What’s New?

  • Added support for Zenmuse X9-8K gimbal camera, which supports 4K resolution and up to 120fps full frame video recording. Due to performance limitations, clean footage is not supported in ProRes RAW format and 48 project frame rate or above video and only supports the OSD output when using the HDMI port of the main body and SDI port of the expansion plate with Zenmuse X9-8K.
  • Added support for DL 18mm F2.8 ASPH Lens.
  • Added support for recording 1-120fps S&Q (Slow motion and Quick motion) for Zenmuse X9-6K and Zenmuse X9-8K gimbal cameras.
  • Added support for displaying three channels of exposure waveform for the high-bright main monitor.
  • Added support for multi function dial settings of the main body.
  • Added support for recording full frame video at 17:9 ratio when sensor frame is set at 50fps for Zenmuse X9-6K gimbal camera (6K resolution is 5952×3136).
  • Added loop code for folder and file names to avoid repeated names.

  • Added auto recognition and calibration file loading for electronic lenses.
  • Added support for remaining in broadcast mode after restarting Ronin 4D.
  • Added support for enlarging the safety zone and frame guide along with the Focus Mag.
  • Added support for auto detection and repair for damaged footage when inserting a storage device. Only supports footage recorded with Ronin 4D or Inspire 3. The repaired audio and video duration depends on the degree of damage to the footage and cannot be guaranteed that all of the footage can be repaired.
  • Optimized the playback fluency issue when playing the high-quality videos.
  • Fixed issue: Focus motor need to be initialized after restarting.
  • Changed the recording time format to xx h xx m.

  • Update the firmware to the latest version for accessories (except for DJI RS Focus Motor (2022)) before mounting on the Ronin 4D Flex. Update the firmware of DJI RS Focus Motor (2022) in DJI Assistant 2 after connecting to the Ronin 4D Flex using the CAN port.
  • Make sure to update both the Video Transmitter and High-Bright Remote Monitor to the latest firmware version. Otherwise, the video transmission may work abnormally.

What’s New?

  • Added support to use the DJI Video Receiver with the DJI Video Transmitter and Ronin 4D Video Transmitter. Update the firmware of the DJI Ronin 4D Video Transmitter to V01.05.0500 or above.
  • Fixed rare issue of failed linking due to the use of third-party batteries for High-Bright Remote Monitor.

  • Added support for electric zoom control of the E Mount motorized zoom lens, optical stabilization, and the ability to switch AF/MF for E Mount Lenses. Only focus ring can be used to control focus when switching to MF. Requires E Mount Unit firmware v00.00.13.00 or above.
  • Added support for focus direction settings when using right hand grip.
  • Fixed issue: auto focus was not available when using zoom for zoom lens.
  • Fixed issue: audio was stuck when using playback for certain video formats.

Notes:

  • The Ronin 4D parameters will be reset to default after the firmware is updated. Check all the settings and reset.

  • Optimized the start up time for Ronin 4D.
  • Optimized the zoom control smoothness for the zoom lens.
  • Optimized the display effect for the High-Bright Main Monitor and fixed the overexposure issue for the bright areas.
  • Fixed issue: some E mount lenses without calibration cannot focus stably at infinity.
  • Fixed issue: gimbal settings did not take effect after importing the user profile.
  • Fixed issue: iris failed to be read using the E mount lens with a manual adjustment iris ring.
  • Fixed issue: gimbal mode failed to be reset after setting it to custom.

Notes:

  • Exposure assistant, peak focus and LiDAR waveform will be disabled automatically for optimal performance when recording ProRes 4444XQ video at 6K/48fps or 4K/96fps and above.
  • Left channel cannot be used when using Jam Sync through the 3.5 mm microphone port.
