OPERATION

Temperature setting
Let the iron preheat before use. If you change the temperature, wait for the iron to adapt to the new setting before using it; especially if you select a lower temperature setting. The iron takes longer to cool down than to heat up, so it is advisable to start ironing from a lower temperature.

Before first use

WARNING: remove adhesive stickers and any other plastic or cardboard packaging from the soleplate. Be sure to remove all stickers by rubbing the soleplate with a cloth dampened with methyl alcohol. Rinse the water tank: fill and empty it to remove any possible manufacturing residues.

NOTE: when the iron is switched on for the first time, it may release steam for up to 10 minutes due to the heating of the manufacturing residues. This is normal and does not impair the operation of the iron.
Filling up the water tank
Before filling the iron’s water tank, make sure that it is switched off. It is possible to fill the water tank before or during use. To do this, place the iron in an upright position and open the tank cover; slowly pour the water through the filling hole without exceeding the maximum capacity of the tank. Put the tank cover back on.

Using the iron
Connect the iron to a power supply and turn it on.

Adjustment for synthetic, silk, and wool garments
If you want to iron dry, it is not necessary to fill the tank. If you want to dry iron and there is water in the tank, empty it before use.

  1. Plug in the iron and switch it on.
  2. After switching on, the indicator light on the iron will light up steadily.
  3. Turn the temperature knob from OFF to the desired position: Synth, Silk, or Wool.
  4. Once preheating is complete, the indicator light will flash you can use the iron when the indicator light changes from flashing to steady.

Adjustment for cotton and linen
For more difficult fabrics (such as cotton or wool), use the steam function and always set the temperature to the maximum setting.

  1. Fill up the water tank. Note: Before steam ironing, make sure that the tank is at least 1/4 full.
  2. Plug in the iron and switch it on.
  3. The indicator light will come on to indicate that the appliance has started up correctly.
  4. Turn the temperature knob from OFF to the desired setting: Cotton or MAX/linen.

  6. To deactivate the continuous steam function, press the steam button again: the indicator light will go out.

Do not apply steam during dry ironing of synthetic, silk, or woollen garments.

Turn the knob to the Cotton or MAX/linen position. When the indicator light changes from flashing to steady, press the steam button twice in succession: the corresponding indicator light will light up and the iron will emit a steam burst. To release another steam burst, wait 5 seconds for the indicator light to go out, then press the steam button again twice in succession.

Warning:

  1. Make sure the tank is at least 1/4 full.

  2. Then, turn the temperature selector to the OFF position. With the soleplate downwards, hold the iron over a sink or container and press the steam button for 3 seconds to start the electromagnetic pump for 1 minute: water and steam will come out of the soleplate.

When cleaning is finished, turn the temperature knob to MAX/linen position, wait for the indicator light to change from flashing to steady and iron an unused fabric so that the remaining water inside the soleplate is vaporised.
