Getting Started
Please read and understand warnings & safety instructions before operating.
- You will need to insert a memory card before you can start recording. Please insert only a brand name Class-10, U3 or higher speed Micro-5D card for reliable operation.
- Before first time use, you MUST format the memory card in the camera to prevent any errors and for smooth operation.
- GKU dash cam is programmed to turn ON and START RECORDING automatically when it receives power, and STOPS RECORDING and turns OFF automatically when power gets disconnected within 4-5 seconds. (when you start /stop your car)
- Setting Date & Time: Please set the correct date and time. Based on your location under the Date/Time by going to camera’s system settings menu.
Warnings
- Do not expose this product to rain, moisture or water under any circumstances or itwill result in external or internal damage.
- Do not puttee unitin a damp environment. This device is not designed to be damp proof.
- Do not try to open the cover or ty to repair it yourself. If the accessories for this device have any problem, please contact the seller for assistance.
- Do not leave the camera i the direct sunlight for & long period of time or where temperature could go above 160° (70°C)

Installation
Installation of Front Camera
Insert a micro SD card into the card slot, be aware of the orientation shown
in the picture below. To remove the micro SD card, gently put its top edge
inward until it clicks, it will pop up and can be removed.
Tips:
- The Micro SD Card must be formatted before use.
- This dash cam supports 64-128gb micro SD Card, please format it before use
- It’s recommended to format SD Card reqularly.
Installation of suction cup

Align the mount with the mounting groove located at the top of the camera, slot into the groove, backwards and forwards,

Connect the car charger to the cigar port
Installation of Rear Camera
Position 1:
Install the rear camera on the rear windshield.
Position 2:
Install the rear camera nearby the license plate.
Tips:
- Please clean the position to ensure the adhesive quality before install the rear camera.
- Please clean the rear windshield regularly to ensure the video quality if choose the position 1
- If choose the position 2, you can install the rear camera with the included adhesive sticker or screws.

Dash Cam Startup
AUTO POWER ON/OFF
Auto Power ON : GKU Dash Cam is designed to turn ON and start recording
automatically when it receives power.
Auto Power OFF: The camera is also pre-configured to turn itself OFF
automatically within few seconds when the power gets disconnected, when the
car key is turned to LOCK position.
Caution:
Some trucks/car’s 12V cigarette outlet is always HOT, which means it provides constant power even when the car is turned OFF and LOCKED. If this is the case for your vehicle, then the auto ON/OFF feature will not work. And If you leave the camera continuously recording when the car is turned off, then it will drain your car/truck’s battery and you might not have enough power to start your car for next time. To Remedy this situation, you can do one of the two option.
- You need to use a hardwire kit to solve this issue.
- Change the connection in the fuse box for your 12V outlet to socket which.
- only supplies power when car key is turned to ACC or ON position.
Manual power on/off
To manually turn ON : Press the power button once. To manually turn OFF: Press and hold the power button for at least 2-3 seconds.
Note:
Be sure to insert the Memory card before powering up the device. Do NOT insert/remove the memory card while the camera is turned ON. Only do so when it is turned OFF.
Dash Cam Function Explanation
Loop Recording
Options: 1 Minutes/ 3 Minutes/ 5 Minutes Automatically overwrite the unlocked video when the Micro card is full, to ensure the normal recording.
Loop Lock File
In normal situation, the dash cam can not overwrite locked video, turn on this option can loop locked videa chronologically.
G-Sensor
Options: OFF/ Low/ Medium/High
When detect car vibration, the section of the file will be locked, the higher the vibration, the more files are locked. If there are too many locked files, that machine may stop recording, which need to format Micro card. Therefore, please do not se this induction index high.
parking Monitoring
Turn on this function, the device will automatically record when it detects car vibration in the parking state. Parking guards need special power boxes for specific Car Dash Cam Camera to connect the ACC and GND in the safety box. (hardwire kit not included)

Formatting Micro SD Card
To ensure compatibility with the camera, the SD card needs to et formatted on the camera. This dashcam supports an SD d, up to 128GB with class 10 & above.
Tap to enter setting interface, select ‘Format’ to format the SD card.
- All data will be deleted after a successful format, please remember to backup your important data on your other devices in advance.
- Every time you insert an SD card, please format it in the camera to ensure that the SD card is compatible with the camera,
Video Playback & Deletion
Press ‘M’ button enter first class menu, choose playback to view the video.
Choose the folder
Delete Video Long Press ‘M’ button, and select delete options.
Note: The file name ending with ‘F’ is front camera, R’ is Cancel rear camera.

Q: Why my rear camera shows black screen?
A: Please make sure connect the rear camera before turning on the dash cam, if connect the rear camera when the dash cam on, it may cause short circuit. If the problem still exists, please let us know, we will replace a new rear camera cable for you.
Q: My car doesn't have cigar lighter, can I use USB cable instead car
charger?
A: Yes, you can buy a long Type-C USB cable to charge the dash cam instead of car charger.
Q: I want to achieve 24H parking mode with hardwire kit, how do I do that?
