IMPORTANT NOTICE

  • Before installing and using the Panta Safe Light, please read all instructions carefully and retain for future reference.
  • DO NOT position the Panta Safe Light in a location that is constantly exposed to water. The lamp is watertight, but continuous exposure can cause water to seep into the device.
  • Discontinue use of the Panta Safe Light if it is damaged.
  • The product is not suitable for room lighting in the home.
  • Keep small parts out of the reach of children – risk of swallowing.
  • The product is not a toy – keep out of reach of children.
  • This appliance may be used by children above the age of 8 years, by persons of reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or by persons with insufficient experience or knowledge, provided they are supervised or have received instruction in the safe use of the appliance and understand the associated risks. Extreme caution is advised when using the device near children and when leaving it unattended. It must be ensured that children do not play with the appliance. Use caution when using close to eyes.
  • Take care that the skin, eyes and mucous membranes never come into contact with battery fluid/acid. In case of contact with battery fluid, immediately rinse affected areas with plenty of clean water and consult a physician.

SETUP

INSTALLING BATTERIES

CAUTION : Only use 1.5V batteries Never mix old and new batteries. Never mix alkaline batteries with normal (zinc-carbon) batteries or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Never tamper with batteries. Insert the batteries in the battery compartment according to the polarity markings. Do not insert the batteries in the opposite direction to the markings. Correctly dispose of batteries.

  1. Turn the front of the device anti-clockwise until it is in the unlocked position.
  2. Pull the front completely out of the base to expose the battery compartment.
  3. Press both locking tabs and remove the battery compartment cover.
  4. Insert 4 x 1.5V batteries as shown (batteries not included). Close the cover by placing the locking tabs flush and pressing down until you hear a click.
  5. Place the front of the device back in the base, making sure that the front side is flush with the device. Twist the device clockwise until it is closed.

NOTE : The Panta Safe Light has a twilight sensor which ensures that the light is only on in the dark. Be sure to test the Panta Safe Light in a dark area, such as in a cupboard, before mounting it, to be certain that the batteries are correctly installed.

  1. Remove the base by turning the rotating bolt on the mounting base anti-clockwise.
  2. Select the mounting location and mark where the holes should be drilled with a pencil. Then drill the holes in the marked areas and insert the dowels.
  3. Use a screwdriver to screw the supplied screws through the holes in the base into the anchors. Make sure the base is firmly attached.
  4. Return the Panta Safe Light to the mounting base. Adjust direction of light by using 360˚ Swivel Twist lock – turn left to loosen, turn right to tighten.

REPLACING BATTERIES AFTER INSTALLATION
Changing batteries after the Panta Safe Light has been installed is easy – you do not need to remove entire mounting base. When light is dull or no longer active, simply remove the Panta Safe Light from the mounting base by turning the screw cap on the mounting base. Twist lock and follow instructions as directed in „INSTALLING BATTERIES“.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE PANTA SAFE LIGHT

  • The Panta Safe Light will only activate in darkness.
  • Motion within 10 metres will cause the Panta Safe Light to turn on.
  • The Panta Safe Light will remain on for 20 seconds after motion is detected, then automatically turn off.
