Product Usage Instructions
Pre-Treating:
ARM & HAMMERTM Liquid Laundry Detergents can be used for pre-treating stains.
However, it is recommended to test the inside seam of the garment for
colorfastness before using. To pre-treat a stain, follow these steps:
- Pour a small amount of the liquid detergent directly onto the stained area.
- Rub the detergent gently into the stain.
- Add the pre-treated garment immediately and directly into the washer.
Using with High Efficiency (HE) Machines:
All ARM & HAMMERTM Liquid Detergents are designed to work in both regular and
high-efficiency (HE) machines. Follow your machine’s instructions for
detergent usage and dosage.
Using Bleach:
If you are using ARM & HAMMERTM Liquid Detergent with Bleach Alternative, it
is not necessary to use chlorine bleach as well. The detergent already
contains a bleach alternative. Follow the instructions on the product label
for proper usage.
Using with Color-Safe Bleach Alternative:
You can use ARM & HAMMERTM Liquid Detergent with Color-Safe Bleach Alternative
as a pre-treat for stains. To use as a pre-treat, follow these steps:
- Pour the detergent directly onto the stained area.
- Rub the detergent gently into the stain.
- Add the pre-treated item immediately and directly into the washer.
Note: We do not recommend using it as a pre-soak.
Using Other Laundry Additives:
ARM & HAMMERTM Liquid Detergents can be used in conjunction with any
commercially available laundry additives such as liquid fabric softener, ARM &
HAMMERTM Super Washing Soda, Baking Soda, OxiCleanTM laundry boosters, or pre-
treaters. Follow the instructions on the laundry additive’s packaging for
proper usage.

You may use our Color-Safe Bleach Alternative product as a pre-treat but we do not recommend using it as a pre-soak. For use as a pre-treat, just pour the detergent directly onto the stained area, rub gently and then add the item immediately and directly into the washer.
