Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Download and Install Hikvision SADP Software Tool

  • To begin, you need to download and install the Hikvision SADP software tool on your computer. This tool will help you configure the camera and NVR settings.

Step 2: Connect the Computer and Camera on the Same LAN
Ensure that both your computer and the camera are connected to the same Local Area Network (LAN). Use a network cable to establish the connection between them. Avoid using WiFi for this setup.

Step 3: Query the IP Address of the Camera
Launch the Hikvision SADP software tool on your computer. The tool will automatically detect the connected camera and display its IP address. Note down this IP address for further configuration.

S tep 4: Modify Camera IP Address

  1. Select the camera IP address in the SADP software.
  2. Modify the IP address to a value between 192.168.254.2 and 192.168.254.254.
  3. Set the gateway address to 192.168.254.1.
  4. Enter the camera password (default password: 123456).
  5. Select “Modify”.
  6. Wait for the parameters modification to complete.

Step 5: Connect the Camera to the NVR
Use a network cable to connect the PG camera to the Power-over-Ethernet (POE) port of the Hikvision NVR. This connection will provide both power and data transmission between the camera and the NVR.

Step 6: Configure Camera Settings on NVR

  1. Right-click on the NVR interface and select “Menu”.
  2. In the configuration menu, navigate to “Camera” and click on “Edit”.
  3. Choose “Manual” as the camera configuration mode.
  4. Enter the camera’s IP address (e.g., 192.168.254.2).
  5. Select “ONVIF” as the protocol.
  6. Enter the IP camera password (default password: 123456).
  7. Click “OK” to save the settings.

Step 7: View Live Camera Feed
The camera has been successfully added to the NVR. To view the live camera feed, select “Live View” on the NVR interface and choose the desired camera display image.
