In the Box

  • 2x halves of the Grid Reflector
  • 1x Feedhorn
  • 1x Reinforced L-Bracket
  • Assorted bolts, washers, and clamps
  • Optional parts included with kit only:
    • 1x 30 ft RS400 coaxial cable
    • 1x TS9, 1x SMA & 1x U.FL pigtail adapter

Assembling Griddy

Assembling Griddy should only take a couple of minutes. All you need is a 10mm wrench or pliers. Follow the step-by-step guide below, and reach out to us if you’re unsure about anything.WAVEFORM-ANT66NF-GP-ANT-Grid-Parabolic-Antenna-

  1. . Bring two halves together with the tabs overlapping.
  2. Check tab arrangement. Excess pressure indicates incorrect alignment.
  3. With outer holes aligned, secure the two halves with the short bolts.
  4. All four outer bolts should be secured with the head of the bolt facing inward.WAVEFORM-ANT66NF-GP-ANT-Grid-Parabolic-Antenna-FIG3
  5. With the feedhorn vertical, use one hand to hold 2 long bolts in place on the left & right arm brackets.
  6. . Position feedhorn so bolts & connector pass through reflector. Place L-Bracket over bolts and connectors
  7. Secure the left & right bolts in place to hold the bracket. Then proceed with the remaining bolts for top & bottom of feedhorn
  8. Either slide the assembled antenna and U-bolts over your mast or secure the U-bolts around your mast.WAVEFORM-ANT66NF-GP-ANT-Grid-Parabolic-Antenna-FIG4
  9. . U-Bolts & toothed brackets should be positioned as shown for a secure grip
  10. Once on the mast, secure nuts on U-bolt. L-bracket allows for vertical alignment.
  11. Use the included right angle adapter for a safe cable connection.
  12. AIM PROPERLY! The antenna must be aimed to within 1°- 2°. See the other side of this document.

Griddy’s Feedhorn Depth Selection

Need a few extra dB of gain at a specific frequency range? Griddy’s adjustable feedhorn allows you to select from one of four positions to squeeze out an extra little bit of performance on a specific band.WAVEFORM-ANT66NF-GP-ANT-

  1. Use a flat tool to remove the pins on both sides.
  2. Slide the feedhorn to the position required and reinsert the pins.

Aiming Griddy at Cell Towers

  • Griddy Has A Very Narrow “Beamwidth.”
That means it will only work when it’s aimed exactly in the direction of the signal source. Even if you’re off by just a few degrees, the signal will be much worse.

  • Don’t Have Line of Sight?
We recommend buying Griddy only if you have a line of sight to the nearest tower. But if you’ve bought Griddy and don’t have a line of sight, you’ll need to figure out the direction of the best signal. Start by using a lower gain directional antenna and scan for the direction with the best signal strength (RSRP) and signal quality (SINR) as measured by your hotspot or booster. Once you’ve found the approximate direction, dial things in further with Griddy. You can also try searching a tool like cellmapper.net to find your nearest tower, and aim Griddy that way. Reach out to us if you need help!

  • Using two or four Griddys for MIMO?
That’s great! Just remember that if you’re using 2 Griddys for 2×2 MIMO you’ll want to “cross-polarize” them by installing at +/- 45-degree angles from vertical. If you’re using 4 Griddys for 4×4 MIMO, you’ll need to space the two pairs of cross-polarized antennas from each other. If you have any questions about this, just reach out to us!

Aiming Griddy for Point-to-Point WiFi
Griddy works great as a WiFi point-to-point antenna! Again, we only recommend this if you have a clear line of sight between the two points. If you have visibility of the target antenna, then align them first by eye, before moving on to fine-tuning. Even a 1°- 2° variance can make a huge difference, so aim accurately!

Pro Tips

  • Line of sight to the signal source is crucial. If there is a tree line, try to get above it where possible
  • Make sure to ground your antenna and mast in case of lightning storm.
  • If you’re unsure about aiming or aren’t getting the results you expect, please reach out to us. We love helping and there’s often an easy fix.
