SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the device.
Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

  • Ensure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the device rating label and that the plug is earthed.

  • Care should be taken when using the appliance due to the emission of steam. Unplug the device during filling and cleaning.

  • The appliance should not be left unattended while plugged to a power supply.

  • The appliance should not be used if it has fallen, shows any visible sign of damage, or if it leaks.

  • Keep this appliance and its power cord out of reach of children under the age of 8 when it is plugged in or cooling down.

  • This symbol means “caution, hot surface”. The accessible surfaces of the appliance may reach high temperatures during operation. Be careful not to burn yourself. Do not touch hot surfaces during operation or immediately after.

  • Do not leave the iron unattended while connected to the power supply.

  • Filling openings that are under pressure must not be opened during use.

  • Check the power cable regularly for visible damage.
    If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the Technical Support Service of Cecotec or similar qualified personnel to avoid risks..

  • This device is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices. Do not use the appliance for industrial or commercial purposes.

  • Do not twist, bend, pull, or damage the power cable.
    Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources. Do not allow the cable to touch hot surfaces. Do not let the cable hang over the edge of the working surface or worktop.

  • Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the device in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the device.

  • Do not use the device with perfume, vinegar or other liquids. It is designed to operate only with water.

  • Avoid contact with the steam generated by the iron.
    Care should be taken when using the appliance due to the emission of steam. Steam temperature is very high and can cause burns and other damage.

  • Do not exceed the MAX mark on the water tank when filling the appliance with water.

  • Do not use outdoors, close to baths, showers, swimming pools or in bathrooms.

  • The appliance should not be left unattended while plugged to a power supply, in operation or hot.

  • Never operate the appliance while clothes are on the body or direct steam towards people.

  • Unplug the appliance before attaching any of its accessories, filling water, cleaning or descaling.

  • Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface. Keep it away from wet surfaces.

  • Make sure the product is properly assembled before use and use only attachments or accessories provided by Cecotec.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.

  • Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by or near children.

BEFORE USE

  • This device is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you  prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
  • Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

OPERATION

  • Turn the water tank clockwise and remove it. Open the silicone plug and fill the tank to the maximum capacity (Fig. 2).

  • Hold the device with one hand and attach the bristle brush to the iron head with the other hand (Fig. 3).

  • After filling the tank, put it back into the iron and connect it to the power supply: the indicator light will illuminate white (preheating).

  • Wait for 40 seconds: the indicator light will turn off, showing the preheating end. Next, press the steam button to start using the iron.
    Note: intermittent switching on and off of the indicator light is normal and indicates correct operation of the temperature control.

  • After use, press the steam button to stop the steam, unplug the appliance, let it cool down and store it in a dry place out of the reach of children.

  • Pump protection system: If the water tank is empty, the pump will emit a continuous sound and the protection system will activate after 45 seconds to protect the pump.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

NOTE

  • Make sure the iron is unplugged from the mains before cleaning.
  • Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
  • Remove the brush head and clean the steam outlet with a damp cloth.
  • Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
  • Do not put the garment steamer in water or any other liquid.
  • Always empty the water tank after each use and rinse with clean water.
  • Clean the housing with a damp cloth.
  • Always ensure the steam outlet hole is clean, free from scaling and not blocked.
  • Once the garment steamer is disconnected from the power outlet, cooled down, water is emptied and the device is clean, it is recommended to wrap the cord safely around the steamer to store in an upright position.

Cleaning water mineral deposits

  • To prevent minerals from building up or reduce them, follow the below recommendations:

  • Carry out this process once every month if not using natural water.
    1. Make sure the appliance is unplugged and cooled down.
    2. Mix 50 % of descaling product and 50 % low-mineral or natural water.
    3. Remove the water tank as indicated before, open the rubber plug and carefully pour the solution into the tank. Put the plug back,
    4. Leave to stand for 40 minutes and empty the tank after this time.
    5. Fill the tank with clean water, rinse and empty. Repeat this step until any odour disappears.

  • This process only cleans the water tank.

  • Do not plug the device during this process.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Solution
The iron does not produce steam – Make sure there is enough water in the tank

Check if the indicator light is green.
– Hold the appliance vertically during use.
The tank leaks water| – Make sure you have not exceeded the maximum tank capacity.
– Make sure the water tank and plug are correctly assembled.
– Keep the appliance vertically according to these instructions.
The iron produces a loud buzzing or pumping sound| – Check the water level: if the tank is about to be emptied or is empty, fill it.
– If the tank is empty and the water pump has absorbed air, you need to fill the tank and press the  steam button for a while until the air inside the pump is removed and starts to absorb water, at which point the sound will disappear and steam will start to come out.
