Caution

Correct Memory Format:

Tonnlog V36 Digital Voice Audio Recorder - Format

  •  Before using the recorder for the first time, or after any memory card is inserted into the recorder for the first time, be sure to format it on the recorder menu, otherwise it may not work and record.
  •  Because its memory format only supports FAT32, once formatted in the recorder’s menu, any memory format will change to FAT32.
  • Do not format it on your computer, otherwise the memory formatting will be changed to something else, resulting in no work and no recording!

  1. Right channel audio input hole
  2. 3.5mm earphone jack: Only supports connecting earphones for listening to music or listening to recordings
  3. Lock button: This button locks all buttons from operation
  4. Reset button: If the situation of dead, reset by the button(Restore factory settings, not formatting, no file will be deleted)
  5. Menu button: Short press to enter main menu Long press to switch music/recording file(Recording and mp3 muisc files in separate folders )
  6. Delete button: Short press to delete files when in pause/stop mode, short press to repeat the A-B section when in play mode

  9. Stop / Return button: Return to previous level, stop playback, record save
  10. Power /Play/ Confirmation button: Short press to play/pause, ok Long press to power on/off Confirm that you must press the play button briefly to save the setting after entering and confirming each function
  11. Previous song: Short press to switch the previous song Long press to fast rewind(When playing)

2.1 Insert the TF memory card

  •  TF card format : only FAT32
  •  Supports up to 128GB TF memory card
  •  Please format the recorder in its menu before first use. But formatting the recorder on a computer is prohibited

2.2 Power on/off

No operation, by default:
After 30 seconds: Automatically turn off the screen
After 3 minutes: Automatically shut down

2.3 Access to menus

Short press: enter the menu
Long press: Switch music/recording file, Recording and mp3 muisc files in separate folders

  • Short press M to enter the menu settings, short press the key to save the changes, and then exit

2.4 Menu: Set language and date

Set language: Access to the menus, [System set]-[language] Set date: Access to the menus, [System set]-[Date and time] The recording files are named after the date and time of the recording

2.6 Start recording

  •  There is a default light when recording, you can turn it off in the [Menu-Record settings-Record led]
  • While recording, press the button to pause/resume recording

2.7 Save recordings

The recording file will be named with the date and time
When earphones are connected to the right-side circular jack, recording can be made in [Record source-Microphone] mode, but not in [Line in ]mode
When earphones are connected to the left-side  circular jack, recording is not available in [Record source-Line in] mode, and recording is not available in [Microphone] mode

2.8 Playback /Pause/OK

  • It supports playing audio in WAV/MP3/WMA/ OGG/APE/FLAC format
  •  Long press previous/next button to fast rewind/forward during playback

2.9 Delete one/Delete all

When a recording or mp3 file is paused/unplayed, short press the delete key, screen will display (delete one/delete all)
Note: Delete with caution, once deleted you cannot retrieve the file

2.10 Lock up/off

This button locks all buttons from operation

2.11 Playback via earphones

The right round hole: only supports connecting earphones for listening to music or listening to recordings

2.12 Line in/External Mic Recording

  •  To use the line in function, please enter the menu and set the [Record source] to: [Line in], then plug the 3.5mm audio cable into the left hole, and then turn on the recording
  •  Only the round hole on the left side supports: inserting a 3.5mm audio cable
  •  The audio cable must be purchased separately

2.13 A-B Repeat

  •  In playback mode of the recording or MP3 file, short press the button, repeat the A-B section
  •  Short press the button, as starting point A
  •  Short press the button again, as the end point B
  • At this point, the audio in the A-B range will be played repeatedly
  •  Short press the button to exit A-B repeat

2.14 Connect a computer

  • Before connecting, turn off the recorder. When  connect, please place it smoothly, no press anybuttons
  •  After connecting, the computer displays “USB DISK(G:)” to indicate the internal memory of the recorder, and “USB DISK(H:)” indicates the TF memory card
  •  Prohibit formatting the recorder on your computer
  •  If the connection to the computer fails? Please see the next page

2.15 If the connection to computer/phone fails?

  1. Before connecting the recorder to a computer/phone, turn off the recorder. When connect, please place the recorder smoothly, do not press any buttons
  2. Try to wait longer seconds (because the computer system and driver version by itself, the reading of large memory also takes a while)
  3.  Please use the original USB cable or a data cable that can be used to transfer data (some data cables can only be used for charging)
  4.  Restart the computer/phone or recorder
  5. If the cable in the package does not connect successfully, please connect with a different cable to rule out cable problems
  6. The computer lacks drivers causing it to not recognize any devices, please Google: download computer drivers
  7. MAC user: please replace the USB-C adapter
  • If you want higher card reading speed, please purchase a separate high-speed card reader

Q: How do I turn on voice activation?
A: Enter [AVR mode] , select [Voice activation mode] , select [ON] and save. Then turn on the recording with one button, then it will record in voice activation mode:
Record when there is sound, and pause when there is no sound or the sound is too low to save power and memory
Note:
Ø The default value of 3 in [ Set level of AVR ] is the optimal value for testing, do not change it
 | Ø After turning on voice activation, low decibel sounds may be missed, so please turn on this feature with caution

QA and issues (Must view!)

Q1: I found recordings when using the recorder for the first time?
Sorry. It is possible that the recording button was accidentally touched during the packaging or shipping of the product to make these recordings (time not calibrated). Please be assured that we only sell brand new products. This is the business principle we have
always insisted on. But we also fully understand the buyer’s feelings. you can contact us and we will help you.
Q2: Why is the actual storage space of this recorder not up to the advertised storage space?
All memory manufacturers produce memory according to 1000MB=1GB, while computers identify devices according to 1024MB=1GB.
Q3: Can’t shut down?

  1. When the recorder is charging, or connected to computer, it will not accept any instructions.(It’s normal)
  2. In other cases, switch on first, then press [Reset] button.

Q4: Format Error?

  1. The recordings time length is less than 5 seconds, like 0 second recordings file.
  2. The audio file format is not supported.
Problem Solution

Can’t find recording in the recorder?| 1. Long press “M” menu button to switch music to wav recording folder, when Recording and mp3 muisc files in separate folders
2. It may be a disk error, please check the recording file on computer
Unable to playback or Fast forward/|

  1. Audio files are not supported, please select: MP3/WMA/WAV/FLAC/APE/OGG format audio
  2. If playback fails on a windows

rewind?| computer, please use Windows Media Player for windows to play it
3. Fast forward/rewind can only be done during playback, but not during pause

Reduce noise| 1. Turn off [AVR mode-Voice activation mode] when not needed
2. Place the recorder smoothly to avoid friction with other objects, such as hands, clothing, etc
3. Away from sources of noise (e.g. air conditioning, typing, or subtle noise that may be generated by running computers)
4. Speak at least 30 cm away from the microphone of the recorder, otherwise it is easy to produce popping sound
5.  If the recording environment is very noisy, can not avoid the noise, please understand

Cautions
