WARNING! This is NOT a safety cover to help prevent drowning.

WARNING! Do NOT walk or stand on cover or ice that may form on the cover.

WARNING! Ensure there is no access to the pool once the cover is installed.

IMPORTANT: Ensure there are no sharp edges present that may rip the cover prior to installing the cover.

IMPORTANT: Ensure proper winterization of the pool and its equipment is completed prior to installing the cover.

Above Ground Pools

  1. Ensure the air pillow is secured to the sides of the pool so that it stays in the middle of the pool, leaving some slack in the pillow ties to allow for some movement.

  2. Weave the cable through the eyelets of the cover in an over/under pattern as shown (Fig. 1).

  3. Ensure any sharp edges are covered to protect the winter cover (Ex. use masking tape).

  4. Guide the cover over the pool so that it overhangs all sides of the pool evenly (about 12″).

  5. Feed the two ends of the cable through the winch, one cable on each side (L and R) and then through the center hole (C) as shown, one through the top and one through the bottom of (C) (Fig. 2).

  6. Pull each end of the cable to tighten against the sides of the pool and then rotate the winch handle in a clockwise direction to firmly hold the cable and cover in place.

  7. Do NOT pull the cover tightly, allow it to hang around the center pillow as shown (Fig. 3).

NOTE: The locking clip will hold the winch in the tightened position. If cable needs to be loosened, turn the handle clockwise 1/4 turn and lift the locking clip to unravel the coiled cable.

In Ground Pools

  1. Ensure the air pillow is secured to the sides of the pool so that it stays in the middle of the pool, leaving some slack in the pillow ties to allow for some movement.
  2. Ensure any sharp edges are covered to protect the winter cover (Ex. use masking tape).
  3. Guide the cover over the pool so that it overhangs onto the pool deck on all sides of the pool evenly (about 2′).
  4. Insert empty water bags into the sleeves of the cover.
  5. Fill the water bags about 2/3 full to secure the cover.

Warranty

SPQ warrants the cover to be free from manufacturer defects. Inspect thoroughly before installation and install the cover with care. Tears, punctures, abrasions, dislodged eyelets or rips due to improper installation, environmental conditions, Acts of God or improper handling is not covered by this warranty.
This warranty is provided to the original owner from the date of purchase for a length of 8 years. This prorated warranty is nontransferable. The following schedule illustrates the percentage of the cover cost that the owner is responsible for based on the date of the claim and purchase date. The MSRP at the time of the claim is used to calculate the prorated amount.

The above warranty is the only warranty provided to the end use, no other warranties provided by the seller of the product will be granted by SPQ Brands. SPQ is not responsible for any losses such as water, chemicals, labor or other during the use of this product.
