Product Usage Instructions
Background
The SRE.L-Luc/HEK293 CBP74201 is a cell line that expresses the
SRE.L-Luciferase gene. It has been tested for stability up to 32 passages, but
its stability beyond that is not guaranteed. It is commonly referred to as the
SRE cell line, MAPK reporter, or ERK reporter.
Introduction
The host cell for this product is HEK293, derived from Homo sapiens’
embryonic kidney tissue. The cells have normal morphology and are epitheloid
in nature. They grow in an adherent manner.
Description of Host Cell Line
- Organism: Homo sapiens (human)
- Tissue: Embryonic kidney
- Disease: Normal
- Morphology: Epitheloid cell
- Growth Properties: Adherent
Representative Data
Figure 1 shows the detection of Luciferase assay using the Ultra Luciferase
Detection Kit CBPH0001 (recommended to purchase from Cobioer).
FAQ
Can I use a different culture medium for this cell line?
We recommend using DMEM+10%FBS+100ug/ml hygromycin as the culture medium
for optimal growth and expression of the SRE.L-Luciferase gene.
How should I store the cell line?
The cell line should be stored in liquid nitrogen for long-term
preservation. Make sure to follow proper cryopreservation protocols.
Is the cell line tested for mycoplasma contamination?
Yes, the cell line has been tested and confirmed to be negative for
mycoplasma contamination.

CBP74201
Background
The SRE Reporter – HEK293 cell line is designed for monitoring the activity of the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway. The SRE Reporter –HEK293 cell line contains a firefly luciferase gene under the control of SRE responsive elements stably integrated into HEK293 cells, resulting in an ERK pathway-responsive reporter cell line.
