SHOULD I ACTIVATE ATHLETE MODE?
Activate Athlete Mode if you exercise at least 10 hours per week and have been doing so consistently for the last 6 months, or longer.

MEASURING BODY WEIGHT & BODY COMPOSITION

  • To use the scale, stand still on the center of the platform with clean and dry bare feet touching each of the metal foot placers. After a few seconds the scale will display your weight.

  • Next, the scale will automatically select your user profile and calculate your body composition while an “o” scrolls across the display

  • Finally, the scale will display your current body composition measurements. You may now step off the scale. The scale will cycle through your weight, body fat, body water, muscle mass, and bone density measurements three times before turning off.

Note : The scale will automatically select your user profile to calculate your body composition by comparing your current body weight measurement to previous body weight measurements from each user profile. If your current body weight changes by more than 7 pounds from your previous measurement, or if your body weight is within 7 pounds of another user profile, then you will need to manually select your user profile number with the corresponding LEFT or RIGHT arrow buttons before the scale will display your current body composition.

HOW DOES THE SCALE MEASURE BODY COMPOSITION?
This scale uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) technology to measure body composition. BIA technology sends an unperceivable electronic signal through your body to calculate your body fat, body water, and muscle mass percentages. Do not use this scale if you have a pacemaker or other internal electronic medical device.

HOW DO I GET THE MOST ACCURATE RESULTS?
Hydration levels fluctuate throughout the day and are affected by eating, drinking, and exercise. As a result, for maximum accuracy and repeatability, it is recommended that this scale is used at the same time of day under the same conditions to establish a personal average. These readings are a close indication, and not an exact value. Please consult your doctor for more information.

MEASUREMENTS DURING WEIGHT LOSS
During weight loss, body fat percentages may not change as expected since the reading is a percentage of body fat compared to body weight, and both could be changing at the same time. To minimize the loss of lean body tissue, be sure to include exercise in your weight loss plan
