360X70mm ASTRONOMICAL TELESCOPE
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Introduction
ESSLNB new astronomy telescope can let you enjoy and explore both terrestrial
and celestial objects in our nature as well as a lot of fun. Our manufacturer
promises that it is a kind of high-end product with nonpolluting and non-
toxicity substances, each of whose materials have passed the professional
certification to be harmless to the human body. Please read this instruction
manual carefully and completely. There is much important information you need
to know to give the best effect from your telescope.
If you need help in assembling or operating your telescope, you may contact us
by mail at any time.
Let’s go on a wonderful journey to operate our telescope. Wish you will love
it.
WARNING
TO AVOID ANY EYE INJURY NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY INTO ANOTHER OPTICAL INSTRUMENT
THROUGH THE TELESCOPE AND NEVER OBSERVE THE SUN WITH UNPROTECTED EYES!

Instruction For Assembly
By following these instructions, it should be easy to quickly set up your telescope.
- Extend the tripod legs(Q)as shown to lock them at desired length by opening the wing nut
- Gently pull the tripod apart and close the wing nut
- By using center column lock knob(M), you can adjust center column height and then tighten it.
- Loosen Azimuth lock knob(L) and use the pan handle to move the pan head to desired direction
- Take the main telescope tube (J) and place on the tripod head (K) platform. Secure by rotating the tripod lock bolt(N).(Don’t tighten by twisting the telescope onto the tripod as it may cause damage to the telescope mount or tripod head).
- Loosen the thumbscrews and then insert finderscope into the bracket. Objective lens should be directed towards the front.
- Mount the finder scope onto the main telescope tube by removing the two silver nuts on the tube and reattaching them over the finder scope bracket. Ensure that the bracket is angled towards the front of the telescope as shown in the diagram
- Insert diagonal lens (D) into the focusing tube(C). Hold it in place by tightening down the corresponding mounting bolts
- Loosen thumbscrew. Insert eyepiece into Diagonal prism (F). Tighten it. The eyepiece requires adjusting using small tightening screw.
- If there is a below it, insert it between eyepiece(diagonal lens)and the focusing tube. Maybe it’s better effect between eyepiece and focusing tube without diagonal lens. Depending on your need
Assembly is completed
Telescope Use
- Remove all covers
- Loosen screw, look into the eyepiece and turn the telescope to your target by pan and tilt handle, then tighten with Azimuth lock knob (K)
- Tighten the screw and handle
- Roll focusing knob to make target clear.
- Look into the eyepiece of finderscope, roll the eyepiece of finderscope until target get clear
- For calibration, lessen screw and move the finderscope until the target is the same as in the telescope, then tighten
- After calibration of finderscope, look into eyepiece of it, turn the direction of telescope to your target, then tighten screw
- Look into the eyepiece of telescope, roll the focusing knob to make the target clear
- Replace to high power eyepiece to magnify your target
- If there is a below Len, insert it as shown in the instruction of assembly
FINDERSCOPE ADJUSTMENT
Before attempting to use your new telescope it is recommended that you set up your finder scope first. You may find that the finder scope will need adjustments so that the image viewed through the finder scope is the same as viewed through the telescope eyepiece. The finder scope has a lower magnification and a much wider field of view, thus will help to find your chosen subject easily.
- Using the lowest power eyepiece(20mm) placed in the eyepiece holder. Find a well defined object about 300 meters away.
- Looking through the finder scope, adjust and tighten the Finder scope adjustment screws (C) as necessary on the finder scope bracket(B) until the view-finder’s cross hairs are precisely centered on the same object, as seen through the telescope eyepiece. The finder scope is focused by rotating the finder scope focusing ring(D).
- Once they are both aligned, the telescope is ready to operate. Objects found using the finder scope will then be centered in the main telescope’s field of view.
EYEPIECE AND THEORETICAL POWER LIMITS
The operational magnification, or power, of a telescope is determined by dividing the focal length of the telescope tube by the focal length of the eyepiece in use.
3X Barlow lens
The 3X Barlow lens when used in conjunction with the 20mm or 6mm eyepieces
will increase the magnification by 3 times(resulting in slight loss of light
and image quality).
Carefully remove the diagonal prism by loosening the retaining screw found on
the eyepiece holder mount and replace with the 3X Barlow lens. Insert the
chosen eyepiece into the holder of the Barlow lens and secure by tightening
the retaining screw.
Eyepiece | Power | With 3X Barlow lens |

K6mm | 60X | 180X |

CARE OF THETELESCOPE
- Daytime observation of distant objects is a good way to get accustomed to using the telescope. Observation of the moon or a bright star is easier for first time evening use.
- Always start with the lowest power eyepiece lens first, changing to the higher power only after you have found the object to be viewed. Focus by rotating the focusing wheel until the image is clear.
- Avoid touching the eyepiece or telescope while in use, as this may cause the object to move out of the telescope’s field of view. The tripod should be positioned on a firm surface.
- The telescope position can be adjusted by loosening the Pan and tilt handle.
- Allow your eyes to become adjusted to the darkness before night-time observations.
- Using the telescope through an open or closed window may cause distortion.
- Atmospheric conditions, such as fog and heavy cloud cover, will affect image quality.
- When not in use, keep the telescope in a dry place.
- Clean the lens surfaces as infrequently as possible, using a soft lens brush or compressed air to gently remove dust. Wipe only with a soft lens cleaning cloth.
