Product Usage Instructions

  1. Step 1: Switch off the power supply
    Switch off the power supply by switching off the main breaker or fuse.

  2. Step 2: Connect the Pico Duo Switch
    Connect the Pico Duo Switch according to one of the following diagrams:

  3. Diagram 1: Using a single toggle or momentary switch

  4. Diagram 2: Using a double momentary or separate single-pole toggle switches (optional – S2 can be used for scene activation)

  5. Step 3: Switch on the power supply Switch back on the power supply.

  6. Step 4 : Check LED status The LED of the Pico Duo Switch should pulse slowly now.

Connecting Pico Duo Switch to Your Hub
A. Aeotec Smart Home Hub or SmartThings Hub

  1. From the SmartThings dashboard, tap +.
  2. Tap Add Device, then By brand.
  3. Find and select Aeotec.
  4. Tap Switch / Dimmer.
  5. Tap Aeotec Pico Duo Switch (or Aeotec Switch / Dimmer).
  6. Tap Start, then follow the remaining instructions to pair Pico Duo Switch.
  7. When prompted by your hub, tap the Action Button on Pico Duo Switch twice. The LED will flash rapidly while it attempts to connect.

B. For Home Assistant, Hubitat or other Hubs
Follow the extended instructions in the QR code provided in the Extended Manual section below.

Connection LED States
If the steps were followed correctly, the LED will change from a rapid flash to one of the following LED states depending on success or failure:

  • Success: LED will have a solid light based on the state of the switch output (OFF = LED off, ON = LED on).
  • Fail: LED will return to fading in and out.

Default External Switch Mode
The default external switch setting utilizes a general single-pole toggle switch. To change the switch type, refer to the extended manual for instructions on configuring the Pico Duo Switch.

Not connecting? Try these steps to reset the device;

  1. Press and hold the Action Button for 10+ seconds to manually factory reset Pico Duo Switch.
  2. When the LED fades in and out, the reset is successful.
  3. Try connecting Pico Duo Switch again. Consider a closer
  4. location temporarily for connecting it, then move it into its installation location.
