• If the power cord is damaged, disconnect the plug immediately. Never use the device if the power cord is damaged.
• When the device is not in use, make sure that the plug is pulled out.
• Before disconnecting the device, make sure it is turned off.
• Disconnect the power supply if you want to move the device to another location.
• If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or by other qualified persons in order to eliminate the source of danger!
• Always keep this instruction manual within reach.
• When installing, take into account the routing of other installations in or on the walls, such as electricity, water and gas lines.
• The device must not be used near flammable/explosive substances and materials

• The device must not be left unattended in operating mode.
• The device heats up during operation. There is a risk of injury!
• The device must not come into contact with water or other liquids.
• The device must not be powered by an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to an on/off circuit due to the risk of fire.
• The device must not be placed under a wall socket.
• Do not connect the device to adapters or extension cords.
• Children aged 8 years and over and persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or persons without adequate knowledge and experience may use the device under supervision or after prior training in the safe use of the device, being aware of the resulting risks!
• The device must not be used by children to play with. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision!
• Children under the age of 3 should be kept away from the appliance unless they are constantly supervised!
• Children over the age of 3 but under the age of 8 may switch the appliance on and off, provided that the appliance is placed or installed in its normal position of use and that they are supervised or trained in the safe use of the appliance and are aware of the resulting risks. Children over the age of 3 but under the age of 8 may not plug in the appliance, adjust its operation, clean or maintain the appliance.

Some parts of the device can become very hot, causing burns. It is recommended to pay special attention if there are children or people in need of care nearby!

Sequence of accessories installation Remember to install it in the appropriate zone of the bathroom. In the case of the Varilla heaterBefore mounting the heater, mark the dowel holes for the wall brackets on the wall. Then, use a drill to drill the holes.

OPERATION

The device may only be put into operation if it is faultless.
Before starting, it is absolutely necessary to check the device in terms of whether:
a) there are no visible defects,
b) all parts of the device are fixed.

The heater can operate in manual and programmable mode. Manual mode is one in which the desired mode (comfort, economy or free frost) is set and the heater constantly works in this mode. In the case of the programmable mode, you can arrange the heater’s operation program separately for each day of the week, assigning each hour a selected mode (comfort or economy). In the programmable mode, it is not possible to assign the frost free mode.

Comfort mode
The default temperature in comfort mode is 19°C.
Economy mode
In the economy mode, it is possible to set the temperature lower than or equal to the temperature in the comfort mode. By default, the temperature in economy mode is 15.5°C.
Anti-Frost mode
In this mode, the device will turn on when the temperature is below 7°C and turn off when the temperature is above 7°C. In the case of anti-frost mode, it is not possible to set the temperature.

Switching between modes is possible with the V button. It allows you to select the comfort, economy, anti-frost mode in manual mode or switch to the programmable mode. The mode in which the heater is currently operating is indicated by the icon at the top of the display. The temperature is set using the + or – buttons. The temperature in the comfort and economy modes can be set in the range of 7 ° C … 30 ° C. To change the temperature in a given mode, it must be done during the heater operation in this mode.

Time setting
When using for the first time, a long period of non-use, or a power outage, you will need to set the time and day of the week. Time and day of the week settings can only be made when the programmable mode icon is shown on the display. If it is not there, switch the mode with the V button until the programmable mode icon appears.

To start setting the time and day, press and hold the V button for 3 seconds until the first two digits flash on the display. Use the + and – buttons to set the hour from 0 to 23. After 30 seconds of inactivity, it will automatically go to the minutes setting. Press the V button to enter the minute setting. As with the hours, you can set the minutes with the + and – buttons. After 30 seconds of inactivity, it will automatically go to the day of the week settings. Press the V button to enter the day of the week setting. As with the hours and minutes, you can set it using the + and – buttons. The numbers on the display correspond to the day of the week: 1 = MONDAY, 2 = TUESDAY, 3 = WEDNESDAY, 4 = THURSDAY, 5 = FRIDAY, 6 = SATURDAY, 7 = SUNDAY.
After setting the current day of the week, press V to confirm. You will then go to the programmable mode settings. If you do not confirm the day of the week with the V button for 30 seconds, the time settings will be saved automatically and you will go to the programmable mode settings. The programming process is described in the further part of the manual. If you do not want to program the heater, keep pressing the V button until you return to the home screen.

Weekly programming – setting
A suitable program can be assigned to each day of the week. Same as 1 (next to the hour and minutes) for Monday, 2 for Tuesday, 3 for Wednesday, etc., then P1 is the program for Monday, P2 for Tuesday, P3 for Wednesday, etc. until P7 is the program for Sunday. Depending on your needs, you can leave the default programs set (as below) or set any program for each day of the week, in which the appropriate mode (comfort or economy) will be assigned to each hour. The comfort mode on the display is presented as a rectangle above the time to which it has been assigned. Economy mode, on the other hand is presented as lack of this symbol.

Default programs P1-P7
When the heater is started for the first time, and after each factory reset, the program for each day of the week is the same and is as follows:

Comfort mode 5:00 – 23:59 (except the stated hours, it works in economy mode)

Setting programs P1 – P7 according to your preferences

Programmable mode settings can only be made when the programmable icon is shown on the display. If it is not there, switch the mode with the V button until the programmable mode icon appears. Press and hold the V button for 5 seconds. You will go to the time settings described earlier. If you want to set them, follow the previously described procedure. Note that for the programmable mode to work properly, it is necessary to set the current time and day of the week. If you have set the time and day of the week in advance and they do not need to be changed, press the V button until you enter the programmable mode setting. This will be evidenced by the displayed symbol P1.
Go to the program settings for Monday or select the day you want to program by pressing the V button. If you want to program the heater for Tuesday, press the V button until the display shows the program corresponding to Tuesday, i.e. P2. To enter the program edit mode, press and hold the V button. P2:00 will appear on the display. By pressing + and – you assign a given operating mode (comfort mode – button + or economy mode – button -) to each hour, starting from 00 and ending with 23. If you already assign modes to all 24 hours, press the V button to confirm the selection and V again to advance to the programming of the next day. After 30 seconds of inactivity, it will automatically go to the next day’s settings. With the V button you can move to the next days and program them in the same way as described above. Once you have programmed your desired days, click the V button until you return to the start screen.

Child lock
To avoid accidental operation of the heater, the user can set a child lock to block control of the device. The child lock can be activated by simultaneously pressing and holding the + and – buttons for 5 seconds until the child lock icon appears on the display. In this mode, all  buttons except on/off are inactive. The child lock can be turned off by pressing and holdingthe + and – buttons for 5 seconds until the child lock icon disappears from the display.

Settings
In the standby mode (the heater is connected to the power supply, but not turned on), press and hold the + button for 10 seconds. Using the V button, you can switch the set item in the menu, and using the + or – buttons change its parameters:
(F0) Temperature measurement calibration
(F1) Open window detection function
(F2) Anti-scald function

Temperature measurement calibration (F0)
It is used to correct the temperature reading when it is incorrect. In the settings menu at the F0 item, use the + and – buttons to set the calibration. The setting range is 5°C to -5°C (every 1°C). The default calibration value is -2°C. Press the V button to save the settings and move to the next menu item.

Open window detection function (F1)
If the room temperature drops by 5°C within five minutes, the heater will operate at a temperature setting of 10°C for a period of time. This time is selected by the user. It can be 60 or 90 minutes. After the set time has elapsed, the heater will return to the operating mode that was active before the open window detection function started. In the settings menu, press V until (F1) appears on the display. Use the + and – buttons to select the time (0, 60 and 90 minutes) after which the heater should return to the active operating mode before the open window detection function is activated. Setting the value to 0 deactivates the function. The default value is 0. Press the V button to save the settings and go to the next menu item.

Anti-Scald function (F2)
If the surface of the heater reaches the temperature assigned to the anti- scald function, heating will be stopped until the temperature of the surface of the heater drops. Press the + button to increase or – to decrease the temperature assigned to the anti-scald function. You can choose from the following temperature settings: 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60°C. Setting the oF value disables the function. oF is the default value. Press the V button to save the settings and move to the next menu item.

When the open window detection function and the anti-scald function are turned on at the same time, only the open window detection icon will appear on the display. However, the anti-scald function will be enabled.
The next item is the F3 function, which does not affect the operation of the heater. Skip setting it by clicking the V button.

Memory backup function after power failure
If there is a sudden power failure, the heater’s current operating time settings are retained at the time of power failure. When the power is restored, the heater automatically turns on and returns to the previous operating mode, except for the time, which must be set again. In order for the memory backup function to work, any changes to the heater settings must be made. By default (when nothing has been set and the heater has only been connected to the power supply), the memory backup function is not enabled.

Return to factory settings
After pressing and holding the on/off button for 10 seconds, the heater settings will be restored to the factory settings, i.e. (temperature in comfort mode – 19°C, temperature in economy mode – 15.5°C, time – 12:00, day of the week – 1 (Monday), P1 – P7 – initial settings, temperature measurement calibration – -2°C, open window detection function – 0, antiscalding function

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning and maintenance
Never use detergents or solvents for cleaning. This may cause irreparable damage to the product. Plastic parts can be destroyed by chemicals.

• Turn off the appliance and let it cool down completely.
• Pull out the plug.
• Wipe the device with a slightly damp cloth.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Failures are often caused by minor faults. Most of them you can easily solve yourself. Please refer to the table below before contacting with the manufacturer’s service.

– Are the temperature settings set too low?
– No mains voltage.| – Switch on the device and set the desired one heat level.
– Set a higher temperature.
– Check cables, plugs, sockets and fuses.

If you are unable to repair the fault yourself, please contact your nearest dealer. Please note that any incorrect repairs will also void the warranty and you may incur additional costs.

However, you should remember that products belonging to the group of electrical or electronic equipment should be disposed of by an authorised person to their collecpoints.
You can return spent device to the shop where you will also buy a new one. The CCR REEWEEE recycling organisation, which we have signed a contract with, will pick it up.
