User Guide for the Kinderfeets® Boules
03657 Boules Wooden Set
Please read the entire guide before using your Kinderfeets product.
This classic game challenges hand-eye coordination, problem-solving ability,
and fine motor strength through social play. Play with a companion or on a
team. Recommended for ages 3 years and up. Enjoy the game both indoors and
outside, but always store inside after use to maintain quality.
How to play
Up to 8 players can play—as singles or divided into teams
- Pick a suitable playing field that is fairly flat and open, and establish a throwing point.
- Divide the 8 colored boules amongst players or teams. Each player/team uses the same color boules throughout the game.
- A player starts the round by tossing the small target ball into the playing field.
- Players take turns throwing or rolling their colored boules toward the target ball—aiming to get as close as possible—until all boules are in the field.
- At the end of the round, the player with the boule closest to the target wins the round and scores points.
- The winner (or loser) of the round may start the next round.
- The first player/team that reaches 13 points wins!
Scoring:
- The player/team with the boule that is closest to the target ball at the end of the round is awarded 1 point.
- For each additional boule they have closer to target than the opponent’s closest boule, they are awarded another point. Other players/teams are not awarded points.
- To speed up the game: Scoring can be adjusted so 3 to 4 of the closest boules by any player at the end of the round are scored, so more than 1 player may earn points. Or the points are based on the boule’s distance to the target—closest boule earns higher points than the others.
Tips:
- Younger or smaller children may use a modified throwing point.
- Pick the starting player by coin toss or another creative method!
- Try playing on different surfaces such as carpet, grass, soil, sand, or gravel!
WARNING! Children should be supervised by an adult while playing. Never
use this toy near stairs or swimming pools, on public roads, hills, unstable
surfaces, or in areas with traffic.
Precautions: Before using your Kinderfeets toy, please check that it is
undamaged and all parts are complete. Check it regularly for signs of wear,
cracking, damages or defects. A damaged toy should no longer be used. Clean
your Kinderfeets toy using a mild cleaning agent, clean water and soft cloth.
Always store your Kinderfeets toy indoors in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated
location–especially in a tropical or subtropical climate, or any location
subject to high humidity and/or high rainfall. Do not store it in a location
where water condensation can build up overnight (such as in a shed or on a
balcony outside); or in an area with high humidity (such as a bathroom or
laundry room with a condensation dryer).
Limited warranty
Kinderfeets guarantees that its products will be free from manufacturing
defects for one year from the date of purchase. You must submit an ORIGINAL
copy of the proof of purchase for repairs or exchanges. This warranty and
Kinderfeets’s obligations are restricted to the repair or replacement of
products with certified defects occurring within the warranty period. This
warranty does not apply to damages caused by weather (including but not
limited to wind, rain, dew, or water condensation), improper use, accidents,
improper storage (including storage in high humidity areas), and normal wear
and tear caused by normal use.
Kinderfeets is not liable for accidents or subsequent damages resulting
directly or indirectly from the use of its products. The purchaser and user
bear all risks associated with using this toy. This includes physical injury
and/or death. Adult supervisors are responsible for ensuring that appropriate
safety measures are taken. Kinderfeets will not be liable for personal injury
or property damage under any circumstances. To use a Kinderfeets product, you
must agree with the above guidelines.
