Disconnect power at the main fuse box before installation.
- This fixture is intended for installation by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. If you are not familiar with code requirements, installation by a certified electrician is recommended.
- Before assembly, remove all parts and part packages from the box. If anything is missing, please contact the retailer from which the product was purchased.
- Carefully pull house wires out of the junction box so they are easily accessible during installation.
- Position the mounting bracket (A) so the threaded ends of the attached fixture mounting screws (E) are facing down towards the floor.
- Thread each junction box screw (B) into the holes in the mounting bracket (A) and the holes in the junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure the mounting bracket (A) to the junction box. Make sure house wires are pulled completely through the hole in the mounting bracket. Do not pinch wires between the mounting bracket and ceiling.
- Lower the shade (K) down over the fixture body (O).
- Align the holes in the top of the fixture body (O) with the holes in the bracket on the shade (K).
- Screw one thumbscrew (L) down into each hole in the bracket and the holes in the top of the fixture body (O). Tighten thumbscrews (L) to secure the fixture body (O) to the shade (K).
- At least one 6 inch stem (N) must be used.
- Carefully push the fixture wires up through the bottom.
- From the last stem (M/N), push the fixture wires up through the swivel (S) and thread the swivel (S) onto the top of the last stem.
- On the other side of the fixture, thread the swivel (S) onto the top of the last stem.
- Slip the fixture wires through the hole in the canopy (D) and pass the holes in the canopy down over the tops of the swivels (S).
- Pass the fixture wires through the hole in the plate (G) and slip the holes in the plate (G) over the ends of the swivels (S) protruding from inside the canopy (D).
- Pass the fixture wires through the hole in the lock washer (P) and then the hex nut (R). Slip the lockwasher (P) over the end of the swivel and thread the hex nut (R) onto the end of the swivel.
- On the other side of the swivel (S), slip the lockwasher (P) over the end of the swivel and thread the hex nut (R) onto the swivel. Tighten hex nuts (R) on each side of the fixture to secure the canopy (D) in place. Do not over-tighten.
- Strip 3/4 of the insulation from the ends of the fixture wires.
- Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw.
- Wrap the house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to the fixture ground wire.
- Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire together.
- Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it. Refer to the chart for correct wire connections.
- Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together.
- Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it.
- Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together.
- Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it. Refer to the chart for correct wire connections.

Installation Instructions

Carefully pull house wires out of the junction box so they are easily accessible during installation.

Position mounting bracket (A) so threaded ends of attached fixture mounting screws (E) are facing down towards the floor.

Thread each junction box screw (B) into holes in the mounting bracket (A) and into holes in the junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to the junction box.
CAUTION: Make sure house wires are pulled completely through the hole in the mounting bracket. DO NOT pinch wires between the mounting bracket and ceiling. -
Lower shade (K) down over fixture body (O). Align holes in the top of the fixture body (O) with holes in the bracket on shade (K). Screw one thumbscrew (L) down into each hole in the bracket and holes in the top of the fixture body (O). Tighten thumbscrews (L) to secure fixture body (O) to shade (K).
IMPORTANT: At least one 6 inch stem (N) must be used. -
Carefully push fixture wires up through the bottom of the 6-inch stem (N). Pull fixture wires out of the top of the 6-inch stem (N). Screw the bottom of the 6-inch stem (N) onto top of the fixture body (O).

On another side of the fixture, screw the bottom of the 6-inch stem (N) onto top of the fixture body (O).

Determine the desired hanging height of the fixture. Select the number of stems (M, 12 inches) to achieve that height.

Carefully push fixture wires through the remaining stems (M). Thread stems (M) together carefully keeping fixture wires taut. DO NOT pinch fixture wires between stems.

On the side of the stem without wires, thread the remaining stems (M) to the top of the stem (N). Ensure the same number of stems is used on each side.

From the last stem (M/N), push fixture wires up through swivel (S). Thread swivel (S) onto the top of the last stem.

On other side of the fixture, thread the swivel (S) onto the top of the last stem.

Slip fixture wires through the hole in the canopy (D). Pass holes in the canopy down over the tops of swivels (S).

Pass fixture wires through the hole in plate (G). Slip holes in plate (G) over ends of swivels (S) protruding from inside canopy (D).

Pass fixture wires through the hole in the lock washer (P) and then the hex nut (R). Slip the lockwasher (P) over the end of the swivel. Thread hex nut (R) onto the end of the swivel.

On the other side of the swivel (S), slip lock washer (P) over the end of the swivel. Thread hex nut (R) onto swivel. Tighten hex nuts (R) on each side of the fixture to secure the canopy (D) in place. DO NOT over-tighten.

Connect Supply (House) Ground Copper Wire to:Bare Copper Wire or,
Bare Silver Wire or,
Green Insulated Wire. -
Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart to the right for correct wire connections.

Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure wires are securely fastened into wire nuts.

Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.

- Carefully raise the fixture to the ceiling. Place canopy (D) of fixture over mounting bracket (A). Pass holes in canopy (D) over ends of fixture mounting screws (E).
- Screw one threaded cap (F) onto the end of each fixture mounting screw (E). Tighten threaded caps (F) to secure the fixture to the ceiling. DO NOT over-tighten.
- Screw recommended bulbs (E26 Edison bulb type, not included) into sockets. Verify the correct bulb wattage marked on the socket of the fixture.
WARNING: DO NOT exceed maximum bulb wattage.
