Product Information

The product is a complete nail care set that includes passive nail correction/stabilization, fixation of wire nail braces, and nail fold tamponade. The set also includes a list of ingredients used in the product. The hard strip of composite gel acts as a stabilizing corset that grows on top of the nail, ensuring that the nail plate maintains its flatter curvature, making it suitable for brittle nails, onycholysis, and at-risk patients like diabetics or patients suffering from PVD. The product also includes a Callusan Care Concept that offers eight different varieties of cream mousse for healthy skin and wellbeing on feet, hands, and body.

Product Usage Instructions

Preparation of nail-plate:

1. Thickened nails should be carefully thinned to a normal degree.
2. Residues of nail varnish or similar should be removed.
3. Gently roughen the surface of the nail.
4. Ensure that the nail is dry, clean, and without grease.

Application

1. From the shortest possible distance, expose the hard composite gel to light for 20 seconds.
2. The extremely hard strip of composite gel now acts as a kind of stabilizing corset and will grow forwards on top of the nail.
3. Nail fold tamponade (Sulci Protector) should be applied for 20 seconds.
4. Done.

Passive nail correction grounds on the observation, that involuted nails commonly show a lesser degree of curvature at the proximal end in comparison to the distal end of the nailplate. By conserving this flatter shape of the nail while it is growing forewards, the entire nailplate will become flatter over the course of time. This is achieved by applying a strip of UNGUISAN® HARD COMPOSITE GEL transverse to the direction of nail growth at the proximal end of the nail plate (see picture 1).

The extremely hard strip of composite gel now acts as a kind of stabilizing corset and will grow forwards on top of the nail. This will ensure that the nailplate maintains its flatter curvature. Because no active force is applied, the transformation takes place without pain, free of tension and as careful as possible. Hence, this method is even applicable in cases of brittle nails, onycholysis and even suitable for at-risk-patients like diabetics or patients suffering from PVD (peripheral vascular disease).

Pro-Tip : After a successsful course of active nail correction having utilized braces like Ross Fraser, 3TO or similar, nail stabilization with UNGUISAN® HARD COMPOSITE GEL will maintain the result and prolong the benfit for the patient.

Application of UNGUISAN® PRIMER:

1. a. Apply UNGUISAN® PRIMER with a brush (single use) on the nail plate.
2. b. Avoid skin contact.
3. c. The UNGUISAN® PRIMER is light-curing. The curing time with the UNGUISAN® Bluelight lamp is approx. 20 seconds.
4. d. Close the bottle tightly immediately after use, since UNGUISAN® PRIMER can dry out.

Application of UNGUISAN® HARD COMPOSITE GEL:

1. a. Apply gel directly from syringe onto the nail.
2. b. If necessary, use spatula to shape as desired.
3. c. Recommended thickness is 2-3 mm

Only use UNGUISAN® BLUE LIGHT HIGH-PERFORMANCELED- LIGHT

1. a. From shortest possible distance expose HARD COMPOSITE GEL to light for 20 seconds
2. b. Done

FIXATION OF WIRE BRACES WITH THE UNGUSIAN® BLUELIGHT STANDARD GEL

1. Apply UNGUISAN® Blue Light Standard Gel with dosing syringe with pinpoint accuracy.
2. Only 20 sec. curing with the special UNGUISAN® high-power LED lamp. Ready is the quick and easy clasp fastening

NAIL FOLD TAMPONADE

(SULCI PROTECTOR)

1. Insert enough UNGUISAN® Blue Light Standard Gel into the uninjured nail fold.
2. Pack the nail fold with Ligasano® so that the open-pored foam soaks up the gel. If necessary, absorb excess gel with a swab. Cure the geltamponade for 20 sec. with the UNGUISAN® highperformance LED lamp

UNGUISAN® Blue Light Gel Standard:
Aliphatic urethanedimethacrylate, silica, 2-Methylpropenacid, fotoinitiator, BHT, CI 12480
