Installation Precautions
Before starting the installation process, please ensure the following precautions:
- Disconnect power at the main fuse box before installation.
- Installation should be done by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local code specifications. If you are not familiar with code requirements, it is recommended to hire a certified electrician.
Assembly
Before assembly, follow these steps:
- Remove all parts and part packages from the box.
- If any parts are missing, contact the retailer from which the product was purchased.
Mounting Bracket Installation
- Carefully pull the house wires out of the junction box for easy access during installation.
- Position the mounting bracket (A) so that the threaded ends of the attached fixture mounting screws (E) are facing down towards the floor.
- Thread each junction box screw (B) into the holes in the mounting bracket (A) and the hole in the junction box. Tighten the junction box screws (B) to secure the mounting bracket (A) to the junction box. Ensure that the house wires are pulled completely through the hole in the mounting bracket and avoid pinching them between the bracket and ceiling.
Fixture Wiring
- Pass the fixture wires through the hole in the hex nut (L) and then through the hole in the cap (G).
- Pass the fixture wires through the threaded pipe (H). Slip the bottom end of the threaded pipe (H) through the hole in the top of the cap (G). Thread the hex nut (L) onto the bottom end of the threaded pipe (H) protruding from inside the cap (G).
- Thread the bottom end of the threaded pipe (H) into the coupling on top of the shade (K).
- Pass the fixture wires through the tube (P) and slip it over the threaded pipe (H).
- Slip the fixture wires through the coupling (R) and thread the coupling (R) onto the end of the threaded pipe (H) protruding from the top of the tube (P).
Stem Usage
Ensure at least one 6-inch stem (N) is used during installation.
Wire Connections
- Strip 3/4 of insulation from both ends of the fixture wires.
- Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A), but do not completely remove it. Wrap the house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to the fixture ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and house ground wire together. Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it. Refer to the chart below for correct wire connections.
- Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it. Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires and completely tighten it. Refer to the chart for correct wire connections.
- Wrap electrical tape (not included) around the wire nuts (C) and wires to ensure they are securely fastened.
- Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.

Installation Instructions
-
Carefully pull house wires out of the junction box so they are easily accessible during installation.
-
Position mounting bracket (A) so threaded ends of attached fixture mounting screws (E) are facing down towards the floor.
-
Thread each junction box screw (B) into holes in the mounting bracket (A) and into holes in the junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to the junction box. CAUTION: Make sure house wires are pulled completely through the hole in the mounting bracket. DO NOT pinch wires between the mounting bracket and ceiling.
-
Pass fixture wires through the hole in the hex nut (L). Pass fixture wire through the hole in the cap (G).
-
Pass fixture wires through threaded pipe (H). Slip the bottom end of the threaded pipe (H) through a hole in the top of the cap (G). Thread hex nut (L) onto the bottom end of the threaded pipe (H) protruding from the inside cap (G).
-
Thread the bottom end of the threaded pipe (H) into the coupling on top of shade (K).
-
Pass fixture wires through tube (P). Slip tube (P) over threaded pipe (H).
-
Slip fixture wires through coupling (R). Thread coupling (R) onto the end of the threaded pipe (H) protruding from the top of the tube (P).
IMPORTANT: At least one 6-inch stem (N) must be used -
Carefully push fixture wires up through the bottom of the 6-inch stem (N). Pull fixture wires out of the top of the 6-inch stem (N). Screw the bottom of the 6-inch stem (N) onto the coupling (R).
-
Determine the desired hanging height of the fixture. Select the number of stems (M, 12 inches) to achieve that height.
-
Carefully push fixture wires through the remaining stems (M). Thread stems (M) together carefully keeping fixture wires taut. DO NOT pinch fixture wires between stems.
-
From the last stem (M/N), push fixture wires up through swivel (S) attached to canopy (D). Carefully pull fixture wires up through the canopy (D). Keep fixture wires pulled tautly. Screw the last stem (M/N) to swivel (S) on canopy (D). DO NOT pinch wires between the last stem and swivel.
-
Strip 3/4” of insulation from the ends of fixture wires.
-
Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw. Wrap house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to the fixture ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C).
