Introduction

The high-density KVM switch allows IT managers to access and control up to 32 servers from a single KVM console. The unique and powerful functional design allows managers to easily and simply control and maintain the computer room and large data center. Under the state of 1920*1080, the distance of the server can be extended to 50m. The high-density KVM switch can help companies save time, space and cost, and is an ideal solution for small and medium enterprises to provic the most economic benefits.

  3. Support a local control terminal and a CAT5 extension control terminal.

  6. CAT5 network interface, a single KVM can control 8/16/32 servers, computers or hard disk video recorders, suitable for managing high-density server cabinets.
  7. Remote access sup ports various resolution modes, up to 1920×1080@60Hz
  8. Each port has independent brightness and contrast adjustment.
  9. Support automatic scanning, the default scanning time is 5 seconds.
  10. The connection cable between PC module and KVM is within 0-100 meters, and the best effect is 50 meters.

Interface Description

  1. 00~9,10+,20+,30+: Used for port switching.
  2. SCAN : When the OSD main menu is closed, enter the automatic scan.
  3. BENT ER : Used to adjust brightness and contrast. After adjusting the brightness or contrast, press this key to save and exit the corresponding OSD display bar.
  4. Brightness adjustment/digital reduction. After entering the adjustment state, click each time to decrease by 1, long press to enter rapid decrease. If you do not operate for a long time under the brightness display bar, KVM will automat ically exit the adjustment state and restore the previous value
  5. Contrast adjustment/digital reduction. After entering the adjustment state, click each time to decrease by 1, long press to enter rapid decrease. If you do not operate for a long time under the contrast display bar, KVM will automatically exit the adjustment state and restore the previous value.

\(3\) Hot-key Commands
In addition to the panel buttons, KVM can also be used to switch ports through a simple keyboard combination. You only need to press the HOME/Caps/Scroll/Num key twice within 2 seconds to send commands to KVM, and then you will hear A “beep” that you can use the hot-key commands. This product has multiple modes to choose. [HOME] + [HOME] is the default mode of the product. You can choose other command modes when you don’t want to use this mode. The following is to set different hot-key modes.

If you want to use Caps mode, please press [HOME] + [HOME] +Caps first, then enter Caps mode and so on.

\(6\) OSD Menu Operation
The hot-key function can also be implemented in the OSD. Select a hot-key port from the OSD menu and press the following operations: [HOME]+[HOME]+[Enter] to activate the OSD menu

  • Depending on the selected user, the red characters will be automatically modified.
  • Number of 8 means 8-port KVM Number of 16 means 16-port KVM

SYSTEM01 Indicates the current port

Show auto scan on corresponding port

Indicates the communication status between the corresponding port TX and the host USB, and green indicates that the corresponding port host and USB communication are normal. The cursor can be moved with the arrow keys on the keyboard or remote control. The port where the cursor is located can be confirmed by pressing the keyboard [enter] or the remote control [OK].

  • Menu setting
    F1, F2, F3, F4, F6, ESC should be operated on the keyboard.

  • F1: Modify name When changing the name, the remote control can only input 0-9 numbers. If you need to enter letters, you must use the keyboard to enter them.

  • F2: Set the port to be scanned Set AutoScan Mode with F3, press F2 in the TAG option to turn on or off the scan, and the mark “T” is shown in Figure 2:MT-VIKI-CAT6-8-Port-Integrated-High-Density-KVM-Switch- \(13\)

  • F3 : Enter the system settings as shown in Figure 3 MT-VIKI-CAT6-8-Port-Integrated-High-Density-KVM-Switch- \(14\)

Setting method
Under the current option, press ENTER to set.

  1. Buzzer: Turn on or off the buzzer sound.
    • On : turn on the buzzer sound
    • Off : Turn off the buzzer sound
  2. Brightness Adust: adjust brightness
  3. Contrast Adust : adjust contrast
  4. AutoScan Mode : Auto Scan Mode
    • FREE: Scan all ports
    • CONN : option means only scan the PC connected to USB
    • TAG : Only scan ports with “T” logo, and use it with F2
  5. AutoScan Interval: Scan the dwell time of each port, the default is 5 seconds
  6. Banner Interval: When switching ports, it displays the time the window stays
  7. Adj OSD Position: Adjust the position of the OSD window, press Enter, and then press the up, down, left, and right keys on the keyboard to adjust. To exit, please press ESC on the keyboard.
    • BAR: Adjust the display position of the port prompt banner
    • MAIN: Adjust the display position of the OSD menu
    • BRI: Adjust the display position of contrast and brightness
  8. Plugin Mode: Select hot plug automatic switching function
    • NO : There is no automatic switching function for hot swap.
    • ALL : It means that every time a USB device is inserted (a device with a 5V input in the USB port), it will automatically switch to the port just inserted, with priority. ONCE: There is only one automatic switching action when hot plugging.
  9. Factory Default: Restore factory settings, the functions that have been set are restored to factory defaults.
    • F4 : Enter automatic scan
    • F7 Security : Tosettoopenorcloseusermanagement

To enter this feature, you need to press F3 and then F7. The finger character indicates the current status. As shown in Figure 4

  • Yes: Open the management user settings. At this time, power off or reset requires a password to enter.
  • No : Close the management user settings, no password is required to enter.

  • F5 to view the current password. As shown in the figure above, move the cursor on ADMIN, press F5 to display the default password of the first user is 000000.

When set to “yes”, KVM power off or reset will prompt to login, as shown in Figure 6MT-VIKI-C

  • F6: Set the host assigned to non-administrators, as shown in Figure 7MT-VIKI-CAT6-8-Port-Integrated-High-Density-KVM-Switch- \(18\)
  • After activating the OSD menu, press the keyboard F6 to enter the Figure 7, press the keyboard F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 in the green part, and the numbers 1 2 3 4 5 will appear on the OSD menu. These numbers represent USER01-05 users. Press F8 to assign all users, and DEL to delete all users’ permissions. For example: 01.SYSTEM01~05.SYSTEM05 These 5 hosts have assigned permissions, enter the user name and the corresponding user password when logging in. Enter user name: USER01, password: 111111. At this ti me, only the first and fifth computers can be controlled. The default administrator user
  • name : ADMIN password: 000000, when you enter this account, you can control any host.

Remote Control Function

  1. CH- CH+: Decrease and increase switching.
  2. F1~-F8 : Use with OSD menu.
  3. Brightness and contrast: Effective when the OSD menu is closed. Use the left and right direction keys on the remote control or the panel to adjust, and use the OK key on the remote control or the ENTER key on the panel to save and exit.
  4. Direction keys: Used with the adjustment of contrast and brightness, and used with the OSD menu.
  5. OK : Setting confirmation.
  6. OSD : OSD menu shortcut keys. You can quickly call up or exit the OSD menu.
  7. Recall: Return to the last selected port.
  8. Number keys : Quickly switch ports and use with OSD menu.
  9. Autoscan : Valid when the OSD menu is closed. Enter automatic scan mode.
  10. Mute: Turn off or turn on the buzzer sound.
