BATTERY NOTICE & DISPOSAL

Attention:  Battery do not belong in the hands of children. A change of the battery must be done by an adult person. Never mix rechargeable batteries with non-rechargeable batteries. Never mix fully charged batteries with almost empty batteries. Never mix batteries of different capacities. Never try to charge dry batteries. Take care of the correct polarity. Defective batteries belong to special waste. Never leave a charging battery unattended. For questions about the charging time please read the manual or ask the manufacturer. Read the safety instructions and warnings before using or charging the LiIon battery.

  • Stop using or charging it immediately if it leaks, has a temperature above 70° C or anything else unusual occurs.
  • Use only a qualified and specific Li-Po/LiIon charger. Never charge the battery unattended. Do not charge the battery if the charge exceeds 4.2 V / cell. Do not charge the battery with a charging current above 2C. Please check and ensure that you are using a qualified charger. An unqualified charger may cause a fire.
  • Do not discharge the battery with a current exceeding the maximum discharge current. Otherwise, this will cause the battery to overheat. This may result in bursting, fire or explosion.
  • Never disassemble, puncture, knock, drop, short circuit and/or throw the battery into a fire.
  • Improper use such as short-circuiting, or overcharging may result in explosion or fire.
  • Keep the battery in a safe place that babies or children cannot reach.
  • The above indicates the danger of using the battery. The user assumes full responsibility for the outcome of using the battery.

DISPOSAL

AMEWI is registered below the WEEE Reg. Nr. DE93834722 at the foundation EAR and recycles all used electronic parts properly. Electric and electronical products are not allowed to put in household garbage. Please dispose the product at the end of the lifetime according to the actual laws. You as a customer are responsible by law for the return of all used batteries, a disposal over the household garbage is forbidden! Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the alongside symbols, which point to the prohibition of disposal in household garbage.

Additional notations for the critical heavy metal are Cd=Cadmium, Hg=Quicksilver, Pb=lead (Label is placed on the batteries, for example below the bottom left trash symbols).

  • Based on RoHS labelling the manufacturer confirms, that all limit values were taken care of at the time of manufacturing.
  • Batteries labelled with the recycling symbol can be put into used battery collecting tank.

WARNING

  • This remote-controlled model is not a toy. It consists of many small parts and is not suitable for children under 14 years.
  • 4x AA batteries are required for the remote control (not included) a 6,4V 12Ah LiFePo battery for the model is included.
  • Always keep your fingers away from the drive parts and other moving parts to avoid injury.
  • The model’s motor gets very hot. To avoid burn injuries, allow the motor to cool for 10-15 minutes after use before touching it.
  • Please use only the supplied charger or special multi-function model chargers to avoid damaging the battery.
  • Do not look directly into the LED lights.

Warning

  • Please do not operate the model if you are tired or unwell, have drunk alcohol or taken drugs – this may cause injury to yourself or others.

  • Incorrect operation of the transmitter can cause injury to you or others. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the operation before using the model.
  • Check the model and the remote control before use. Check screws to make sure they are tight.
  • When you have finished using the model, always switch off the model first and then the remote control. Otherwise, the model may get out of control.

Battery Instructions

TRANSMITTER BATTERIES

  • Open battery cover
  • Put in 4 AA batteries, notice correct polarity.
  • Switch power on, TX LED light is on. Note: switch on transmitter first before switch on boat.

CHARGING BATTERY

  • Connect first charger to socket. Then connect battery to charger.
  • The light of the charger turns solid on to indicate charging. The light will turn green after fully charged.

WARNING

  • DO NOT leave battery on charge overnight. DO NOT leave battery unattended during charging.
  • DO NOT charge battery when battery is inside boat.
  • DO NOT leave battery plugged into the charger any longer than 6 hours maximum.
  • It takes around 5-6 hours to fully charge battery, disconnect battery with charger after green light is solid on.
  • Fully manual driving, around 14 times bait release per battery charge within 150 meters range.
  • Fully manual driving, around 90 mins continuously driving per battery charge.
  • If combine with GPS autopilot driving, will increase the total driving time to 120 minutes.

PUT BATTERY INSIDE THE BOAT

  • Open boat cover
  • Fix battery with velco strap. Connect battery with receiver plug inside boat.
  • Switch on power button on rear top of the Boat handle, Power light turns on.
  • If not use boat for short time, switch off.
  • Power button. If not use boat for long time, you must disconnect battery from boat.

OPERATION

  • Pull the trigger back, the boat moves forward, push the trigger forward, the boat moves backward; rotate the wheel anti-clockwise, the boat turns left, rotate the wheel clockwise, the boat turns right.
  • Press LED button one time, the night navigation light turns on, press the button again, the night navigation light turns off
  • If boat steer to right without steering input, press ST/L button to adjust boat run straight.
  • If boat steer to left without steering input, press ST/R button to adjust boat run straight.

TRANSMITTER & RECEIVER BIND

  • Switch on transmitter, connect power battery with boat, if RX and BATT.INDICATOR lights don’t turn on, this means you need to bind the transmitter with the receiver.   • Firstly, Make sure transmitter is power off, battery don’t connect with boat. Secondly press ST/L button and hold, Switch on transmitter, TX light solid on, when GPS ON light flash, let go ST/L button.
  • Connect battery with boat, Switch on power button on rear top of boat handle. when RX and BATT.INDICATOR lights turn on, now you have bound the transmitter and receiver.

BAIT HOPPER AND REAR/BOTTOM LOCK

  • When the transmitter and receiver of the boat are both turn on, rotate the knob on the transmitter to C. The bait hopper and rear lock are both open.AMEWI-BAITING-2500-V2-Fishing-People-Baiting-Ait-Boat-RTR-GPS-Range-fig-14
  • Attach a metal ring on fishing line, Put the metal ring on rear lock, Rotate the knob from C to A, the rear lock pin will be extended out to lock the metal ring.
    • NOTE: This arrangement is used to release the hook. so, when boat take line out, the tension force is on the rear lock.
  • Put the hook in the hopper through the bottom of hopper door, firstly close the left door, secondly close the right door
    • ( Note: pull fishing line out through the hopper door’s hole.) Thirdly Push down the lock latch.
  • Put baits inside the hopper. Rotate the knob from A to C, the hopper door and rear lock will be open to release baits and hook.

GPS AUTOPILOT

  • Switch on transmitter power first. Then connect battery with receiver plug inside boat, The TX red light and RX green light are both turn on. (Indicate the transmitter and boat are working)
  • Wait for GPS-ON green light start to flash. (Remarks: It takes about 3-5 minutes, based on circumstances) which indicates the GPS mode on receiver starts working.

ORIGINAL POINT SET UP & ONE BUTTON RETURN FUNCTION

  • Control the boat to a spot 10 meters away from the shore. This location to be the original point that you need to set up.
  • Press the button GPS-ON on transmitter over 5 seconds. Green light GPS ON from flash to be solid on, original point is memorized, it is also the home point.
  • After the boat driven to some distance, Press button GPS-ON over 1 second, GPS-RETURN green light is solid on, the boat will return to the original point automatically. When arrive at original point, you will hear a beep sound on TX, GPS RETURN light will be off.
  • Control Priority: When the boat is under the status of one button return automatically, if you pull or push the trigger or rotate the wheel, the boat will cancel return automatically and turn to be controlled by human. Once again if you want to start return automatically, you need to press button GPS ON over 1 second again. then the boat will return automatically.

FAIL SAFE FUNCTION

When boat is out of control range, or you can’t see the boat in lake. You can switch off the transmitter power, after 30 seconds, the Fail-Safe function activated, boat is autopilot driven to original point where you setup. When you can see the boat or boat is within the control range, switch on transmitter, control boat back to shore.

FISHING SPOT MARKING FUNCTION

  • After the RC boat driven to a location where you want to mark as first fishing spot, press any one of the 4 GPS POSITIONING button over 5 seconds, the green light will be solid on (now you have set up first fishing spot).
  • If you want boat gets back to the marked fishing spot, Press GPS POSITIONING button over 1 second, relevant red light will be solid on, boat go to marked fishing spot by GPS autopilot.AMEWI-BAITING-2500-V2-Fishing-People-Baiting-Ait-Boat-RTR-GPS-Range-fig-18
  • When the boat arrives at the spot by GPS autopilot, Boat stop, the red light will be off, and transmitter will make beep sound to indicate boat has arrived at the marked fishing spot.
  • You can set up 4 different fishing spots by pressing the corresponding GPS POSITIONING button over 5 seconds.
  • If you want to cancel a marked spot, press corresponding button over 5 seconds. Then the green light turns off to show that the fishing spot is cancelled.
    • NOTE: If you are fishing in a new location, you need to cancel all the marked fishing spots and original point where you previously setup in last Fishing location.

LOW VOLTAGE WARNING

  • When transmitter and RC boat are both power on, the four green lights on the transmitter turn on.
  • When the power of the battery is running low, the 4 green lights will flash, transmitter will make sound and front and rear navigation light will flash to remind you need to drive the boat back and recharge battery.
    • NOTE: when BATT INDICATOR lights flash, boat battery will have some power to let you drive boat at least 600 meters.

IMPORTANT USAGE TIPS

Under normal usage situation, the boat is watertight. Should be no water getting inside hull. But if your careless leave hatch open and in the situation of heavy rain or other reason, excessive water inside the hull. You can follow below instruction to disassemble the weed guards and drain the water out easily from hull.

  • Loose the two screws that hold the two weed guards.
  • Take out the two weed guards. Take out the two water drain plugs.
  • Drain water through the two holes.
  • Put back the two water drain plugs, place the weed guards on place and tighten the screws.

IMPORTANT USAGE TIPS

  1. Setting up the original point is very critical and the basic of GPS one button return and fail-safe function. Before you use your boat to delivery bait, you should firstly set up the original point, refer to manual chapter GPS Autopilot for the correct set up. Neglect of doing this, this boat can’t achieve the GPS one button return and fail-safe function.
  2. The transmitter is not waterproof, keep your transmitter away from water, Otherwise, you will be lost control of the boat.
  3. When you drive the boat with transmitter, you should keep the transmitter at over 1-meter height to the water surface, this will ensure better radio range and receiving signal. If possible, the higher the better.
  4. The transmitter range is 500 meters (depend on weather and circumstance), Transmitter and receiver are bidirectional transmission, the receiver transmission range is 300 meters (depend on weather and circumstance), when boat out of 300 meters range with transmitter, The LED lights on transmitter “BATT.INDICATOR” and GPS autopilot function lights will likely to be flashing or turn off. When you hold your transmitter up in a higher location, you can improve the receiver transmission range and LED lights might be turn on again. (NOTE: the transmitter is still working properly with boat within 500 meters radio range)
  5. After use the boat in the sea, you must wash body and metal parts by freshwater, this will prevent the metal parts rusted. After each use, open the hatch, let air dry.

RADIO HANGER

  • The triangular hanger and screws are included in the accessory bag.
  • Use the hanger to hang the remote control around your neck with a ribbon or hang it on the holder for the fishing rod.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If you have replaced the remote control, receiver, motor, you cannot use the boat immediately. Perform the following procedure to bind the remote control to the receiver, assign a new transmitter ID and calibrate the ESC.

Transmitter calibrate

  1. Remote control and boat must be switched off.
  2. Press and hold the ST/R and GPS ON buttons.
  3. Switch on the remote control. The indicator lights BATT.INDICATOR, GPS ON and GPS RETURN light up. Release the buttons after five seconds. Switch off the remote control.

Radio new ID Setup

  1. The remote control and the boat must be switched off.
  2. Press and hold the ST/R button.
  3. Switch on the remote control and the GPS RETURN LED lights up. Release the button after five seconds, the LED will turn off. Switch off the remote control.

Transmitter BIND with boat

  1. Remote control and boat must be switched off.
  2. Press and hold the ST/L button.
  3. Switch on the remote control until the GPS ON LED flashes. Release the ST/L button.
  4. Connect the battery to the ESC BATT indicator, RX LED light up. Now the remote control and the receiver are bound.

ESC calibrate

  1. Pull the throttle lever all the way back and hold it. Switch on the remote control, the TX ON LED lights up.
  2. Connect the battery to the ESC.
  3. You will hear the following sound groups.
    • Di-Di, Di-Di, Di-Di, Di-Di
    • De-De-De-De, De-De-De-De, (Release the throttle between the second and third sound)
    • De-De-De-De, De-De-De-De
    • Release the throttle between the second and third sound. BATT-INDICATOR and RX LED light up. You will then hear the DE DEEE calibration confirmation sound. If the ESC does not play this confirmation sound, you must perform the calibration again.

IMPORTANT

  • If you release the throttle stick between the first and second sound or the third and fourth sound, you may still hear the correct confirmation tone.
  • However, the ESC is then not calibrated correctly. Please note that you only release the lever between the third and fourth sound.

Motor Reverse

  • If you have installed a new brushless motor, then check whether the motor turns around properly.
  • You can see this when the propeller blows wind to the rear. If this is not the case, two of the three cables from the motor to the ESC must be replaced.
