• DO NOT operate under a blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.

• DO NOT carry this appliance by supply cord or use cord as a handle.

• To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then remove plug from outlet.

• DO NOT use outdoors.

• NEVER operate the appliance with the air openings blocked. Keep the air openings free ofb lint, hair, and the like.

• DO NOT stand on or in appliance. Use only while seated.

• Use heated surfaces carefully. May cause serious burns. DO NOT use over insensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation. The unattended use of heat by children or incapacitated persons may be dangerous.

• DO NOT handle plug with wet hands.

• This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any physical ailment that would limit the user’s capacity to operate the controls, or who has sensory deficiencies.

• Always unplug the unit when filling or moving the unit.

• Ensure that your hands are dry when operating the controls or removing the plug.

• Connect this appliance to a properly grounded outlet only. See Grounding Instructions.

CAUTION: All servicing of this footbath must be performed by authorized HoMedics service personnel only.

CAUTION – PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING.

• Consult your doctor prior to using this product, if:
  • You are pregnant
  • You have a pacemaker
  • You have any concerns regarding your health
• NOT recommended for use by diabetics.
• DO NOT attempt to plug or unplug unit while feet are in the water.
• Use appliance on a sturdy or level surface.
• DO NOT use this product for more than 20 minutes at a time.
• xtensive use could lead to the product’s excessive heating and shorter life. Should this occur, discontinue use and allow the unit to cool before operating.
• NEVER use any foot spa on open wounds, discolored areas, or any area of the body that is swollen, burned, inflamed, or where skin eruptions or sores are present.
• If you experience pain in a muscle or joint for a prolonged period of time, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Persistant pain could be a symptom of a more serious condition.
• DO NOT use while sleepy or drowsy.
• Use of this product should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your physician.
• This product is intended for household use only.
• NEVER put soap, salts, or other additives into the water in this footbath.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for the electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This product is equipped with a cord having an equipment grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

DANGER

Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if you are in doubt as to whether the product is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the product – if it will not fit the outlet, you may temporarily use an adapter (Fig. B) until you have a proper outlet (Fig. C) installed by a qualified electrician.

This product is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit, and has a grounding plug that looks like the plug illustrated in (Fig. A). A temporary adapter that looks like the adapter illustrated in (Fig. B) may be used to connect this plug to a 2-pole receptacle as shown in (Fig. D) if a properly grounded outlet is not available. The temporary adapter should be used only until a properly grounded outlet (Fig. C) can be installed by a qualified electrician. The tab for grounding screw (Fig. B) extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box cover. Whenever the adapter is used, it must be held in place by a metal screw. See (Fig. D) and (Fig E).

SHIATSU BLISS WITH HEAT BOOST POWER

• Heat Boost Power heats water to a warm spa temperature in minutes and maintains temperature throughout use.
• Easy controls to select Bubble Massage, Shiatsu Massage, and Heat Boost Power.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Ensure that the unit is unplugged before filling with water. Fill with water to the max fill line located on the inside of the tub. For a quicker heat boost, fill with warm water. Once water reaches selected temperature, it will stay at this temperature for as long as the heat function is selected.
   CAUTION: Do not fill water over the max fill line.

2. Place the unit on a waterproof surface, or any surface that cannot be damaged by splashing water.

3. Plug the unit into a 120-volt household outlet.

4. Sit down in a comfortable position.

5. With the touch of your toe, turn the unit on by selecting the power .

6. Customize your massage by selecting shiatsu, bubbles, and/or heat.

   • Bubble Massage – relieves aching feet
   • Shiatsu massage – kneading massage simulates 2 hands pressing firmly and slowly on the soles of your feet
   • Heat boost- Soothing heat comforts tired feet
     NOTE: The heat function will only work when Shiatsu and/or Bubbles is turned on. You can use heat with shiatsu or bubbles, or shiatsu and bubbles combined.
     NOTE: Shiatsu massage can be used dry or wet, just add water.

7. To empty: Unplug the unit. Take the footbath to the closest drain and tip the unit allowing water to pour out along the drain spout. DO NOT pour water over the control panel.
   NOTE: To reduce splashing due to different water displacements of feet, raise or lower the water level of the footbath.

CAUTION: To avoid injury and irreparable damage, always remain seated when using this footbath. Never stand on or in the unit.

MAINTENANCE

TO CLEAN

Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a soft, damp cloth and mild cleansing agent.

• After cleaning, wipe surfaces with a dry cloth.
• NEVER use strong abrasives, detergents, or cleansing agents.
• Periodically straighten cord if it becomes twisted.

TO STORE

Unplug the appliance from the outlet and allow to cool and dry.

• Store in its box or a cool, dry place.
• To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit.
• DO NOT hang the unit by the power cord.
• This appliance is designed for household use only.

2-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

• HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. HoMedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.
• To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, contact a Consumer Relations representative for assistance. Please make sure to have the model number of the product available.
• HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/ power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.
• This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.
• THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKEPRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.
• This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/or resealed products, including but not limited to sale of such products on internet auction sites and/or sales of such products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease and terminate as to any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified, without the prior express and written consent of HoMedics.
• This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights which may vary from state to state and country to country. Because of individual state and country regulations, some of the above limitations andexclusions may not apply to you.
