These are the installation pictures of this type soft starter, you could find you need an extra matched starting capacitor.
Preparation
a) Additional start-up capacitor, 200〜240uF/330VAC，CD60 type or other
suitable type, please refer to wiring instruction, kindly reminder: the
capacity of the start-up capacitor is generally 2.5-3 times that of the
running capacitor.
b) Additional bleeder resistor, 15K ohm, 2W, carbon film resistor: if
current A/C start-up capacitor already has bleeder resistor then is not
needed, please refer to wiring instruction.
C) Additional AC contactor for proper control of A/C, if needed make sure
selects suitable voltage and current rating of AC contactor If there is an AC
contactor on the A/C, use the original contactor.
d) #250 Terminal, Female
e) Suitable AC power wire
f) No special tool is required

Wiling Instruction A
“ON” signal is the working voltage between 187-265VAC range, turn compressor on/off directly by A/C control board without AC contactor.

Wiring Procedure
a) Install AC contactor KM,
b) Cut-off Live/ON connection with compressor C terminal,
c) Re-connect Live/ON wire above to input pole of KM, KM coil positive
end and KM-6 terminal; (Note: KM-6 terminal only accepts 187-265VAC, incorrect
voltage may damage Soft Start Controller completely!)
d) Connect KM coil negative end to CON terminal.
e) Connect KM output pole to compressor C terminal.
f) Connect Soft Start Controller N terminal to Neutral wire,
g) Locate compressor S terminal and its built-in star-Up capacitor Crun.
h) Parallel connect Cstart capacitor and bleeder resistor, Cstart+Rx.
i) Connect one end of Cstart+Rx with Crun to compressor S terminal end,
note: another end of Crun correction (Neutral) remain no change.
j) Connect another end of Cstart+Rx to START terminal.
k) Cut-off compressor R terminal connection with Neutral, then reconnect
R terminal to COMP-R terminal.
I) Final Check all wires have been connected correctly then secure Soft
Start Controller.
m) Above complete the rewiring of A/C compressor control and installation
of Soft Start Controller
