Troubleshooting Steps
-
While setting up the Deco system initially with ISP router, the internet connection type is not properly selected when configuring via the Deco app. In most cases, selecting “Dynamic IP” connection typ would fix it.
-
If setting up the Deco router directly with a ISP modem device, the PPPoE connection type settings
will mostly apply, customer will need to contact the ISP provider for broadband PPPoE username and
password details and make sure they are entered correctly on the Deco app during the deco configuration. -
For the best experience, when wireless, the Deco unit should be no more than 50 feet apart of at least another Deco. Depending on your home structure, this can vary.
-
If your house is designed with wired Ethernet, hardwiring your Deco’s is always an option. As we
know, the wired connection is more stable and faster than the wireless connection. Thus, to provide a fast and reliable Wi-Fi network to your room, the wired connection is a good choice if it’s available. -
Please refer this FAQ guide for further help in placing the Deco slave units: https://www.tplink.com/uk/support/faq/1446/
-
For devices not supporting Wi-Fi 6 standard, customer will need to firstly check whether their devices support Wi-Fi 6 standard. Also, please make sure the client devices, WLAN card drivers and software are up to date to work with our AX routers.
