Intended use
CAUTION
This heated-over blanket is only designed to warm up the human body.
Operation
Safety
CAUTION
- The heated-over blanket is fitted with the SAFETY SYSTEM. This electronic sensor technology protects against overheating across the entire surface of the heated blanket with an automatic switch-off if there is a fault.
- Please note that, for safety reasons, the heated-over blanket can no longer be operated after a fault has occurred and must be sent to the specified service address.
- Do not connect the defective heated-over blanket with another control of the same type. This would trigger a permanent switch-off via the control safety system.
Initial use
- First, connect the control to the heated-over blanket by inserting the plug-in coupling.
- Then plug the mains plug into the socket.
Switching on
To switch the heated-over blanket on, set the sliding switch for ON/OFF and
temperature settings to setting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6. When it is switched on,
the indicator lamp (4) lights up.
Setting the temperature
- Level 0: OFF
- Level 1: minimum heat
- Setting 2 – 5: individual heat setting
- Level 6: maximum heat
NOTE
The fastest way to warm up the heated blanket is to initially set the highest
temperature setting.
WARNING
If the heated overblanket is being used over several hours, we recommend that
you set the lowest temperature setting on the control to avoid the body
overheating and thereby any potential burns to the skin or heat stroke.
Automatic switch-off
This heated overblanket switches off automatically after 3 hours. Once the
heated overblanket has switched off, it is no longer heated and the indicator
lamp flashes. To switch on the heated overblanket again, first set the sliding
switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings to the OFF ( 0 ) position for 5
seconds. After about 5 seconds it is possible to switch it on again.
Switching off
To switch off the heated overblanket, slide the sliding switch for ON/OFF and
temperature settings to the OFF ( 0 ) position.
NOTE
If the heated overblanket is not been used for several days, slide the sliding
switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings to the OFF ( 0 ) position and
remove the mains plug from the socket. Then disconnect the control from the
heated overblanket by unplugging the plug-in coupling.
Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING
Before cleaning, always remove the main plug from the socket first. Then
disconnect the control from the heated overblanket by unplugging the plug-in
coupling. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
CAUTION
The control must never come into contact with water or other liquids, as this
may cause damage.
- To clean the control, use a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Small marks on the heated over blanket can be removed with a damp cloth or sponge and, if necessary, with a little liquid detergent for delicate laundry.
CAUTION
Please note that the heated-over blanket may not be chemically cleaned, wrung
out, tumble-dried, put through a mangle or ironed.
- This heated overblanket is machine-washable.
- Set the washing machine to a particularly gentle wash cycle at 30 °C (wool cycle). Use a delicate laundry detergent and measure it out according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
CAUTION
Please note that frequent washing of the heated-over blanket hurts the
product. The heated overblanket should therefore be washed in a washing
machine a maximum of 5 times during its life.
- Immediately after washing, reshape the heated-over blanket to its original dimensions while it is still wet and spread it out flat over a clothes horse to dry.
CAUTION
- Do not use pegs or similar items to attach the heated overblanket to the clotheshorse. Failure to do so may damage the heated-over blanket.
- Do not reconnect the control to the heated overblanket until the plug-in connector and electric overblanket are completely dry. Failure to do so may damage the heated-over blanket.
WARNING
Never switch the heated-over blanket on to dry it! Otherwise, there is a risk
of electric shock.
Storage
If you do not plan to use the heated blanket for a long period, we recommend that you store it in the original packaging. For this purpose, disconnect the control from the heated-over blanket by unplugging the plug-in coupling.
CAUTION
- Allow the heated-over blanket to cool down before folding. Otherwise, the heated overblanket may be damaged.
- Do not crease the heated-over blanket by placing items on top of it during storage.
Disposal
For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in the household waste at the end of its useful life. Dispose of the unit at a suitable local collection or recycling point. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
