INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

CAUTION: To avoid pinching, DO NOT lean on the massage mechanism in the cushion when adjusting your body position.

DO NOT jam or force any part of your body into the moving massage mechanism.

NOTE: For your safety, this unit is equipped with a 15-minute auto- shutoff feature.

  1. Insert the adapter jack into the cushion, then insert the power cord into a 120-volt AC outlet.
  2. The cushion attaches to most chairs. See page 6 for instructions on the use of the hand control.

This cushion provides multiple user experiences. Whether you are looking to sit up, lean back, or lie down, this massage cushion is suited to support your changing needs. This cushion offers a customizable experience using SmartScan technology. SmartScan scans the length of your head and neck to detect proper alignment. This 5-10-second scan stops at shoulder level and adjusts to the height of your neck for a completely tailored massage. Ideal for those as tall as 6’7″.

  • USE SITTING UP
To use sitting up, fasten the straps to secure the cushion in place on your chair, couch, or seat.

  • USE LEANING BACK
To use leaning back, place the massage cushion on the surface of your choice and lean back on the cushion.

  • USE LYING DOWN
This massage cushion provides a unique air cushion feature, allowing you to safely and comfortably lie down on the cushion. Place it on the floor, couch, or horizontal surface, and extend the massage cushion until it is flat.

  • STRAPPING SYSTEM
The cushion incorporates a unique strapping system that allows you to fasten it to almost any chair. Just slip the straps over the seat or chair, and adjust fastening straps to secure.

MAINTENANCE

  • TO STORE
Place the massager in its box or in a cool, dry place. Avoid contact with sharp edges or pointed objects that might cut or puncture the fabric surface. To avoid breakage, DO NOT wrap the power cord around the unit. DO NOT hang the unit by the hand control cord.

  • TO CLEAN
Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a soft, slightly damp sponge. NEVER allow water or any other liquids to come into contact with the unit.

    • DO NOT immerse in any liquid to clean.
    • NEVER use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene, glass/furniture polish, or paint thinner to clean.
    • DO NOT attempt to repair the cushion. There are no user-serviceable parts. For service, contact Consumer Relations at the telephone number listed in the Warranty section.

NOTE: NOT recommended for use on wooden surfaces as the zipper may damage the wood. Caution is also recommended when using on upholstered furniture.

NOTE: Only gentle force should be exerted against the unit in order to eliminate any/all risk of injury. You may soften massage force by placing a towel between you and the unit.

NOTE: The neck massage cover is removable. Hand wash and line dry.

  • POWER
To turn on the massage functions, press the power button. The LED indicator will illuminate and you can confirm your selection. To turn off the massage functions, press the button again.

  • NECK MASSAGE
To turn on the neck massage, press the neck button, and the neck mechanism will automatically scan and adjust to your height. If you want to further adjust the placement, use the up and down arrows below the button. The massage mechanism automatically reverses the massage direction, just like the hands of a masseuse.

  • AIR CUSHION
The air cushion only functions when the back massage function is not in use. To inflate or deflate the cushion, use the up and down arrows to set your desired inflation. The air cushion inflates to stretch back muscles for improved flexibility. The air cushion also provides lumbar support when you are sitting on the cushion without the back massage function.

  • VIBRATION
To add seat vibration, press the vibration button once. To turn it off, press the button again. Vibration waves improve circulation and loosen tight muscles. To toggle between the three vibration intensities, press the vibration button.

  • HEAT
This massage cushion is equipped with heat in the neck and back. For soothing heat, when the message is on, press the heat button and the corresponding red LED light will illuminate. To deselect, press the button again and the corresponding LED will turn off. For your safety, heat cannot be turned on if a massage program is not selected.

  • BACK MASSAGE
To turn on the back massage, press the back button. The cushion is equipped with zone control. The massage will begin in full back mode. Press the button a second time to focus the massage on your mid to lower back. Press the button a third time to focus on your mid to upper back. Pressing the button a fourth time will turn off the back massage.

  • SPOT MASSAGE
While the back massage function is on, press either spot massage arrow to stop and focus the shiatsu action in one place. Once the unit is operating in spot shiatsu, you may adjust the mechanism position by holding down either arrow until the desired position is reached.

  • SPEED
To increase the massage speed, press the speed button to toggle from low to high speed. A light will illuminate to indicate the speed the unit is currently on. The massage will be gentle at low speed and more intense at high speed.
NOTE: When the power button is pressed for first-time use, the moving mechanism will automatically move to the lowest position before starting a massage program. After initial use, the mechanism will always park at the lowest position. See the note below regarding parking.
NOTE: The moving massage mechanism always “parks” or finishes in its lowest position. It continues to this position after the power has been turned off. If the electrical supply is interrupted, when power is restored, the mechanism will “park” or move to its lowest position.
