CATLER RECOMMENDS SAFETY FIRST
We understand the importance of safety and so from the initial design concept to production itself we focus primarily on your safety. Nevertheless, please be careful and follow the instructions below when using the plate warmer.
- This appliance is not to be used by children. Keep this appliance and its power cord out of children.
- Appliances may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and understand the potential hazards.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and maintenance performed by the user must not be performed by children.
- If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced in a professional service centre in order to prevent a dangerous situation. It is forbidden to use the appliance with the power cord damaged.
WARNING : Improper use may result in possible injury. Pay attention when handling the cutting blades, especially when removing the blades from the container, emptying the container and during cleaning.

Clean the parts of the appliance that come into contact with food according to the instructions in this manual. Wash the cups, blades unit and lids in warm water with a little dishwashing liquid. Rinse and wipe dry.

Always disconnect the appliance from the power socket if you are leaving it unattended as well as before

assembly, disassembly or cleaning.

Before replacing the accessories or accessible movable parts, please turn the appliance off and disconnect it from the power supply.

Before plugging the power cord plug into the mains socket, make sure that the voltage on the type plate matches the voltage in your mains socket.

Remove packaging material and advertising labels before use.

This appliance is designed to process common household foods. Do not use it for any purpose other than that for which it is intended in an industrial or laboratory environment.

Do not place the appliance on window sills, draining board or unstable surfaces, or place it on an electric or gas stove or near an open flame or another heat source. Place the appliance only on a dry, clean and stable surface where it cannot be knocked over.

Only use the appliance with original accessories from the manufacturer.

Make sure the power cord does not hang over the edge of a table or that it does not touch a hot surface.

Before starting the appliance, make sure that the appliance is correctly assembled and the lid is properly fitted.

Always observe the maximum level line when filling the container with food. Do not exceed the maximum amount. There is a risk of engine damage and ingredients spillage. It would also reduce the performance of the appliance. The processed ingredients gain volume during processing.

Do not operate your blender continuously with large batches for longer than 1 minute. Allow the motor to rest for at least 2 minute between each use.

If the food gets stuck around the blades unit, press the On / Off button to turn the blender off and wait until the knife unit has come to a complete stop. Then, unplug the power cord from the socket and use a spoon or a spatula to remove the food from the blades unit. Never use your fingers because the blades are very sharp.

Keep your hands, fingers, garments, spoons and other kitchenware out of the appliance during operation. Before removing the lid, always turn the appliance off and unplug the power cord from the socket and wait until the blades have stopped. Avoid contact with moving parts.

During operation, do not remove the container from the body.

No part of the appliance is intended for use in a microwave oven.

Do not mix carbonated drinks. This may lead to their damage.

Do not put any part of the appliance in a gas, electric or microwave oven or on a hot gas or electric range.

A connected power outlet must be easily accessible for possible sudden disconnection.

Do not use this appliance with a programmable switch, timer switch or any other device that automatically switches the appliance on.

Do not use the appliance near water sources like a kitchen sink, bathroom, swimming pool etc.

Never touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.

Always wait until the rotating parts come to a complete stop.

If the appliance is in operation, do not leave it unattended.

When handling the blades unit, be very careful not to get injured with their edge. The
blades unit is very sharp. -
Do not turn the appliance on without load. It is in danger of overheating.

Do not use the appliance with a damaged blades unit, a cooking spoon or any other
foreign object inside the pot. -
Do not process boiling or hot ingredients. Do not expose the appliance and its parts to extreme temperatures, e.g. do not pour hot liquids into a cold container.

Avoid spilling water or other fluid onto the mains cord and plug.

Do not use rough abrasive or caustic detergents to clean the appliance.

Keep your appliance clean. Follow the cleaning instructions provided in this user’s manual.

Do not store or use any explosive and/or flammable substances inside or in the vicinity of this appliance, such as flammable gas sprays.

To disconnect the appliance from the power outlet, always hold the cord plug, not the cord itself while pulling.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
- Fully unwind the power cord before use.
- Do not leave the power cord hanging over the edge of a table or countertop or allow it to touch a hot surface or to become tangled up. Do not put heavy objects on the power cord.
- For safety reasons, we recommend to connect the appliance in an independent electrical circuit separated from other appliances. Do not use adapter plugs or extension cords to connect the appliance to a power outlet.
- To prevent electric shock, do not immerse the appliance, its base or the power cord in water or other liquids.
- We recommend that you check your appliance regularly. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged in any way or if the power cord or plug is defective. All repairs or adjustments must be performed at the nearest Catler authorised service centre.
- Any maintenance other than standard cleaning must be performed at authorised Catler service centre.
- We recommend to install a residual current device (standard safety switches in your power outlet) to provide a higher level of protection when using the appliance. We recommend to install a residual current device (with a nominal residual operating current of no more than 30mA) in the electric circuit in which your appliance is to be connected. For further expert advise, please contact your electrician.

This symbol indicates that the appliance has double insulation between the dangerous mains voltage and the parts accessible to the user. In the case of servicing, use only identical spare parts.

OPERATING YOUR TABLE BLENDER TB 820
BEFORE FIRST USE
Before first use, remove all packaging and advertising labels / stickers from the 0appliance.
Check the appliance and all the accessories for damage. Never use a damaged appliance and/or appliance with damaged accessories, damaged power cord or plug.
Wipe the motor base with a soft sponge slightly moistened in warm water.
Before using for the fi rst time, rinse the glass and stainless steel container with warm water and carefully wipe dry with a clean cloth or allow to dry freely. Do not immerse containers in water.
Wash both lids and the measuring cup in warm water with a little kitchen detergent, rinse and wipe dry
WARNING! BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN HANDLING THE BLADES UNIT. THE BLADES ARE
VERY SHARP.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURIES OR AMPUTATION, NEVER INSERT YOUR FINGERS OR HANDS
IN THE BLENDING BEAKER WHILE THE BLENDER IS IN OPERATION.
BLENDER COMPOSITION
- Place the blender base on stable, firm and clean surface. Push down slightly on the base to press the non-slip feet against the worktop.
- The base is equipped with switches that prevent the blender from starting if the glass or stainless steel container is not properly secured in the base. Also, if the container is released from the switches, the blender stops running.
- Insert the glass or stainless steel container into the base so that the protrusions at the bottom fi t into the switches. Then turn clockwise until you feel resistance and a short click. The handle of the container should point to the right.
- Place the ingredients that you wish to process into the jar. Always observe the maximum level line.
- Fit the lid of the glass container onto the glass container so that the protrusions on the glass container are aligned with the cut-outs on the lid. Turn the lid clockwise until you feel resistance. When putting it on, make sure that the half-round protrusion covers the spout of the glass container in the front part.
- Insert the measuring cup into the glass lid and turn it clockwise to secure it in the lid.
- Fit the lid of the stainless steel container so that one of the outer protrusions on the lid is aligned with the switch in the handle of the stainless steel container. Turn the lid clockwise until the protrusion fits into the switch. Rotate the lid with reasonable force, as it may be diffi cult to put the lid on initially
- The blender is all set now.
WARNING! THE BLENDER WILL NOT START UNLESS IT IS ASSEMBLED CORRECTLY.
Remark :
To disassemble, perform the procedure in reverse order.
USE
Make sure the blender is assembled correctly and the ingredients you want to
process are in the container. Make sure the rotary control is in the OFF
position.
- Insert the mains cord plug into a power socket.
- Turn the rotary control to the ON position and the buttons will light up.
- Turn the rotary control to the MIN position and the blender will start at the lowest speed. The rotary control will light up.
- Turn the rotary control clockwise to continuously increase the speed up to the MAX position (highest speed).
- Once the food is processed, turn the control to the OFF position, wait for the blades unit to come to a complete stop and unplug the power plug from the mains socket.
- If you need to check the status of the ingredients being processed, turn the control to the OFF position, wait for the blades unit to come to a complete stop and unplug the power plug from the mains socket. Carefully remove the lid and check the condition of the ingredients. Then continue processing.
- If you need to add ingredients to the glass container, reduce the speed to MIN and carefully remove the measuring cup. Through the opening in the lid you will be able to add the ingredients. Then put the measuring cup back on and secure. Adjust the speed as needed.
- If you need to add ingredients to the stainless steel container, turn the control to the OFF position, wait for the blades unit to come to a complete stop, and unplug the power plug from the mains socket. Pull the rubber lock in the lid to release any vacuum that may build up in the container, especially if you are preparing hot ingredients. Remove the lid and add the ingredients. Then put the lid back on and continue processing.
WARNING! BEFORE TURNING THE BLENDER ON, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE LID IS SECURELY ATTACHED ON THE CONTAINER. OTHERWISE, FOOD MIGHT SPRING OUT WHEN THE BLENDER IN TURNED ON.
Remark:
If food gets stuck around the knife unit, turn the control to OFF position and wait until the blades unit comes to a complete stop. Then, unplug the power cord from the socket and use a spoon or a spatula to remove the food. Never use your fingers or hands because the blades are very sharp.
PULSE Function
The PULSE function is used for fast processing of raw materials in short interval at maximum speed.
Turn the rotary control to the ON position. Press and hold the PULSE button. The blender will start. When you release the button, the blender stops.
Crunch Ice
Place ice cubes (maximum 8 cubes with a 2 cm edge) in a glass container. Turn the rotary control to the ON position. Press the ICE CRUSHING button and the blender will start at the preset speed.
Once the ice is chopped to your requirements, press the ICE CRUSHING button again and the blender will stop. The maximum ice crushing time is 60 seconds. The blender then switches off automatically.
SMOOTHIE function
Place the ingredients for the smoothie in the container.Turn the rotary control to the ON position. Press the SMOOTHIE button and the blender will start at the preset speed.
Once the ingredients are processed to your requirements, press the SMOOTHIE button again and the blender will stop.
The maximum time of the SMOOTHIE function is 60 seconds. The blender then switches off automatically.
WARNING! DO NOT BLEND BOILING OR HOT FOODS.
THIS MAY LEAD TO UNDERPRESSURE CREATION INSIDE THE BEAKER, CAUSING THE CONTENT TO SPRING OUT WHEN OPENING THE LID. OTHERWISE, BURNS MIGHT OCCUR. ALWAYS ALLOW THE FOOD TO COOL DOWN TO 45°C.
NEVER TURN THE BLENDER ON IF THE LID OR THE MEASURING CUP IS NOT ATTACH.
Safety Thermal Fuse
Your blender is equipped with safety thermal fuse to protect the motor from damage. If you put excessive load on the blender, such as processing a higher amount of raw materials for a prolonged period of time, automatic safety thermal fuse will trip to stop the motor. In such case, turn the blender off by the main switch and unplug the mains cord from the power outlet. Allow the blender to cool down for about 15 minutes. Then insert the power plug into a power outlet and turn the blender on. If the blender malfunctions, stop using it and contact your authorized Catler service centre.
Food Making Tips and Techniques
Cut the food into same-sized pieces of approx. 2.5 cm. This will speed up the preparation process.
Pour the liquids first, then add solid raw materials.
Always observe the maximum line when inserting ingredients. If you need to process bigger amounts of food, always separate them to smaller portions.
NEVER mix any the following food in the blender: bones, large pieces of frozen food, thick and hard food, kernels, stones etc. Otherwise, the blender might get irreparably damaged.
The stainless steel container is suitable for mixing baby food, smaller amounts of ingredients, chopping nuts, herbs, etc.
WARNING! FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED IN THIS USER’S MANUAL. OTHERWISE, THE BLENDER MIGHT GET DAMAGED, LEADING TO PROPERTY DAMAGE OR PERSONAL INJURIES.
WARNING! DO NOT PROCESS DRY FOOD WITHOUT LIQUIDS. THIS BLENDER IS NOT DESIGNED TO PROCESS DRY FOOD ONLY.
CARE AND CLEANING
Before cleaning the appliance, always disconnect the plug of the power cord from the mains socket and let it to cool down properly.
It is necessary to clean the blender immediately after each use to prevent possible drying of food residues in the beaker, on the blades unit, lid or inside the measuring cup. Regular maintenance will prolong the lifetime of your blender.
WARNING! DO NOT WASH THE APPLIANCE, MAINS CORD AND PLUG UNDER RUNNING WATER AND DO NOT IMMERSE IT IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
Disassembling the Mixer
- Unplug the power cord from the mains outlet and wait until blades unit has come to a complete stop.
- Turn the container counterclockwise to release it from the base switches and carefully remove it from the blender base.
- Carefully remove the lid.
- The lid of the stainless steel container is fitted with a rubber lock, which you pull to release any vacuum that may build up in the container, especially if you are preparing hot ingredients.
WARNING! BE CAREFUL WHILE HANDLING THE CONTAINER WITH HOT INGREDIENTS INSIDE. CAREFULLY REMOVE THE LID AS HOT STEAM MAY ESCAPE WHILE OPENING. THERE IS A DANGER OF A BURNS.
Cleaning the Lids and the Measuring Cup
Wash the lids and the measuring cup under warm running water after use to remove the dirt.
For a more thorough cleaning, wash them in warm water with a little dishwashing liquid. Rinse and wipe dry.
Cleaning the Containers
Rinse used containers with warm water to remove dirt.
Pour about 500 ml of warm water with a little dishwashing liquid into the container. Attach the lid and then attach the assembly on the blender base.
Turn the rotary control to the ON position and set the highest speed, or press the PULSE button to remove debris around the blades unit.
Rinse the beaker out in clean water then and wipe dry.
Handle the container with care. Do not expose the beaker to extreme temperatures, pressure etc.
You can also use a kitchen brush to clean the blades unit.
WARNING! BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN HANDLING THE BLADES UNIT. THE BLADES ARE VERY SHARP.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURIES OR AMPUTATION, NEVER INSERT YOUR FINGERS OR HANDS IN THE BLENDING BEAKER WHILE THE BLENDER IS IN OPERATION.
Warning:
For cleaning, do not use sharp objects, chemicals, thinners, dissolvents, petrol or other similar substances. Never clean your table blender with a steam appliance.
STORAGE
Before storing, make sure that all parts are clean and dry. Store your blender in a horizontal position in a dry and well-ventilated place. Do not place any objects on your blender. Always make sure that the blades unit is stored out of children’s reach.
INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION ON DISPOSING OF USED PACKAGING MATERIALS
Dispose of used packaging material at a site designated for waste in your municipality.
DISPOSING OF USED ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
This symbol on products or original documents means that used electric or electronic products must not be added to ordinary municipal waste. For proper disposal and recycling, take these products to designated collection points. Or in some European Union states or other European countries the products can be returned to the local retailer when buying an equivalent new product.
