How to cook rice
- Place the unit on a flat surface.
- Pour the required number of measuring cups filled with rice (1–7) into the cooking bowl. (We recommend that you rinse the rice a few times before cooking)
- Pour clean, cold water into the bowl up to the level that matches the number of cups of rice, as shown on the left-hand scale inside the bowl. The right-hand scale shows the approximate amount of cooked rice.
- Wipe any water or rice off the outside of bowl before placing it in the unit, to ensure correct operation.
- Insert the plug in a wall socket, turn it on and press the start button down to start cooking. The lower indicator light on the unit will come on.
- When the rice has finished cooking the unit will automatically switch to warming mode and will stay in this mode for about two hours, unless the unit is unplugged. The upper indicator light will remain on during this period and the start button will remain in its original position.
- Only serve the rice with the spatula provided, or a similar plastic spoon.
Remember to turn it off and unplug the unit when you have finished using it!
Note! Try adjusting the amount of water and rice to suit the type of rice
and your preference and taste.
How to steam vegetables, etc.
- Place the unit on a flat surface.
- Pour at least 100 ml of clean, cold water into the cooking bowl.
- Fit the steaming tray inside the cooking bowl.
- Add the vegetables that you want to steam.
- Insert the plug in a wall socket, turn it on and press the start button to start cooking. The lower indicator light on the unit will come on.
- When the vegetables are cooked as required, press the start button upwards to keep the vegetables warm until you are ready to serve them. If the vegetables are to be served immediately, turn it off and unplug the unit from the wall socket
CLEANING
Cleaning the exterior – When the unit is cool, wipe it clean with a soft, damp
cloth with a small amount of mild dishwashing liquid, but do not use strong
detergents or chemicals and do NOT immerse the exterior body of the unit in
water or place it in a dishwasher. The lid, cooking bowl and accessories
provided can be washed with dishwashing liquid. If rice sticks to the cooking
bowl, soak with water and dishwashing liquid for around 10 minutes before
washing it. Never scrape the bowl with a sharp object, as this may damage the
coating.
