INSIGNIA NS-HPBTAA23 Bluetooth Wireless Transmitter and Receiver

Before using your new product, read these instructions to prevent any damage.

FEATURES

OVERVIEW

CHARGING YOUR ADAPTER

Plug the included USB to USB-C cable or a Lightning cable (not included) into your wall charger. Plug the other end of the cable into the USB-C or Lightning port on your adapter.

Notes:

  • Do not use the USB-C and Lightning ports on your adapter at the same time.
  • You can use a USB-C to USB-C cable (not included) to charge your adapter if the power draw is less than 100W.
  • When the battery is charging, the red LED lights solid.
  • When the battery is fully charged, the red LED turns off

TRANSMITTER MODE

In transmitter mode, you can connect your adapter to a media source, and play the audio on your earbuds or headset via Bluetooth. Setting up your wireless adapter (TX mode)

  1. Switch to “TX” mode.
  2. Connect one end of the included audio cable to the 3.5 mm jack on your adapter.
  3. Connect the other end to an audio output on your media source.

Connect to the first headset or music receiver

  • Put your Bluetooth headphone or Bluetooth music receiver in pairing mode. (onsult the documentation for those devices for more information.
  • Add LED behaviors so amend as below: Press and hold the MFB button for three seconds to enter to pairing mode. And Red and Blue LED blinks alternatively.
  • When your adapter and devices are connected, the blue LED blinks once every five seconds.

Connect to the second headset or music receiver

  • Put your second Bluetooth headphones or music receiver into pairing mode. Consult the documentation for those devices for more information.
  • Press the MFB button twice to pair with a second device. The blue LED bIinks quickly for two minutes while pairing
  • After both devices have connected to your adapter, the blue LED blinks twice every fīve seconds. Audio will be played to both devices simultaneously.

USING YOUR WIRELESS ADAPTER (TX MODE)

  • Press 1.5 second to turn on the adapter. The adapter will onnect back to last paired devices
  • When turn on first time, Red and Blue LED blinks. When connected, the Blue LED blinks once every five seconds.

Optimize volume and sound quality (TX mode)

When you connect your earbuds with your adapter and the audio is too low, too loud, or overdrive dlipping distortion, you can slide the level switch to optimize the volume.

Understanding LED indicators (TX mode)

RECEIVER MODE

In receiver mode, your adapter can receive audio from your Bluetooth device and send the signal to be played on stereo speakers. Setting up your wireless adapter (RX mode)

  1. Switch to “RX” mode.
  2. Connect one end of the included audio cable to the 3.5 mm jack on your adapter.
  3. Connect the other end to an audio input on your home stereo system. See your stereo’s user manual for more information on connections.

Pairing your wireless adapter (RX mode)

  1. Add LED behaviors so amend as below:Press and hold the MFB button for three seconds to
  2. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone and set it to pairing mode.
  3. When your adapter and device is connected, the blue LED blinks once every five second. Then music can be played.

USING YOUR WIRELESS ADAPTER RX MODE°

  • Press 1.5 second to turn on the adapter. The adapter will connect back to last paired devices.
  • When turn on first time, Red and Blue LED blinks. When connected, the Blue LED blinks once every five seconds.
  • Click MFB button 1 time to play or pause music.
  • Double click MFB button to play next track.
  • Click MFB button three times to play previous track.

Note: this function is valid when your Smartphone supports AVRCP

General Pairing Notes:

  • Some devices, such as an iPhone, connect immediately after pairing so the blue LED on the Bluetooth audio adapter blinks once every five seconds. Other devices, such as notebook computers, may ask you if you wish to connect. In this instance, the red and blue LEDS flash until a connection is established.
  • Your Bluetooth audio adapter saves pairing information for up to two devices in each mode.
  • When you turn on your Bluetooth audio adapter, it automatically connects to the last connected device if that device is in range. To connect to a diferent paired device, you have to turn off
  • Bluetooth or unpair from the currently paired device and manually connect to the other paired one.
  • The auto-connect feature may not work with some Bluetooth devices. if this ocurs, use your Bluetooth device setings menu to manually select Insignia NS-HPBTAA23 from the list offound Bluetooth devices.

Understanding LED indicators (RX mode)

RESET YOUR WIRELESS ADAPTER

If you want to clear all saved devices, press and hold the MFB button for seven seconds while the adapter is off. The Red LED blinks slowly 5 times to indicate devices cleared then enter into pairing mode.

TROUBLESHOOTING

No power.

  • Make sure that your adapter power cable is connected to your adapter and a power outlet.
  • Make sure that your adapter is turned on.
    No sound or low volume

TX mode:

  • Shorten the distance between your devices and adapter.
  • Make sure that all connections are secure.
  • Turn up the volume on your media source.
  • Make sure that your earbuds or headset has a Bluetooth connection with your adapter.

RX mode:

  • Shorten the distance between your devices and adapter.
  • Make sure that all connections are secure.
  • Turn up the volume on your media source.
  • Make sure that your media source has a Bluetooth connection with your adapter.

Cannot establish a Bluetooth connection.

  • Shorten the distance between your adapter and your Bluetooth device.
  • Make sure that you have selected Insignia NS-HPBTAA23 on your Bluetooth device.
  • Make sure that your adapter is not paired to another Bluetooth device.
  • Make sure that your adapter and Bluetooth device are both in pairing mode.
  • Make sure that your Bluetooth device is not connected to any other device.
  • My adapter does not appear on my Bluetooth device.
  • Shorten the distance between your adapter and your Bluetooth device.
  • Put your adapter into pairing mode, then refresh your list of Bluetooth devices. For more information, see the documentation that came with your Bluetooth device

SAFETY WARNINGS

  • The adapter requires full connection and both hands to install.
  • The adapter has Lithium – Polymer batteries. Please do not open the unit to prevent unwanted short circuit happening.
  • Do not use the adapter near water (for example, a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, wet basement, swimming pool, or other areas located near water).
  • Clean with a dry cloth.
  • Power off the adapter before cleaning.
  • Install the adapter far away from heat sources.
  • Use only the attached accessories.
  • Power off the adapter when unused for long time.
